This is not unique to this studio and absolutely should not be tolerated by parents as it shows that everything is tailored to the sole needs of the studio. This review is based on our experience in Ms. Alexis' Primary A/B ballet class…read more Firstly, I want to give Ms. Alexis a 5 star rating on how well she works with young girls. She was able to magically sweep my 5-year-old daughter away into a fairytale land where she imagined all of her favorite things and learned proper ballet techniques, strengthened and stretched her body, and had fun dancing with her friends. She loved it so much, we wished it was more than once a week and didn't stop for summer break. Something I would like to see more of is the teaching of short dance routines after all of the typical exercises they do. One thing that many of the parents were dissatisfied with was how often there was a substitute teacher, and the general lack of communication there was regarding class schedules and offerings from the office. I hope this review will help you in deciding which program to put your child in, and will provide the school some insite into our experience. We're looking forward to returning for the upcoming fall session!

Suzan Spann and India Dupre have mastered the art of making children's theater engaging and fun!…read moreOur daughter has loved to sing and dance from a young age, so the classes at LCJT seemed like a simple and easy choice. (No Brainer! Disney song class for a little girl? Sure!!) Little did we know how much India and Suzan would help our daughter with her listening skills, diction, projecting her voice, and memorizing dance steps and lyrics. Our daughter LOVED the classes and truly showed a new level of independence and self confidence. The final performance was such a joy to watch and the kids were all so proud of what they had accomplished! You can tell that Suzan and India love what they do, and they get the kids excited about each song, every dance step, and make it truly fun for each child - at their own learning level. The kids worked as a team, and that was such a great thing to see, with kids of all ages in the class together. Our daughter listens to the class CD daily (sometimes hourly), and has shown a new ability to catch words and phrases in music that she enjoys. The Progress Report we were given at the end was not only a fun surprise, but showed how seriously India took this class and highlighted developments in our daughter, that we loved having pointed out to us. Couldn't recommend them higher to anyone who has a child that loves to sing, dance, or watch musicals!

My wife and I have been season ticket holders for a couple years now and we absolutely LOVE this…read moretheater. It's got a lot of historic charm and a very intimate audience-to-stage feeling. Very good acoustics. The staff are always very friendly and helpful. The first show of a new run is always on a "Wine Wednesday" where your ticket gets you a free glass of wine before the show. The theater is in the middle of an area with easy access to bars, restaurants, and parking.

If you have poor eyesight, I definitely would not recommend those upstairs seats because it can be pretty difficult to see everything happening on stage. The staff and people are always nice, but one thing I would definitely consider is the steep slope when walking down from the upper levels. It feels very steep and could be easy for someone to slip or fall, especially when navigating the stairs and walkway. There's also always this smell up at the top. there's no good circulation in the whole area which if you have respiratory problems, I would not recommend this place. It's usually stuffy and has an odd smell. I Wish they had air purifiers throughout the whole location.

Wicked Lit! Went…read morelast year for the first time and then twice this year to see both Production A (The Unnameable, the Chimes, and Cask of Amontillado) and Production B **new** (Casting the Runes, A Ghost Story, and The Body Snatcher). I brought a bunch of people with me to see Production A this year. It was amazing as always... Note to newcomers - if you are meeting people at the event, make sure that all members of your group receive the same color sticker on their program. You want to stay together in the same group. Also note that they have coffee, hot apple juice (which they insist on calling cider), and a few candy bars. $2 each or 2 items for $3. Bring cash, a jacket as you will be outside for a time, and comfortable shoes for walking and standing for short periods. The plays are immersive as you walk following the characters and story progression through the creepy and eeriliy lit long hallways of the mausoleum... and through the cemetery across the street. Most of the acting is great. Last night was unusual because they had BOTH productions going on at the same time. I was concerned that we would be running into each other in the corridors and we would lose the integrity of the individual plays with competing noise in the background. They actually handled it really well and there was only about 5 minutes when I was distracted by noise from another play. Production B was very good for the most part. I will not forget the images from Casting the Runes and The Body Snatcher. The Ghost Story however, started out GREAT but then the second half was kind of ridiculous. What annoyed me most was the fact that because it wasn't as long as the other plays and they all had to end at the same time, the guide read us "The Raven" as we walked back. Now, I take my Poe seriously and want it done right or not at all. This guy read it from the folder, lost his place a few times, used a voice that I assume was supposed to be funny (and wasn't). It just wasn't done well. If they HAD to fill up that time, (and I hope they read this review) they should have the poem read at the original site and read seriously by someone who can do it properly... by candlelight... with some thunder, rain, and lightning in the background. I was not only disappointed, but mad that it had been done so poorly. I could have read it better (and not from a folder). All in all, it's still a Halloween favorite and the location is fantastic and used well.
