Dr. Cai was very gentle, calm, patient, and NON judgmental about the state my teeth are in. I have some heightened phobias revolving dental work, so needless to say i was very scared to go in. I embarrassingly hadn't seen a dentist since i was a child, so i have some extensive dental issues. Everyone there made sure i was comfortable and assured me that i was in good hands. Due to my crazy anxiety, i was panicking and crying thru most of my appointment. Dr. Cai really went out of his way to make sure i was okay, and he assured me thru the whole process that i was doing a great job. I cant thank him enough for doing his best to put me at ease. The actual facility is beautiful. Very modern with obvious attention to technological advances. Everything seemed high tech and state of the art. It doesn't have that super 'cold' vibe some medical offices have. Very warm and inviting. I've already told several people about Dr. Cai & his dental practice. Highly recommend. I can't speak for every patient as im sure its case by case, but since i don't have any dental insurance, they worked with me so that i could afford the work i desperately needed. I genuinely felt they cared about my health before making a buck. Dr. Cai personally called me himself 4 days after having 2 teeth extracted to check on me and make sure everything was healing as planned. His staff(especially Lisa i think her name is) was also very warm and helpful. I called the office multiple times before and after my procedure to ask questions and she was a delight every time. Never made me feel like one of "those" annoying patients. I think i have found my forever dentist. I really cant say enough nice things about this place. If you want a dentist that is kind, understanding, gentle, and good at what they do i highly recommend you give sudley manor dental care a try! The dentist, Dr. Kourosh Bazarjani, was rude, squeezed my face while performing a root canal, pulled on my hair and pinched my lips and cheeks with his instruments, and was incredibly condescending and dismissive to me. He outwardly showed frustration while working on my mouth, and even let out several loud sighs to let me know that he was having a tough time. Before the procedure, he asked me to raise my hand if I had pain. When I raised my hand several times, he dismissed me and pressed the drill into my tooth even harder. The office manager "had a talk with him", and he came back even more rude and aggressive. I will be reporting this doctor and the practice to the Virginia Dental Board.

TLDR: Best and most accommodating dentist I've ever been to. FYI they usually don't do cleanings on…read morethe first visit. I left my old dentist due to their lack of care and concern, from the get go scheduling here was immediately extremely easy, I was called twice to confirm details to make my visit go more smoothly. Walking in the front door everything was extremely clean and they were very efficient getting me in. I wish I could remember the front desk staff names but they're all great. I should've caught the dentist assistant's name because she made my first visit a walk in the park and was beyond affirming and sweet(Young woman blue scrubs?) There was an issue getting my X-rays from my old dentist and they were able to accommodate my needs and fully discount brand new X-rays, if I wasn't already sold this was the kindest treatment I've ever received in the medical field, they've won a long term patient. This was mostly thanks to Office Manager Libby who was extremely transparent about pricing and willing to make adjustments without a second thought. In the following week I got cleaning done and 5 fillings across 2 appointments and Dr.Kailey and the dental assistant that helped out were so efficient, I swear two fillings took less than 10 minutes and I felt 0 pain, crazy stuff. Dental hygienist Romen gave me the most in depth and comfortable cleaning I've ever got. I can't sing these peoples praises enough, if you're unsure with your current dentist, if you've got dental anxiety, if you've fallen behind on your care like I had this is your place.
