If you find yourself in Pevely, Missouri, you should first ask yourself why am I in Pevely, Mo! Then you should pivot like you knew what you were doing, and let Las Brisas be the reason. I ordered the colossal-sized Gustavo Special, and when they say colossal, they mean it. I could literally eat on this 4 times. We're talking a summit of sizzling shrimp, veggies, rice, all drenched with a rich cheese sauce. This spot is casual but fast paced. The service is speedy. If you're nearby, skip the chains and try this local spot. Here's your warming, come hungry! read more

Went there with my family for lunch on a Saturday, there was 6 of us. There was plenty of room in the restaurant and on the patio with other people being there as well. There was no issues talking amongst the entire table. The service was good and very speedy and food was how we all ordered it. Will be going back when in the area again! read more

Went there today with a large group of girls. We all really loved our food! Salsa might be a little bland to some, but I loved it! Queso is yummy. Fair prices. Good amount of food. Very good chips! Server was pleasant and efficient. Highly recommend! (Menu is very large- maybe a little too large.) read more

Las Brisas Mexican Restaurant - El Trio with double rice - Mexican Near Me - Pevely, Missouri

we went in during a work trip and stood at the door waiting to be seated but nobody came after a couple mins so we sat ourselves; we then waited for 10 minutes before somebody asked us about drinks and chips. Ordered the same thing for 2 people and they brought out one serving of it. The food was very moist and honest to god horrible. 55 dollars for the worst quality Mexican food I've ever had. read more

As others have said, the service was good and the food was adequate. Soon after being seated some unsalted tortilla chips and salsa were delivered to the table. The seating was adequate, and the decor was what one might expect in a small Mexican Food restaurant. I got the 4 "authentic" taco plate and was immediately underwhelmed that it literally was just some shredded chicken on small soft shells with a few small bowls of sauces. I mean, maybe they really do serve it completely plain in ole Mexico but for about $13.00, I guess I expected a little more pizzazz. I asked for and quickly received some sour cream and some lettuce which when topped with the table's salsa, made the tacos themselves enjoyable. My wife experienced similar with her shrimp taco order. Just soft shells a few pieces of shrimp and a drizzling of mango sauce, which did not taste like mango. With the extra items requested for the table, she said the dish was made pretty tasty. They should really try to dress these dishes up just a little more coming out of the kitchen, at this price point. The children's portions were priced well and were generous in size. To reiterate, the service was good, the food... adequate with the requested toppings. read more

Food comes out fast & hot. One of our favorite Mexican spots! Their queso is the best around.

Ate here last night. Been going here for a couple years maybe once a month. Have noticed a decline in food and drink quality. Ordered fajitas... they were bland, and like warm . Margarita was mostly ice, and not very good. I won't be back. read more

My husband and I love this place! We probably go at least once a month and never had bad experience. They have the typical Mexican cuisine with exceptional quality and service. My husband tends to lean towards the nachos, burritos, and fajitas and enjoys them all. But I always get their carnitas! So delicious!!! And of course, the margaritas always complement any meal you choose. They also recently rebuilt their outside patio roof which was damaged previously from weather, so it has great shade if your party enjoys an al fresco atmosphere. read more

The service was really great as was their top shelf margarita. Exceptional. The food was okay but nothing I would go back for read more

Las Brisas Mexican Restaurant - Las Brisas is the best! - Mexican Near Me - Pevely, Missouri

I was very happy with our visit to Las Brisas. The food was tasty, the staff friendly, courteous and prompt. First I have to preface this with this review is based on it being a St Louis area Mexican restaurant. I've had Mexican all over the US and Mexico. So it would be unfair to compare it to more high end and authentic Mexican restaurants I've been to. The atmosphere wasn't overly extravagant that you find in a lot of local Mexican restaurants. It was very simple and homey. It was a Friday night and it was very busy but we were sat right away, it appeared the clear and rotate tables very well. They chips were good and the salsa was a basic tomato, onion and cilantro salsa. We got the chicken nachos. There was plenty of chicken but it wasn't evenly applied, I had to move it around myself to ensure each chip was covered. The flavor was ok nothing special and the cheese sauce a bit runny. My main was the Chile Verde. The sauce was very tasty I enjoyed the pork but I like mine with a bit more crisp to it. One of us got the Tacos Mexicano, I was told it was delicious. And it. And with a sides plate with a very spice salsa ! And last was the taco and burrito combo dinner ( for a very picky eater) his reply, I really like this. So it passed the test. I was excited for desert but we were all too full so we are definitely coming back for margaritas and desert on another day :)! It was good and will probably be our new local Mexican place. read more

This place is our new favorite for Mexican food! I'll be honest, the building (inside and out) needs some attention, but do not judge a book by it's cover! This place was busy and almost had a "diner" vibe to it (not in looks, but the atmosphere) Silverware was clanging, people were chatting and enjoying themselves, the food was coming out fast and hot. We both had fajitas--- sooo good!! (Don't be a dolt like me and accidentally touch your sizzling dish ) Our server was very nice and attentive! Prices were on par with other Mexican restaurants in the area, $13.99 for chicken and/or steak fajitas. When we were getting ready to leave, there was live music. Don't be wary of this place based solely on appearances. It is a diamond in the rough! read more

Delicious food and great service. Cozy atmosphere. Went here with a friend for lunch and had a chicken fajita quesadilla. Generous portion and reasonable price. It came with beans and rice too. Great flavor and loved the cheese sauce inside. Chips and salsa were good too. I will be back! read more

We have been here many times over the last 3 years since moving to this part of MO. The food tends to be very good, but the chicken tortilla soup was awful. We threw it down the toilet. It tasted like metallic water. The chicken cheese rice appetizer is my go to. My past ratings are good, but this soup is bad. This was a take out order, so we did not complain, but we should've. I think the soup is made per order. Poor flavor. Take it off the menu. read more

Very reasonable prices and food was good, better than a lot of Mexican restaurants in the stl area. Liked the cilantro in the salsa which was not too hot. Would have preferred corn tortillas instead of flour in the enchiladas but oh well still good. read more

This is your standard Mexican restaurant in Missouri. Very friendly staff, nice and clean restaurant. They keep the free chips and salsa coming and the margaritas are decent. Very popular -even at 4 pm it was 75% full. Nothing special but worth a stop if you are looking for a place to eat in Pevely. read more

Have to laugh at the 1 and 2 star reviews, some just like to complain.Food is very good with service to match.

Monday 9-26-22 this restaurant is open for business the food was excellent tasting. It looks like they are open till 10pm

My favorite Mexican restaurant. The food is cheap but very delicious. The service is great too! They offer outdoor seating as well, and you're not forgotten about when you do choose to sit outside. 10/10 highly recommend read more

We've came here countless times since we live in Pevely. Anytime we come to this restaurant and it is busy, we always regret staying. The past two times we have been, the food has been less than great and service just okay. The salsa is not it. Very watery with little to no flavor. I have always ordered the beef taquitos. Last two times I've ordered it the amount of beef for one taquito was split up into the four taquitos that come with the order. Basically fried rolled up tortillas at that point. Incredibly disappointing. My boyfriend orders the chimichangas and has never had an issue with his food. Maybe it just depends on what you get? Anyways, the last visit we had I got sick when we got home (no alcohol or anything). Definitely not food poisoning, but whatever I ate did not like me and as I stated, I always get the same thing. read more

First the good, Las Brisas has great service and a clean comfortable atmosphere. These are the only reason I did not give a single star. Las Brisas is the most caucasian of any "Mexican" food I have had in the state of Missouri. The meat is flavorless and unseasoned. The 'salsa' was little more than tomato and garlic puree. The rice was, well to be honest I hate rice, so I can't really comment on the rice. I suspect the red sauce on my wife's enchilada was from a can and the cheap stuff to boot. Do yourself a favor; take a little drive to El Toluco Taqueria & Grocery, La Tejana, or Taqueria Durango. Be courageous and try something you have never had or even considered. These places make AUTHENTIC Hispanic food that is well worth the drive. You can keep your restaurant atmosphere and give me the taco shop where flavor matters. I mean, Taco Bell at least seasons the meat - seriously. read more

Nice place. Hasn't completely knocked my socks off like I've heard but I'd still go back. Love the outdoor seating even if it's just a view of a Pevely parking lot. Friendly staff. Love a Michelada and they make them here, although a tad too spicy, I'll know next time to order it mild. read more

Good food, good service. I never leave hungry. I would recommend if you like good TexMex

Stopped here for a late lunch as a large local crowd was clearing out. The staff was friendly and competent. Everything we ordered was good (We even got some unplanned takeout.) All ingredients were fresh. The prices are too cheap for the quality, quantity and service. This will be a regular stop for us between city and country house. read more
