The rating is generous. As far as I'm concerned this playground is two and a half stars, but I've rounded it up :-)
Langman Reserve is a pretty place and a large place. The playground is split up with small pieces of equipment on either side of the oval. There are swings and an old metal see-saw on one side and the play structure, more swings and another bouncy see-saw on the other side, near the tennis courts. The playground is designed for older children and toddlers won't find anything here that they can play on for a long time. It is nestled under some trees, so at least there is some dappled shade but I was really disappointed with the lack of equipment here.
Large areas such as ovals and sports grounds can either be hit or miss when it comes to the playgrounds on their grounds. This reserve unfortunately, is a miss for me.
There is a seating area with some BBQs but again, only tree shade. There is a tap but I couldn't see a drinking fountain. Toilets aren't far from the tennis courts. The tennis courts also have netball and basketball hoops.
