Every time I come here I think "I really dislike the layout of this grocery store", but I still…read morecome here all the time, so they must be doing something right. This is the kind of review I don't like writing. I don't hate the place, but I don't love it either. The Good Parking is a breeze here. Getting in and out of the parking lot does not majorly suck and that's pretty important to me. If I have to cross four lanes of heavy traffic (which Acadiana has A LOT of) to get in there I'm not going to spend my dollars there, it's just as simple as that. The floral department to here is gorgeous. It's set just past the entrance (which is the only part of the layout of the store that makes sense) and I always stop here first to look at the arrangements. The flowers are fresh and lovely and they have great little gifts and plants as well. I am a little jealous of the florist who gets to work here because of all the pretty things! Ahhhh! They are always having excellent sales of 12 packs of Coke Zero and Coke products. When a 12 pack is not on sale it's like $5. I drink Coke Zero like it is water, therefore I want it to be affordable. Watch the sales paper and sign up for the mobile app to save even more on your everyday grocery bill. Locally made? You'll find it here. They proudly carry local artists, foods and gulf seafood, which I like. I will buy local even if it costs a little more because I believe in supporting our culture however I can. The Bad Most of the time the lines are painfully long and slow. I don't know if its when I shop but there never seem to be enough cashiers open. I can deal with that but if you're in a hurry skip to the express line but make sure you only have 10 items or less. Please don't be that asshole that has like 25 items and think no one notices. We do and we don't like you. Rude! As I mentioned before, it's laid out sort of weird and things aren't very easy to find. For instance, the cheese section is on the complete opposite end of the store as the milk products. What? They need to get some kind of fung shui expert in there or something because I think cheese and milk should be neighbors, but maybe that's just me. All in all, it's not a bad place to make groceries and I will continue to return.

The prices at this store are ridiculous! I compared prices of a few item and all were at least 20%…read morehigher than other stores. One item in particular was Absolute chilli pepper vodka- I found it for HALF the price at another local store! I won't ever go back! Their LSU section had 3 shirts. That's it!

When I came into the store earlier, I could clearly hear employees in the back arguing with one another. The situation was loud enough to be heard from the shopping area, and I found it to be very unprofessional and quite disturbing while I was trying to shop. As a customer, I expect a certain level of professionalism and respect, especially from a local grocery store that prides itself on serving the community. Hearing employees raise their voices and argue openly gives a negative impression and makes the environment uncomfortable for shoppers. Because of this experience, I have decided to take my business elsewhere. I recently shopped at Rouses and found the staff there to be noticeably more professional, courteous, and friendly. The cashiers were polite, and the overall atmosphere was welcoming and pleasant -- exactly what customers hope to find in their local grocery store. I am thoroughly disappointed with the experience I had at Nunu's in Youngsville, and based on this incident, I am unlikely to return. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and addresses the behavior of the staff to ensure other customers don't encounter the same issue.

They have all kinds of stuffed roasts, chicken and marinated steaks. They are also known for some of the best boudin and cracklin in Acadiana. Rees Street Market is a nice little store on the main drag headed in to Breaux Bridge. It is on the right side of the street for a stop to pick up supplies before heading into the famous Crawfish Festival, and you are sure to be welcomed by the friendly staff that always makes you feel like family!!! This is one of my favorite places to shop!!! If you are in town stop by, you won't be disappointed!!! Reste affamé mes amis!!!

This is a very good little Cajun market. If Poche's is closed this is the next best Cajun market in…read morethe area. A great little Cajun market. One of my top 3 in the area. The Butcher here makes some awesome chicken & apple sausage. WOZA. The best way to have his Chicken & apple sausage is for breakfast with Bourbon maple syrup & buckwheat pancakes. You can tell him I said that ;) Anyhoo, he also makes some amazing seafood stuffed mushrooms. Yum yum yum. I want to drive over right now & get some of those. Last time I stopped by I got a whole giant pack of them, BBQ'em on the grill, then hubby & I fought over them till one bounced off the grill & the cat ran off with it. The irony. They are slightly different than Poche's stuffed mushrooms these have a whole shrimp on top of them. Meow! :)' My only complaint is they don't carry any fresh baked breads by Gambino's Bakery & that is a cardinal sin for a Cajun place. Come on y'all? Don't be cheap coonass's order the Gambino bread & I will update my review. Merci à bientôt.
