One of the most concerning moments involved something as simple as water. Everyone at our table had ordered water, and when we asked for a pitcher for the table, we were given a pitcher of hot water. When we brought this and our other concerns to the staff's attention, the situation escalated. Rather than addressing our concerns, we were told that we were the problem and were asked to leave. Staff also threatened to call law enforcement after we raised our concerns. Beyond the service issues, we were also disappointed with the cleanliness of the restaurant and found the overall atmosphere far from welcoming or enjoyable. We came in simply expecting a pleasant family dinner and reasonable service. Unfortunately, our experience was the complete opposite. They also have 2 restaurants in Louisville and 1 in Mason, OH. The owner is Luiz Angeles, that has been a great supporter of Swan Pointe's Block Parties for many years. Our server tonight was Sandra. She was really fantastic! She took care of our group getting orders and drinks. We chatted and ate chips and kept an eye on the World Cup activity on the huge TV screens scattered about. Soon the food was coming and the delicious platters of food were being passed out. Let me tell you that they have HUGE BURRITOS! It was as "Big as my head!" My Especial Burrito was filled with Grilled Chicken, beans and covered with creamy cheese dip. I customized my burrito, no rice, onions or lettuce. I ate about half of it and saved the other half for a small lunch for the two of us. My husband ordered The Deluxe Burritos. It had two burritos, one was Grilled Chicken and the other one was Ground Beef. The sauce over the top of the burritos was beautiful! It was almost more than he could eat! But he did. He loved it! The lady across the table had a Grilled Chicken Chimichanga platter. When her plate came to her, she said, "Oh that's a lot of food!" We all really enjoyed our meals. What we were met with was not restaurant in nature. It was more of a store in transition with seating. As soon as we walked in we noticed the table in the one corner being used as a trash heap. Cardboard boxes broken down and stacked upon one another. So many, you couldn't go in that area. We also thought we entered here during their closed hours as there was no one in here, or so we thought. No customers and it looked like no employees. That was until someone came from behind the counter with a mouth full of food. We did a quick look around and pretended to be interested in the coolers before we left out.
