Fresh, well-made, no complaints. Service was attentive and friendly. Left happy. Sunday I brought my daughter before heading to a show. We ordered the spicy salmon roll, shrimp tempura roll, and a sushi and sashimi combo plate to share. Everything was fresh and delicious -- the fish was clean and the rolls were well-constructed. The combo plate was generous and beautifully presented. Service on Sunday was a little rough -- they had just opened and were clearly still getting into gear -- but honestly, the food made up for it and I wasn't in a rush to hold it against them. Wild Rice is a solid, unpretentious neighborhood sushi spot with great prices and fresh fish. For Fairfield, it punches above its weight. We'll definitely be back -- probably sooner than expected, given my track record.

A fairly standard menu offering with the exception of some interesting special rolls. I ordered a Sashimi 4 Me, Botan Ebi Nigiri & Jasmine Hot Tea. The Sashimi dinner came with a choice of soup or salad. The Sashimi was all very fresh, vibrant in color and properly presented along with the delicious Ebi. The customer service on the other hand was fairly un attentive and seemed to be a bit behind on handling the take out customers coming in, but still a timely sit down lunch from my experience. Overall a 6.9/10 offering fresh ingredients, properly prepared and presented.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!…read more My friend and I came here for happy hour and were really disappointed by the service. From the start, our first round of drinks was delivered to the table next to us, and those guests actually drank from them before the waitress realized the mistake. Despite being told the drinks had already been sipped, she still tried to give them to us, and we had to firmly refuse before new drinks were made. Things didn't improve after that. My second drink, a glass of Sauvignon Blanc, arrived in a wine glass that clearly had someone else's lipstick on it, so I had to send that back as well. We also ordered edamame for the table, which was completely forgotten--we had to re-order it 45 minutes later before it finally arrived. My tofu and sushi were also underwhelming to say the least. What made the experience worse was the lack of apology or urgency from the staff, especially since the restaurant wasn't even busy. Overall, the poor customer service and repeated hygiene and attentiveness issues made this a very frustrating happy hour experience.

The shop looks small from the outside, but once you step in, it's surprisingly spacious. Clean, well-lit, and nicely laid out. Comfortable for dining in. We were seated immediately. Our hostess, Amber, was very patient and helpful since it was our first time. We decided to order a little bit of everything, and that was the right move. We went with the five-piece drumsticks, split half soy garlic and half Korean BBQ. The chicken is double-fried, which gives it an incredible crunch on the outside while staying juicy inside. The soy garlic was savory with a touch of sweetness and very well balanced. The Korean BBQ had more heat and bold flavor, coated in a sticky, sweet-spicy glaze that keeps you going back for more. The meal came with coleslaw, which honestly surprised me. I'm not usually a coleslaw person, but this one worked. Lightly sweet, creamy, and refreshing. It paired well with the chicken and helped cut through the richness. We also ordered the seasoned fries, and they were excellent. Crispy, well-seasoned, and topped with garlic, parmesan, and parsley that actually added flavor instead of just looking good. Easily one of the better fry sides I've had with fried chicken. Everything came out hot, fresh, and clearly made with care. If you've never had Korean fried chicken before, Bonchon is a great place to start. I'll definitely be back.

Really flavorful and satisfying. I also got a bottle of guava soju and it paired well. For dessert, we tried the Korean donuts and I loved them. They came warm, soft, and coated in cinnamon sugar with a sweet cream dipping sauce. Honestly some of the best donuts I've had, they were fresh, warm, and delicious. I'd come back just for those alone. I heard their fried chicken is good, so I'll definitely be back to try it. But those donuts? 10/10. Would absolutely recommend.

They do a little bit of everything but manage to do it all excellently. Friendly staff and a nice amount of seating for small and big gatherings. Their General Tso's tofu was very well done. Great sauce and quality tofu. There aren't many vegetables, but the generous portion of tofu more than makes up for it. The curry veggie wontons are a must try for Indian food lovers; crispy with expertly spiced curry veggies inside, along with dipping sauce that is a perfect complement. The steamed veggie dumplings are not the generic ones most places give you, they are made in house and very tasty, especially with the fantastic dipping sauce that comes with it. The place never seems that crowded, but they've been there forever because their food is always satisfying. If you're into Asian cuisine, you need to give this place a try.

I dine out often and had not previously felt such a sharp sting in pricing. I had a quart of wonton soup ($5.95) packed in a typical plastic container. I also had a quart of pork fried rice which came in a smaller sized 'to go' container, typical of 'to go' boxes at this restaurant. The rice was $11.95 and when I questioned it, I was told costs have gone up which is not the answer I was expecting! This is just to advise patrons in advance in the event their budget is as tight as that of many in Fairfield County.

I clearly asked beforehand if I could get a side prepared directly from the kitchen in a separate bowl of noodles so it wouldn't be mixed in on the hibachi stove and turn into leftovers. They said yes -- but what I received was basically a tiny sliver of food. It honestly looked like scraps or leftovers. It was such a small portion that it didn't even make sense for what we paid. What made it worse was that the people sitting across from us received noticeably larger portions -- way bigger plates with much more food -- while ours were tiny. It felt completely unfair. The service also wasn't great. When I called ahead, I was told I couldn't make a reservation. But when we arrived, they asked if we had one. Then they said they only start taking reservations later in the day, which was never explained on the phone. The communication was confusing and inconsistent. Overall, between the unfair portions, messed-up orders, and poor service, this place really let us down. For the price you pay at hibachi restaurants, you expect quality and fairness -- and unfortunately, that wasn't the case here.
