Great food for a great price. Their Michelada was delicious, too! Both items 10/10 tasty. Will be back :)

Some of the best seafood I've ever had, especially the camarones a la diabla. Great service at a cheap price too

The name translates to "Acapulco Breezes". Doesn't that sound idyllic like you'd be sitting in a beach cabana in front of crashing waves? Well, it's on Mission just south of Cesar Chavez, so the only thing likely to crash are the cars careening around the corner and disregarding the crosswalk signal. I have got to remember how much they dish out here. It's a lot per order and not because I told them to jumbo-size my order. I must have been in the mood for some kind of Acapulco-style seafood meal because that's what drew me in. Of course, a basket of chips and a portion of spicy salsa arrived at my table soon after I sat down (photo: http://bit.ly/2RluJs7). While mindlessly munching on the fairly substantial corn chips, I thought I'd start with what I presumed was an appetizer, the $6.95 Platanos con Chicarron, but it was a hearty entree with chunks of fried pork mixed with fried plantains on a bed of lettuce and covered with a crunchy slaw with cabbage and onions (photo: http://bit.ly/38bh5P9). That was a good price for all that food even though it was a lot greasier than I was hoping. It made me almost dread the $14.95 Caldo de Camarones, which turned out to be a big bowl of vegetable soup with onion, cilantro, bell pepper, tomato, and quite a few jumbo shrimp, all unpeeled (photo: http://bit.ly/36QGxsO). That made it more of a challenge to eat since the broth was boiling hot. Even with flour tortillas doubling as potholders, I kept burning my fingers trying to pick the shrimp to peel it. I gave up after three because I was in need of hospitalization after a certain point. Besides, I was getting pretty full from the unexpected pork I ended up devouring. Guess I wasn't feeling the breezes of Acapulco as much as I was the Pepto Bismol of CVS. FOOD - 3 stars...lots of it, just not what I really wanted AMBIANCE - 3 stars...spacious enough in here with plenty of customers who seem to know the staff really well SERVICE - 4 stars...no complaints on the staff, very hard-working TOTAL - 3 stars...not sure if it was ocean breezes I was smelling or the bus fumes from the 14 RELATED - Browsing Bernal Heights? I have fallen in love with this place and their oysters. They have a very nice host. She is always so nice and knows my order at this point she even gives me two salsa with my chips now cause she knows how much I like it . Need your vaccination card. Best to get to go but make sure you get extra salsa with your chips

Are you kidding me. This place refused to give me lime for my burrito. Straight up asking me what i wanted it for. What a disappointment. No me dieron limon para mí burrito. Hasta me preguntó el señor porque queria el limón. EDIT: THE BURRITO I GOT WAS ABSOLUTELY PLAN AND DRY. NO SALSA PROVIDED AND STINGY HOST.

Try their shrimp burritos !!!!! Came here during the pandemic I've never had a shrimp burrito and it was the most delicious thing ever. I live in LA and no one I know has had a shrimp burrito. BOMB

Im writing this review because my husband and kids were in San Francisco on a road trip from Los Ángeles. We found this restaurant on YELP and we are exited to say we give it 5 starts! We found meter parking that is free on Sundays, food and the service was amazingly great! There was 3 female employees 2 cooks and 1 cashier/ waitress. We didn't get the waitress name but she was multi tasking and working her ass off! My husband and I had ceviche tostadas de camarón and pescado the kids had the super nachos! Again great food and service! Gracias a las trabajadoras por su servicio y la comida!

Happy with food and drink and guac and a really sweet nook we sat in near the door and windows.

Other spots I'm eating masa. Unlike many places that serve greasy pupusas, these are nicely made and not greasy. We usually order takeout since the dining area is small unless you go early. Parking can be a headache, but I've always managed to snag a spot (knock on wood). The staff are friendly, and we always leave full and happy!

I'd give them about a 3.5 out of 5. On a good day, they come out with that perfect golden-brown finish. On a bad day, they look and taste undercooked to the point where I've had to throw them back on the stove at home just to make them edible. The ambiance doesn't do much to help. It's your typical Mission-style Latin restaurant, kind of sticky and worn-in, but in a way where you can't quite tell if it's part of the aesthetic or just a lack of upkeep. Now, let's get into why this leans closer to a one-star experience. The staff consistently come off like they'd rather be anywhere else. They don't smile and often come across as rude. Timing is basically a suggestion here. If you place a takeout order, plan well ahead, at least 45 to 60 minutes before pickup. Every single time I've called, I've been told 25 to 30 minutes, only to arrive and wait another 15 to 20 minutes. Without fail. And in a neighborhood where parking is already a headache, with limited meters and tight timing, you'll feel that delay. Your patience will absolutely be tested. Don't say I didn't warn you. Update: Today's order included a hit inside the cheese mixture of the Pupusas. Disgusting.

My first visit there I wasn't sold on their pupusas but when their brick and mortar location here opened up I went again to see how it was since I love pupusas and now they are in my regular rotation. The space is big and service is friendly with the free coffee (which I don't actually drink since I'm not a coffee guy). While it's not the fastest, the food is terrific so I am fine waiting for my delicious pupusas! I usually get the pork, bean and cheese pupusas which are really good but mixed it up last time and got the jalapeno and cheese ones but felt like there wasn't quite enough cheese in those so I'll prob just go back to the pork, bean and cheese ones since they seem more balanced.
