Lansang Jiu-Jitsu is the only place to train! You will not find another coach who is highly passionate about the art of Jiu-Jitsu and about your training like Coach Paul. He provides a team environment that it is family oriented that supports one another by pushing each other to be better on and off the mats. Bring out your inner Warrior! It's go time! OSS!!

If you are looking to start or already experienced this is the school to be at hands down! Professor Paul is very knowledgeable and is a great mentor and teacher to my whole family. I love watching him teach the kids class. He is very patient with all of them and you can clearly see that they all love it and are learning day by day. Give it a try and your will be happy you did! Good vibes and family oriented school which makes everything that much more better!

Most people do not go back to jiu jitsu at 43 years old, but it was something that I knew I could do if I could find the right instructor and school. Most of my teammates are dads like me and all of my teammates are smart training partners, most of whom serve in the community as local small business owners, law enforcement, education, fire and rescue, as well as nursing and physical therapy. Professor Marcelo's jiu jitsu IQ and experience is world class and with the way he teaches his students it is clear that he wants us all to improve. You should definitely come check out one of the classes! Respectfully, Mr. Moore

The taunts on my FB posts after I demand not to contact me…read more.. Is this what this guy, Marcelo, wants to do, revenge for an honest review? 7 day trial..1 day to be on mat with class/group. The rest of the 6 days are NOT with the class/group and u can watch the class.. seems individual session and other lecture type of crap is going to be the remainder of the free trial. Whi know, he might change this up after my exposure. I suggest if ur going to try the 7 days, ask whether u will get 7 days full with the group/class. 17 years of being here means nothing. 1 day (actually about 1 hour) will not allow u to know whether u want to join or not...so the 2nd day to bring up payment and a 'promotion' that happens every year is ridiculous. The 1 star is because of the actions taken by the professor after the review, which he was pissed (don't care as a review is a review w/out slander), and taunting me on Facebook after demanding to not contact me anymore is harrassment. I don't feel safe knowing he has my home address..but whatever, I'll be ready with my home cameras.

From the very first class, the instructors made her feel comfortable, supported, and excited to learn. They strike a perfect balance between discipline and encouragement, firm when they need to be, but always positive and patient. What really stands out is how intentional they are about teaching both skill and character. My daughter is already showing more confidence, focus, and respect at home, and she looks forward to every class (which says a lot!). The lessons are well-structured, engaging, and age-appropriate, and the instructors truly take the time to help each student improve at their own pace. The academy itself is clean, organized, and clearly run with a lot of pride. Parents get a great view of the classes, and it's easy to see how much care and attention goes into each session.

When I read that the camp also offered crafts, self-defense, and playtime, I thought it would be a great introduction for him. After the camp, he said he wants to go again next year, and this is the only class he wants to continue! Now he's officially enrolled twice a week. To be honest, I wasn't really considering karate and was leaning more toward other martial arts. But I really liked how they teach self-defense, run the class in a disciplined and organized way, and emphasize respect. The teachers are firm yet warm with the kids. I also love how they mix in play, it helps the kids feel connected, and united. That was exactly what my son needed. :)

The atmosphere is great in this gym and everyone is treated like family. I saw results after training here, I was able to win 2 first places and starting submitting my opponents at tournaments! That was a feat I struggled with in my past years. In my previous tournament, I was able to finish all my opponents under 2 minutes. I thank the Professor Ouano and Perry for teaching me. They not just teach BJJ, but self defense(rare nowadays, since people focus on competition more now) and building yourself to be a good examples for others off the mat. Highly recommend anyone to check this place out, you won't regret it. There are also others, who live farther than me; who take long drive just to train here.

Without thinking about it he said, "You have to train at Tsunami BJJ". I am so thankful for that suggestion. Professor John Ouano and Perry Hauck are amazing Bjj instructors. They welcomed a stranger from across the US like I was family. Their attention to detail was phenomenal. John even pointed things out that I was doing wrong with my shoulder rolls. Everyone that I met that trained there was very welcoming. There was no ego, just a willingness to train and help a white belt get better. If you are the type of person who can't learn something by seeing it once, you will not have an issue here. They drill, then they drill, then they drill some more. Thanks Professor John and Professor Perry!!!!

I've been training martial arts over 25 years and the only problems I've ever had have been with the IMB Academy. The head instructor Steven is a nice guy, but he simply has no business being the leader of such a school after the great Richard Bustillo passed. He's apathetic/oblivious and poor at communication and follow up. The final straw for me was when me and my training partner had a scheduled call to discuss our training and Steven completely flaked and never called. I then emailed him to tell him I'm done, and of course he didn't care or inquire as to why I'm done, especially after I had been so dedicated to the IMB. Look elsewhere if you are a serious martial artist and avoid IMB at all costs!
