This place is always super busy. They sell fresh produce, meat, can food, deli, baked good and etc. Prices are very reasonably priced. Everything in the store looks fresh. I came here for potatoes and they have a lot of good variety of potatoes. Service is not bad. They restock very frequently.

Love this local market.. Fresh veggie, fruit, meats, deli, a lot of selections, and great prices. Also Asian ingredients.

San Francisco to Vancouver, BC series:…read more What if I told you the first original T&T Supermarket to ever be established is still in operation and it's located in a Shopping Mall in British Columbia in the Vancouver Metro Area and was founded by Cindy Lee. T&T Supermarket is causing hysteria in America. When the first California location of T&T Supermarket opened in San Jose 60,000 people showed up on the first weekend. San Francisco T&T Supermarket is expected to open next week on November 5, 2026. The original T&T Supermarket has everything from seafood to hot food and groceries. It's located inside the Metrotown Mall in Burnaby, British Columbia and it's the first T&T Supermarket. On a British Columbia Canadian stroll inside Metrotown I landed at the original T&T Supermarket. This Supermarket was packed with people shopping. Inside you will find a fish market to a Panaderya with Filipino and Vietnamese bake goods. You will also from dim sum and sushi sold inside. It has lots aisles of international foods from all over the world. T&T Supermarket is the global market in a store. San Francisco is in for a treat when T&T Supermarket opens on November 5, 2026. T&T Supermarket has food that is so bomb it's like "dynamite" it will also "ignite" for people to still go to Burnaby British Columbia Canada to visit their first original T&T Supermarket"site"and a good place to shop groceries or just get a "bite" It's located inside Metrotown in "Burnaby" in British Columbia some just call it "B.C" you will see a sign on the wall which says" T&T"it was founded in " 1993 by Cindy Lee"

They have interesting drinks and I often find fresh foods for lower than I might find them in a big box chain stores. They sell Blackball dessert drinks here but they've gone up slightly in price from what they used to be, so I decided to just grab a bottled drink that was on sale. I picked up something called Coconut Shake. Also came home with a lemon for 79 cents. Places like Superstore may have larger selection but their prices can be ridiculously high. I like these smaller markets that carry fresh foods for signficantly less than big box retailers. Service was good too. I accidentally left my keychain (with keys attached) at the cashier register. I was so happy and relieved when the lady from the cash register ran out and told me that I'd left my keys. So glad that my keys were noticed very quickly and that the lady was able to catch me before I ended up straying too far.

The inside is definitely bare bones and on the smaller side. However, it was full of customers. They're doing something right. They have Korean snacks and produce. Special mention to their dedicated kimchi and ready to eat food section, which have items like tteokbokki (starch roles in sauce) and kimbap. Oh so tasty. Another thing worth mentioning - they have sashimi grade fish, and as of the time of writing, it is much cheaper than T&T. My only real complaint is that the checkout area is set up rather poorly. I just saw a pile of people by the counters and assumed I was in the lineup. Turns out the lineup actually goes down the aisle that is closest to the wall. Pro tip. This place is definitely on my radar now. Will be back more often to empty my wallet. Recommended.

Was around the neighbourhood and my significant other needed some supplies, that to make some…read morehome-made broth for her pho. We already passed up a few other locations and I remembered this place, I haven't been here in years, so I didn't know what to expect. Most people who live in the Lower Mainland might not come to this place, as it literally is in the (as my friend use to say) "armpit" of Canada. From the amount of beggers, crack whores, drug dealers, drug takers, let's just say this is not the rainbow and unicorns neighbourhood of town. I found parking a block up, and once we exited the car, a person asked us if we had any change.... yes... this is a stones throw away from Hastings and Main! We entered, and the guy working here was unloading, and putting things away, as well as setting up the front display of food items, and my dear went off in her world to look for items. This place is spacious, no overloading of shelves, no narrow aisles, no short store, this place is pretty wide, and pretty long. We started on the left side, walking down their open refrigerated section, you see very clean, and packaged vegetables. Anything from Thai chili's, Thai basil, mini limes, coriander, green onions, bean sprouts, just to name a few, everything had their own packaging where you could see what your buying, and everything was, as I said, clean! Through the aisles we noticed stuff like shrimp paste, sections of Sriracha sauce, fish sauce, cane sugar, brown sugar, cans of bamboo, powdered soup broth for your favorite pho dishes, laksa sauces, a variety of different rice noodles, even labelled by the width of the noodle. This place is a specialty store, and one I wouldn't hesitate on sending anyone too, sure you have to actually get out of your car, or go down there with public transit, and open your eyes to a different part of society. Sometimes part of the journey of making your dish at home, is the journey less spoken, that of where the hell you got your ingredients. The words, "you can't believe where I went to get this stuff" may come out of your mouth the next time you actually decide to prepare a Thai, Viet, Cambodian, Malaysian, Indonesian, etc..., dish... but if your working through some cookbook that is telling you things you need for a particular dish that you have no clue where to get cause your normal supermarket wouldn't have a clue what it is.... you maybe surprised here by finding it. The one thing we were looking for.. which they didn't have was freshly package pho noodles..... as all of the noodles we saw were dry, can't win them all!

Being Thai- speaks for itself now. I should know where to shop right? Right?…read more This is the only bona fide place to get That ingredients if you want that authentic green curry with real Thai eggplant (so round and cute, definitely not long and skinny which will give you soggy eggplant) or the hard to find actual Kaffir limes (not just the leaves) for your tom yum soup. Pick up some "real" oyster sauce for your Pad Bai Graprow, and the grapow leaves too (Thai basil). There's so much more, from frozen desserts, great Jasmine rice, rice noodles, and on and on and on.. spices. BUT, caveat, its in a sketch neighbourhood on East Hastings, druggies, street merchants (which are not necessarily sketch), homeless folks (also not necessarily sketch). So you might feel a bit out of place if you plan on sliding up in your Range Rover or Mercedes. But that's just a feeling, nothing bad will happen. It's not the prettiest of places, it's a big warehouse kind of space, no cute labels and fun signs, just the facts and prices. Ladies who work there, super nice, super helpful. A lot of things are kept in the back so use your big girl voice and ask for things if you can't find it. Delivery day seems to be Friday, so the weekend is a good time to go in. Prices are so good, I don't know why anyone and I mean ANYONE would buy Thai ingredients in the Asian food aisle in the supermarket. Case and point, fish sauce should never, ever cost more than $2 for the largest size bottle. EVER. You're welcome. Happy Thai shopping, cooking and eating :)

Sometimes it can be slightly cheaper when on sale. I like the variety and quality of food here. It looks fresher. I like the selection of cheese and the ready to eat food. You can pick and choose from the display case by letting the staff know what you want. Or you can also get your own selection from the warmers. It goes by weight. There are also individual or family meals which are now standardized pricing. $15 for individual and $45 for family. 1 entree and 2 sides. The soup selection is pretty good too. Same for the pizza. I've not tried the sushi or sandwiches here. Then there is the bakery and dessert section. The tiramisu is amazing! Chocolate eruption if you love chocolate. I like the pies and the Bundt cakes too. There is also an Amazon locker here to pick up your parcel. It's near the dining area which is quite big compared to other grocery stores with space for eating your food. Cutlery and napkins are available. You can also redeem your parking here. 1 hour with min $20 purchase. Used to be with $10 purchase when the parking was $1/hour, now it's $2/hour. Generally good experience, however it was disappointing tonight for my nephews birthday to receive a fruit tart with the *most* sour fruit (which the kids didn't mind tbh, but the adults avoided). The "happy birthday" which is usually piped onto a piece of chocolate was piped simply on to a piece of acetate. This wound up smudging as it was still wet and touched the top of the box, and it was really disappointing for the kiddos as they generally fight over the chocolate (and is used a bit to get them to sit still lol). We wished they had piped onto the original chocolate placard, or even a cookie, so that the frosting would solidify.

Plus I am usually pleased with the freshness of their foods. I also enjoy their lunch box with bbq pork and soy sauce chicken, tho it tends to be saltier in taste and needs to be paired with hot tea or a drink. Overall, it's quite tasty when purchased at the start of lunch hour as the chef brings out all the freshly prepared whole chickens and satisfying. Their bbq lunch boxes seem bigger in portion size and more economical ($14.98) than Neptune plus with the ample parking options, it makes for a much quicker grab and go lunch option. (IMO, Neptune is better for dim sum or dine-in meals.) I usually prefer coming to this store over t&t for Asian groceries such as seaweed snacks or condiments or dry noodles etc. Because I find this location much less crowded with faster lineups and feels more comfortable with its natural lighting and spacious layout. This store meets my overall expectations in cleanliness, convenient parking, and cashier efficiencies but some may opt to shop elsewhere to look for lower prices. For me, their deli foods section, free parking, decent food selection, fresh quality and friendly service keeps me returning to this store.
