Recently Kristin Harding of Larsen Digital came to the Golden Years Senior Center and offered to make a DVD of our seniors. As the director I had each of them bring a picture of themselves when they were about 20 and also a current picture. We collected the pictures and Kristin took them to the Larsen Digital company and make them into a DVD. We had about 80 seniors participate. She gave each participating senior a free DVD. The quality of the DVD was exceptional. The seniors were extremely happy with the final product. Kristen was caring and conscientious in all her dealings with our organization, the Golden Years Senior Activity Center in Bountiful, Utah. Because of the excellent quality of the DVD's Larsen Digital produced for our center, several of the seniors including myself contracted with Larsen Digital to take old recordings and put them into a DVD format. My husband passed away in April 2013. Going through a box I found several 8mm film rolls from his youth. I started looking into local places to transfer the rolls onto DVDs so my son's and I could see their daddy as a child. My neighbor brought over a coupon for Larsen Digital so I called them up. For Christmas, I gathered up all my husband's 500+ mission slides from 35 years ago and just walked into Larsen Digital Services. They were welcoming and educated me on what services they could provide. I didn't have an exact count, so they gave me a rough estimate. I felt it was fair. When they called me to come pick up my CDs in only a few days, I was informed of the exact count and it was less than I had been quoted. The CDs have been wonderful! We have downloaded them to our computer and have had a blast going through them. I was also able to take them to get prints made and will be making a scrapbook the children and grandchildren can enjoy as they hear Dad and Grandpa's stories. Their work was truly wonderful! Larsen Digital has provided me with great service--I have numerous tapes, pictures , slides etc, that I have been hoping to get transferred somehow. They have done a great job for me on the various projects I have given them. Since I'm trying to pass these videos, (some of which I had no idea of what was on them) and cassette tapes, etc to my 7 children who live in 6 states, it has been a great blessing to have them do this work for me. I feel like I am finally making progress with with this project. My biggest regret is that I let my husband talk me into getting rid of the reel movies that we had because we were moving and had no way to view them, etc. We could have had some great DVDs had we kept them. I recently had my Mother's childhood photo album converted to CD at Larsen Digital. A funny thing happened after I dropped off the precious photo album. The first person I told about my attempt to preserve these family memories had a horror story about how Larsen had lost their family VHS tapes. It made me nervous that I might not get our family photo album back. Not only did Larsen return our precious photo album, but they got the work done ahead of schedule and at the agreed upon price. I found an old black and white family photo in my basement that had a large crease right down the middle and two of the corners had been ripped off. The crease ran through several family members faces, and I was concerned that there was nothing that could be done. I took my photo to Larsen Digital, and they were able to digitally repair the photo so that it looked like new. The ripped off corners were magically replaced and the crease was gone. I even zoomed in on the photo as close as i could get and I saw no evidence that the photo had been doctored. It looked perfect! In the future, I will be taking all of my photo restoration projects to Larsen Digital. read more

I just had some slides digitized by Larson Digital. I needed to have them done to the highest possible resolution, as they may be included in a book I am presently in the process of writing. I couldn't be more pleased with the results! The images were cleaned up and slightly color corrected, erasing the passage of four and a half decades of time since they were first taken...they look GREAT! The resolution was fabulous, and Kim at Customer Service handled my whole order process flawlessly. We had reel to reel audio tapes that were made in 1966 and 1967 when my husband had returned from his mission in Mexico and when he was serving in Vietnam. Both tapes had my mother-in-law's voice recorded. Since she died in 1996, we wanted to be able to have her posterity be able to hear her voice. Larsen's did the CD's for us and they were exactly as I expected. They were prompt with the completed CD's and the price was exactly as they quoted. They made additional CD's for me after we listened to the first ones so we can share them with other family members. We are very pleased with their services. read more

I am extremely pleased with the transfer of slide images to digital. Some of the slides were very old and warped and I was amazed at the clear image that was captured. In addition, the color correction was perfect. These slides mean so much to my family. My father took all of these photos over a period of several decades and it is so wonderful to see these again. I sent in an old reel to reel audio tape from my childhood and was worried to even put it in the mail, but after talking to them I was relieved by their mailing process. They were very friendly and explained how to print their label and that they would call again after receiving the package. Also I received an email when it was finished and ready to ship. I have used Larsen Digital twice, once a few years ago and then again this year. This time I had them convert my dads old movie film to a DVD. I thought they did a great job. The movie film was a pretty faded so I added color correction and my dad was really happy with the results. I really liked that they uploaded my film online so I could see it before I made the discs and edit out some boring video. Overall I have been very satisfied with them both times I have used them. I have used Larsen Digital a couple of times now with numerous High 8s and VHS for conversion, some as old as 35 years with irreplaceable memories. I was a bit nervous handing them over to someone else's care, but everything went flawlessly. The DVDs and MP4 backup I received have all worked great. Truly wonderful! Price was comparable or less than other services. They were able to take reel to reels that were more than 50 years old and convert them to audio files with nary a blip in them. They do great work and do it for the quoted cost. The finished data and DVD disks, are professionally labeled and packaged, and the quality of the film scanning is first rate. They took great care with my original film too, and sent it back more neatly packaged than I when I sent it out! They are up front with their costs, actually my order was less than originally quoted. I sent all of my baby photos to them and was so happy with my digital copies. The dvd came out great, but more importantly my photos were returned in perfect condition. Its scary to send your one and only copies across the country and await for their return. Excellent work on my transfer of 50-year-old 16mm film to DVD. Couldn't be happier. If you live in Salt Lake you owe it to yourself to use the mail and have your transfer work done by Larsen in Ogden. Don't waste your time with the local SLC outfit. If you use the local SLC company they send it back east so you have very little control over your project and it will take longer! read more

I sent all my hi-8 video tapes containing precious moments of my kids when they were very young from years ago. I was worried they were deteriorating. Larsen Digital did an amazing job, and quickly too. I got back beautiful DVD video and mp4 video for permanent storage which I can now back up in multiple places.
