I left a message for someone to call me to set up an estimate appointment. Someone called, we chatted about the project, and I think he didn't like that I was sincerely a bit stunned to learn he would pay a plumber $1,200 of my money to switch out a valve and drain he said he would get back to me with a date and time and never did. I'm sure I would've been overcharged for the whole project and it's for the best since I came here to read the reviews. Top dollar prices require top-dollar service. Not addressing a punch list is unprofessional. People pay hard-earned money for renovations and they should be completed to perfect with a smile as agreed to when money was paid. read more

Larson Construction removed a wall from our dining to living room, remodeled our guest and master bathrooms, replaced our baseboard throughout our home as well as tiled three bedrooms and master bath and we have ZERO complaints! Every crew they sent into our home adhered to our designated work hours each day. Every crew member was super respectful of our home and our family. Richard Larson was very helpful and kept in contact with us throughout the entire process. David Fox initially met with us and organized the project as well as the day to day tasks. Joe Larson and his crew did an excellent job on our kitchen and bathroom remodel as well as reflooring the whole house. Our house is almost 30 years old, and the kitchen was dated and poorly designed. The bathrooms, also dated, needed new cabinets and countertops. Our daughter graduated with a degree in Architectural and Interior Design from FSU but currently lives in Dallas. She designed a completely new layout for the kitchen area and sent us plans and 3D modeling to give to Larson. After several meetings with Joe Larson, Ron DeRosa (salesman) and David Fox (project manager) we were able to agree on products and a plan to bring her design to life. I am happy to say they accomplished that task. It was not without hiccups but that's to be expected with any remodel, at all detours they were always quick to provide ideas or listen to our possible solutions and promptly execute them to keep things moving. David was very easy to communicate with helpful in assisting us when decisions had to be made because something didn't go as planned, he also did a great job of keeping things moving with the crews. We have to say all the workers they sent were pleasant and easy to work with and did a good job cleaning up after themselves. The products they recommended and installed were all good quality. They also completed the job in a relatively short period of time. I would definitely use them again. read more

True, any remodel job has it's challenges, a few items on back order which were resolved, but the finished product has met my expectations and beyond. I hired Larson Construction for a pretty substantial home renovation that included a kitchen remodel, new fireplace, new tile flooring, 1/2 bath remodel, and painting. His team did a wonderful job! Everything looks better than I envisioned. There were a few punch list items that his team came out and fixed a few days after our final walk‐through. Kitchen project summer 2017. I've been reluctant to post online review - today was last straw- dishwasher installed incorrectly & almost caused serious injury to husband. I did my due diligence; called previous clients, visited 2 homes he remodeled. Buyer beware. Tile removal process: Plastic barrier not sealed. House filled with billowing tile dust.   Tile laid incorrectly w/ huge lippage - such that one tripped walking through kitchen: Removed & reinstalled by different company, who failed to put stain preventative in grout - looks dirty all the time - professionally cleaned several times. Painting: Texturizing of wall inconsistent, bulging, & peeling - Repaired Electrician forgot to wire under-cabinet lighting - Corrected Wrong granite installed. Multiple different stories given to us by builder & granite fabricator as to why wrong slab installed. - granite Replaced Original granite backsplash side wall wood molding showing - told it had to be that way to hold up granite bar - not true. Fixed Faucet handle hits granite backsplash - Not Repairable, but liveable Appliance garage installed improperly, unable to get it square - Permanently Removed as builder unable to figure out how to install. Cabinet door wrong size, others crooked. He Fixed Microwave vent wrong size -Replaced Microwave vent taped, not sealed. Asked contractor's employee to seal. Replied, "You have pest control, don't you?" I replied, "Yes." Responded, "Then no worries. No little critters will crawl through there." I insisted he cover exposed section. He did but after his departure, it was noted only visible portions were covered. - We Fixed Range installed - unable to push back tight to wall, left a 2-3 inch gap due to location of gas pipe coming out of wall. We had Oil Co. come & move pipe. - We paid for fixed. Seams in cabinets not tight  -We fixed Cabinet skin flawed after installer caulked over areas & chipped paint.  -We fixed Gas Stove - About a month after project completed I noted that soot was appearing on my cookware after using range top. After researching Internet I learned I needed to call gas company. Gas technician discovered Converters were installed incorrectly on stovetop by builder's appliance technician. Each burner has its own specific converter which was supplied by GE. Converters were arbitrarily installed thus cause of soot on cookware. Caused soot on backsplash. Converters were NEVER installed in oven. Took hours to clean. Worst part: exposed to high levels carbon monoxide. We were charged $100 extra for converting gas stove/oven by builder! Cost us over $300 to fix oven issues. I emailed Joe Larson regarding this issue in 2017, he NEVER responded. Molding under bar too short with a wall flaw - Only wall flaw was corrected. Molding remains too short (We had purchased this molding ourselves.). We have reluctantly accepted molding too short. Partially corrected... 4 out of 6 cabinet door handles not level.  -We fixed Molding under bar top & Kickplates under cabinets not caulked  -We fixed During walk thru - Contractor angry re puch-list. He said I was being picky & that he'd lost a lot of money on project & he bet only reason I selected him was he was lowest bid. I told him no he wasn't. Today, 22 months later: Per GE Tech - builder's appliance installer installed dishwasher incorrectly. Insulation left on both sides internally, tangled w/& displaced pulleys. Last week door crashed down onto husb's foot. Also dishwasher was secured into cabinets incorrectly & if washer ever needs to be pulled out for repair or replacement it will probably tear up our cabinets & possibly granite countertop. Under cabinet lighting is now falling down & one section does not work. Kitchen project was the gift that keeps on giving... keeps on giving problems. read more

It's been approximately one year since Larson Construction remodeled our kitchen and master bath, along with replacing all of the flooring in the main part of our 20-year-old home. We were very happy with the tile installation and the Installer team, Fine Line Tile, they did an excellent job in both the bathroom and the main living area. We also like the kitchen and bath vanity cabinets and granite countertops which were installed within our budget. We weren't impressed with one of the cabinet installers however, he was sloppy and didn't finish his work. On five occasions Larson Construction's job superintendent had to come out and fix the shoddy work of the cabinet installer subcontractor. If they send a cabinet installer named Larry, please beware, and watch what he does in your home. Personally, I thought the communication between the project manager in the office and the people who were working outside was poor, and some days no one showed up and some days they were working on top of each other. We lived in a construction zone for approximately three months, and that was not something we anticipated when we hired the contractor. I took it upon myself to email Larson Construction every day to give them update. We would like to have them come out for a couple of punch list items which I have alerted Larson Construction about. I have not heard from Larson regarding the punch list. read more

After I was told by Joe Larson that my request were unreasonable. I actually fired Larson construction on June 19th. This "walkthrough" was done in August after I received other qoutes totalling $9749 to fix the mess Larson construction left in my kitchen. I told Joe they could finish it as long as different people did the work and the quality of the product matched exactly what was in the qoutes I received. I was told no by Joe Larson. I do not have to settle for poor service and subpar work. From the doors that were installed incorrectly that need to be completely taken out to the refacing peeling off of the cabinets. Which by the way had already been fixed once with an iron and peeled again. One of my cabinet doors fell off in my hand because apparently they ran out of screws and used whatever was handy. So yes I did not finish paying for the contract because the contract states UPON COMPLETION. My kitchen is not complete and it is going to cost me more to fix it than you are owed. Beware of Larson Construction. Their work is poor quality. read more
