Just fyi. They are emailing paperwork beforehand to complete so that is nice. Be sure to put an email on file. They also do a text and phone reminder of appointments. You go in and check in. They are generally pretty prompt in getting you back. They are currently still taking a temp before taking you back. Dr Junker went through my medical history beforehand since i had not seen her. She seemed intuitive and asked a lot of good questions. She was very thorough. I appreciated the level of care. She also ran some bloodwork that hadn't been done before but she thought was good to check since i am vegan and have some autoimmune issues. I appreciated the thoroughness.

When I arrived for my visit the front desk collected my $125. Now *five* months later I get a bill for an additional $105!!! When I called to complain I was told that the $125 was only a "down payment"! And that their people were supposed to have informed me of this (they didn't). I was further told that they "can't do anything about it"... but they are sorry their staff didn't tell me that the $125 was only a down payment. They are outright lying. This is all a scheme to squeeze additional cash out of patients who have already paid. Whoever heard of a business that quotes a price for a service that is only a down payment? These people are sleazier than an unlicensed out-of-town roofing contractor after a hail storm. Stay away!!!!

Stay off the injured foot and use crutches and expect a 4 to 6 week recovery. I explained to him that I am on meds that effect my equilibrium, cause dizziness, and that I've fallen several times. I requested a Roll Along scooter and told him that I'm receiving Medicaid benefits and they require specific details as to why I need a scooter as opposed to crutches. I should known something was up when I also requested a stool to sit on while I showered. His reply was "No just find something around the house you can use like a milk crate ". He wrote a Rx for the scooter and I took it to the Medical Supply store. Well it turns out that he wasn't specific enough to meet the requirements of Medicaid. The store actually sent an employee to his office to ask for a more detailed note. HE REFUSED STATING I CAN STAY ON CRUTCHES. Even after writing a Rx for the scooter. I may be on public assistance but he is still getting paid! FIND ANOTHER PODIATRIST. One who cares.

Water was gushing down my throat so I was having to swallow often from choking. It felt like I was going to drown like what you hear of the interrogation technique called Washboarding. I should have said something, but instead I focused on dealing with it. Afterwards, Dr. Cox stated he was glad this wasn't a major procedure because of my swallowing. I ignored his comment, but then he repeated the comment several times as though one time was not enough - trying to shame me. I had the same and other procedures performed by other dentists with absolutely no problems. Then again, their dental assistants knew how to insert water and suction the water out so the patient isn't having to be forced to swallow. I was extremely patient and calm with Dr. Cox and his assistant and caused no problems (never jerked, had to get up...); however, Dr. Cox had to make my swallowing an issue and blame me. Never once did he ask me if anything was wrong he automatically assumed it was me. Dr. Cox needs to learn professionalism and patient care as well as hiring staff who are competent.
