I did read everything on what to expect, but yes, I felt anxious. I was easily put at ease the moment I was greeted at my car. It went quick and easy in my "car waiting room", much faster than I anticipated! The wonderful receptionist is just perfect! Informative, kind, definitely the kind of person I appreciate as a "first face" when going to a new office and ESPECIALLY when things are like "this". My temperature was taken once I was in the door and really, the entire process went great! I have had quite a lot of dental work and with my family dentist retiring it had ben hard to find a dentist that fits for my family. I am so thankful for the recommendation and we will all be moving over to Dr. Dixon and staff! 3 of us are already in the door! Yay! I feel confident and have the utmost trust/faith that my entire family will be happy with this wonderful new to us, dentists office! I was treated with dignity, respect, full competency, I was offered in depth explanations of dental language I don't fully understand, I saw both xrays and photographs of my teeth so I could really see what was going on. Options were explained and I felt included, like it was a team effort rather than being dictated to...I say this as I have had bad experiences with dentists in the past and this was the polar opposite! Oh gosh, the super lovely assistant that I will name later, I wish I could remember her name right now, I was SO nervous! But she was beyond gentle and kind, usually xrays can hurt, make me gag and she might be magical, as that wasn't even uncomfortable?! Wow! I officially can say I am not afraid of xrays at this office!! Hooray! And yes, the view of the Laguna while this was being done was just divine. I feel less anxiety and more excitement about getting any dental work done during this pandemic! I am shocked and happy!! Thank you for such a wonderful first experience! I will be going back in less than 2 weeks for my dental plan and I look forward to it! 10 years ago I had the most uncomfortable dental exam and cleaning of my life at zen in which they…read morehad to completely redo my X-rays and then the cleaning itself was very painful and the hygienist was condescending. I had no cavities or any real problems but she still managed to project horror at the state of my perfectly fine teeth. At check out the office assistant told me I needed to book a 4 appointment round of scaling and root planing--which was not discussed during my visit other than the doctor saying "you could develop gum disease" not that there were any signs of it at the time. I booked the appointments but it didn't feel right. Why do invasive procedures on healthy gums? I canceled the appointments and didn't go back. 10 years later I'm extremely happy because I have no gum disease and haven't had as much as a cavity since that appointment. Sometimes invasive dental work can cause much more harm than good if not needed. And why be so condescending about a perfectly healthy mouth? None of it makes sense. I would advise everyone to steer clear of this practice unless they have made major changes.

I never disclosed that to Dr. Kahle but what was said by her during the initial exam at the time I left and what I have had done over the past many years. It is like going to an Auto Mechanic. This office sent me online questionnaires which I had to complete twice as they said they didn't receive it. 1 hour total time to do it 2 times. I showed up at her office for appt. and Patricia Webb came into my room and stood next to my chair and said nothing. I looked at her and said, "are you Patricia Webb?" She said yes. I introduced myself. She never asked me anything. Handed me my health records and said she could not take me on as a patient. Told me to go to another dentist but they were not taking on new patients. I asked her staff to contact this other office to get me in as a referral from her of which she never did. She offered me no other referrals. The other office did recommend someone in Mill Valley but a biological dentist who I won't see as they are very expensive and I don't believe in their philosophy. This dentist must have looked at my records right before she walked into my room and made me feel very upset as she did not look into my mouth, ask how my tooth pain was, no concern for my mouth pain. She turned me away after I drove all the way to her Sebastopol office after waiting 2-1/2 weeks to see her. I had taken antibiotics of which I had on hand but she did not care enough to offer any help to my painful teeth problems. Just sent me away. A very unprofessional dentist and I would not recommend this office or her to anyone. I have never been treated like this by any professional ever.
