I called Current and the secretary told me I might be lucky because some people canceled. I had a guy out in an hour! I got the problem fixed for $483.00. Admittedly they were unsure if they broke it, but either way it was nice that they took care of it without needing me to go get and pay for the replacement. Unfortunately, without any notification to existing customers, the company was sold to ABC Heating. I had a maintenance appointment scheduled months ago for today between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. No one called or texted to let me know the technician was running late. After repeatedly asking to speak with a real person, I finally reached someone, but she couldn't provide any information because dispatch wasn't responding to her either. As I write this, I'm still waiting for my technician to arrive. The excellent customer service was the main reason I chose this company and purchased a service contract. This experience has been extremely disappointing. At a minimum, current contract customers should have been notified that the company had been sold and reassured that service would continue without disruption. My guess is that he needed some additional access into the ceiling, but there's no way it needed to be a six inch hole. I was also charged $175 for traveling (the office is two blocks away and their storage is less than half a mile away). This charge was not communicated to me on the front end. I was also charged quite a bit for taking the track lighting down. This charge makes sense, but it should have been told to me on the front end.
