I booked Next Level to do her interior and exterior, and when I got there to pick her up I was in shock. When I say she looked like she just came out of the showroom, I mean it. Every word. I have pale fabric upholstery that was badly stained and spotted. She is now pristine. She shines like a diamond. And it's clear that the entire staff loves what they do. The cost is reasonable for the effort they put in. When they told me she would be done by five, she absolutely was. They didn't try to upsell me on anything. This place was recommended to me so I had good expectations. They gave me an estimate to fix my…read moreson's car- I don't know if it was a good price as I did not shop around as I was going through cancer treatment. They mentioned they had a military discount- for a $4000 plus bill I think it was maybe $100- so around 2%. The repair seemed ok-hood and driver front damage. Weeks later, I realized they never installed nor returned the sticker to hold the hood up. Again, I was going through chemotherapy so I was not checking and my son never mentioned anything. Today, months later, I was going to add some hood hydraulic struts as the only way to keep the hood open safely is with someone holding it. To install the struts, you have to remove two bolts that hold the hood to the hinge and the secure the strut hardware. Both bolts sheared when I went to remove them with a regular 1/2 drive ratchet- remember I am recovering from chemo and radiation so I probably have the strength of a 14 year old right now. The hood would have been removed and repaired and then reinstalled with the bolting and I assume tightened with an impact to the point where they can never be used again. This is a 12 mm ( about 1/2 inch head) and was way overtorqued to the point that they both sheared from normal hand removal. I now have to extract the two broken bolts before I can continue. The videos for the hydraulic struts demonstrate that they can be installed in minutes. I am going to have to extract two bolts with someone holding the hood- what a sh*tshow. Also, my son's car had some normal scratches that could have been easily buffed out. They did not buff these out. I have never seen that before from an auto body shop. Overall, I would say the repair was below average especially since they kept the hood support. I would not recommend this place.

But there's nothing negative to report! This place has helped me out with everything from minor (and cheap) concerns to body damage and engine issues. They always give me a fair estimate (I've shopped around) and the work is always done surprisingly quickly. The past two times they even threw in some work without charging me (like a tire rotation or free diagnostic for a check engine light). And they were great at dealing with my insurance company and helping things to move smoothly and quickly after an accident. It's got that family business atmosphere, and you always interact with the same people, which helps with the trust-building. Even my uhaul rental experience was overly positive! There's the cutest little chihuaha hanging around, too. I highly recommend Rich's for any mechanic work or uhaul rental. In addition to some of the specifics mentioned in my previous review (see below), there have been several instances where Ankers could have just recommended the more expensive route to fix something, but chose to allow us to make an informed decision by trying alternatives or doing things incrementally so that it could be determined if a smaller fix would suffice. All this without sacrificing the integrity of the car, though. It is such a relief to know you are going to receive competent and honest work on one of the major financial investments you make: your vehicle. I can't recommend them highly enough.
