Easy checkin- fresh eggs in the pretty well stocked "tiny store". They were super friendly and accommodating. The park is mature with beautiful trees, but not a problem for our starlink or "Elon" as we call it. Very close to Bozeman downtown. Saw people walking but Ubers were no problem at all. Yes it is close to the highway and a train, but it really wasn't bothersome. The train comes maybe once a day and not too early. Will stay here every time we are in Bozeman. Also try the Rocking R for football and Wednesday night "bingo" with drink specials. Super fun!! Copper was delicious for dinner and great ambiance.

The campground was very clean and well maintained. The garbages were emptied constantly and the showers were wonderful! It was quiet and exactly what I needed for the 5 nights we were there. There is highway noise and trains but I found that I got used to it after the first night and didn't even notice it after that. The couple that run the campground are very friendly and you can tell that they love it! They put such love into the site from watering the flowers to grooming the sites. The only thing that I would have improved on would have been the wifi. It was spotty at best and mostly non-existent. Overall I would love to stay here again and if I ever find myself in Bozeman again I will be staying here!

There are several indoor pools and several outdoor pools. There's also a stage area outside that wasn't in use when we visited. There's lots of tables and seating outdoors, though everyone was in the pools, and not sitting at the tables. It was pretty busy when we visited, but the pools are so big, there was plenty of room for everyone. After our lovely soak, we made use of the locker rooms to change, and the handy dandy swimsuit dryers. And as we left, we enjoyed a beautiful sunset on our way out. I was absolutely blown away with this magnificent experience! We hiked about a mile up to the cavern entrance. It was a steady incline and almost all in the sun, so come prepared for that. Sunscreen and a water bottle would be wise. By the time you get to the top, you're pretty toasty warm-and then you can cool off in the cold, dark cave. The cave/cavern (what's the difference?) is truly remarkable. Nature can be awe inspiring and what you see inside this mountain is a perfect example of nature's masterpiece. Be respectful and don't touch anything you're not supposed to touch. This isn't a horribly physical excursion, although there's a good amount of stairs, narrow spaces and even one area where you slide down on your bum. People who have any mobility limitations might struggle with this one-although I did overhear that there's an alternate tour for folks who might need accommodations, so ask about that. This was likely my favorite part of the road trip-even more memorable than Yellowstone! (Sssshhhh, don't get me in trouble for saying that.)

I had a wonderful experience and look forward to returning in the future. Thank you to Josh and the other wonderful staff that I met. The campground was clean with clearly marked trash areas, and signs posted to alert campers of bears and wildlife in the area. There were many signs posted leading to the KOA and welcoming guests once arriving at the KOA. I appreciate the map (even though I still got lost) and the information regarding the dirt road leading to the KOA. The cabin was just as pictured! There was a porch swing, a BBQ grill, in ground pit, and private parking. The wood cabin felt like something out of a dream. It was so lovely and rustic. I was surprised to see a lamp. I fully expected no electric but I was pleasantly surprised. The bathrooms weren't far from the cabin. They were clean with a shower, toilet and sink with a lockable door for privacy. Bring shower shoes! I arrived late and called in advance to find out the process for a late check-in, which Josh explained to me. As a first timer with KOA, the only thing that could be improved is letting customers know what to do if there's a late check-in. If I would have forgotten to call in advance, I would not have known how to check in and the campground was pitch black at night. Otherwise I had a wonderful stay. ALSO: Very close to the Yellowstone River. I saw some people on kayaks, rafts and fishing. So much fun!!!

And the smoke detector was not functioning. For as much as these cabins cost, one would think the basics would be covered. While checking in to the Rambling Moose RV Park, I could immediately tell that this was a very nice RV park... As a matter of fact, it was a nicest park I stayed in between Oregon and Virginia city! Everything appeared brand new and Kim, the owner, pointed out all of the many amenities that they offered.... including her quilted art artwork! Beautiful! I must've looked pretty sick because Kim, out of the kindness of her soul, refused to allow me to sleep on the ground in the cold that evening. She gave me a camping cabin at no additional cost! Next the next morning, I still felt very ill and was unable to ride my bike. I asked her if she could help me find someone who could take me and my gear from Virginia City to West Yellowstone, which was my destination for that day. Kim, and her husband Greg, without blinking an eye, offered to help me! Since it is just 2 of us, we thought it best to leave 2 beds available for a family that might need it. We emailed them to switch us to the single queen bed. They were very quick in their response. No issues or problems, we were switched. As we pulled in, my first impression was how immaculate and pristine the property looked. The lines between the gravel and grass were clean and straight. The grass was well manicured and green. The gravel was thick and pretty. There was nothing but beauty to see. These people care about their property. There are shaded tent-spots steps away from a covered picnic table and a real bathroom (a bathroom with lights, soap, hot water, a flushing toilet and an outlet to charge your phone). Next to the office are free hot showers, real bathrooms, coin-laundry facilities and a sink to wash dishes. Everything was spotless during our 48 hour stay. We stayed in a cabin. There was a small covered porch with 2 plastic resin chairs and a small plastic resin side-table. Next to the cabin is a picnic table and a grill for briquettes when there is no fire ban. Inside, there is a very comfortable, memory foam queen bed that is wrapped in a protective cover. The bed frame is made of logs and is beautiful. Bring your own linens and pillows. We travel with sleeping bags and pillows. There was a lamp, heater, fan, 2 screened windows, a side table, a small square dining table and 2 chairs. The floor is a washable surface (vinyl fake wood?). Because every surface was washable, it was very clean upon our arrival. All cabins have electricity. Check-in was a breeze. The owner was a delight. We talked for several minutes. My most important message to convey to anyone deciding to stay here is this: Safety, trust and piece of mind. They have a strict rule regarding dogs off leash. During our 48 hour stay, we witnessed one dog off leash for a minute. This was quickly addressed and not seen again. I appreciated this very, very much. When you enter the campground, it is clearly posted that only registered guests can continue or you must check-in the office. As we arrived, the owner immediately stepped outside and was greeting us. To me, this means they are very aware of who is in camp. Half the time, we did not lock our cabin. Additionally, they have ice for sale for $2.75. They could gouge the consumer and charge much more. Instead, I feel, they are decent people. Thank you for a wonderful 2 days at your property.
