I was very impressed with his professionalism and assistance, as well as with the time he took to discuss my custom situation. He was happy to help with my task--I didn't actually want to hire a live videographer, I just wanted to pay someone to show me exactly how to create a terrific setup in my home office with tripods and mics and a lighting kit. Not only was Keith game to help, but he gave me loads of free advice on the phone and he was willing to charge a very reasonable rate to come on site and show me how to do everything myself, so I could set things up for a great shot each time I recorded. Plus, he gave me equipment tips and was willing to vet my purchases before I spent loads of money on the wrong A/V equipment. After all that, one of my clients offered to barter her videography for my online dating coaching, so I didn't end up needing to hire Keith. Honestly, I was kind of bummed! He seemed so cool to work with, and he was just so prompt and on top of things, too. During our initial consult, the owner Jared was very convincing. I showed examples of other custom sites I liked, and Jared promised he would provide something similar. However, the website I received was a simple Wordpress template with no customizations. It can be purchased for online for only $45. In addition, the custom logo he promised was simply text with a stock photo in the background. When asked about it, Jared claimed that a customized site, similar to the examples I showed him, would cost thousands more than I paid. Upon completion of my website, Jared called at 11:00pm at night to say he had finished (very unprofessional!). He also claimed he was too busy to help me, and sent many rude messages when I asked him for simple changes on my website. At one point he sent a text saying I needed to "ask more nicely" if I wanted any changes to be done. Needless to say, I was appalled. A big reason I chose Mirsky Media was their positive Yelp reviews. However, I would not recommend Mirsky Media's web design services to any business owner. I am very disappointed with my website and the poor customer service I received. UPDATE: Despite the response below, I NEVER received a refund from Mirsky media. After he saw my yelp review, Jared has been sending threatening texts. In his last message, he threatened to retaliate by posting negative reviews for my own business. Molly Bullard is super nice, but super expensive. I went to see her about scanning two of my…read moregrandmother's photo albums from the 1900's. To scan just one book of 285 pictures it would have cost $994!!! Each picture (even though you scanned each page) was $3.75/each. Here is her project description from the invoice estimate she did for me: Project Description: - Prepare book for scanning by removing gently removing string - Scan each individual page at 300dpi - Maintain order of book by using filename convention: BOOK NAME_ALBUM_pg 1, 2... - For pages, enhance black background and sharpen images - Crop each individual photo from book, color enhance and sharpen - Maintain order of book by using filename convention: BOOK NAME_INDIV_pic 1, 2... - Provide client with digital files on cd flash drive - Return original materials and any loose materials in acid-free sleeves - Cost: 285 (+/- 10) total pictures @ $3.75/ea - $994 Since I thought this was outrageous, I called another company and its ovner agreed that it was way overpriced. He said he would charge me $300 to do the same for both my albums, not just one. Ultimately, I decided to scan the pictures myself at 600 dpi, bought Photoshop Elements for $70, and cropped everything myself. $70 is a lot more reasonable than $1000. It took me 8 hours to scan BOTH albums. The cropping takes the longest. I am almost done with all the photos and have spent ~15 hours cropping and editing. After I told Molly her work was out of my price range, she was really nice about it. She told me that if I had any questions doing it on my own, I could give her a call. She also hand delivered the album she evaluated to me at work. Once again, she is a really nice. If price wasn't an issue, I think she would be a good person to work with.

I looked all over the internet at the different companies where you send a box of photos in. I instead wanted to find someone local so I wouldn't have to worry about my pictures getting lost in the mail. Molly did an amazing job with all the pictures I gave her and her prices were extremely reasonable. As a reference I got a couple of quotes from photo shops around Seattle and they literally charged an arm and a leg and were on average 4-5 times more expensive than what Molly quoted me at. I initially gave her a small batch because I wanted to see how good the scans turned out and once I saw how great they were I had her do about 200 more for me. Her turn around time on everything was really great as well. Will definitely recommend her to anyone and will use her in the future again.
