I've been coming to this place since I was a little kid. And now, it's newer & nicer. If you like pan dulce, try them out. They have a decent selection of baked breads and I believe can put together a cake for you upon request.

The way you can shop and choose your own bag is convenient. Always great variety and it's all fresh.

Mediocre bread. So dry. Found the wing of a critter and it really "bugged" me. They ruined sweet bread for me.

YUM!!! Molletes, Campechanas, Cakes, and Cuernos are my faves! The crispy pineapple filled triangle thingies are the bomb too!

The Sweet Blvd - A perfect cheesecake for a party

I'm pretty sure I can't even find fluffy jiggly cheesecake in San Antonio, what makes you think Brownsville would, for once, have the leg up on that trend? Well, I ended up eating my words. And friends, my words were in the form of this delicious cheesecake. So, we ordered this cheesecake through DoorDash, but we did also swing by the actual cafe in person to check it out. The cafe is pretty bare bones from what I remember, and they sometimes have cakes available to walk in and buy, but for the most part, they prefer you order ahead. And then we saw they did DoorDash. So. Yeah. Naturally, we got one. The cheesecake arrived with fresh strawberries on the side, and a light dusting of powdered sugar. Cutting into it was like cutting into a cloud. The taste? Wow. Heaven. Think the perfect marriage between angel food cake and cheesecake. It's so incredibly light but also retains a moist texture. I know these cakes use a lot of egg, but this cake wasn't eggy in the slightest. Overall, it was a delightful, satisfying slice and I think I vastly, VASTLY prefer it over regular cheesecake now. San Antonio has to get on the ball, cause this little shop nailed the recipe for Japanese cheesecake. A+, y'all. We'll need to order it again the next time I'm in town.
