Piedmont Pet is an excellent in-home boarding and daycare provider for small dogs. Nervous pet owners like me will appreciate the genuine care, attention to detail, and communication Karen brings to every pet care interaction. Our little 17-lb terrier mix has a few health issues and is on a special diet and meds, and needs to be in an environment where he will be handled gently. We never, ever worry with Karen! She was extremely thorough when we first started working with her, making time to ask lots of good questions and answer all of ours. She is a confident and very experienced animal lover who organizes and handles small-dog pack walks like the pro she is. We get daily photos of his adventures when our dog is with Piedmont Pet which we really, really appreciate. Karen takes care of him like one of her own (little sweaters in the winter, no-pull harnesses, comfy beds and blankets, etc.), and we can tell he feels secure and comfortable with her and his "vacation pack". His time there is a great mix of snuggles and downtime and walks and enrichment time. Karen also provides drop-in visits for our cat when we're away which we really appreciate. Our cat doesn't like anyone and she actually plays with Karen and allows pets (we get pics and videos of this too)! We feel secure knowing our sweet little dog buddy is in great hands and our less-sweet but still loved cat buddy is getting wet food and playtime when we can't be there. She has a very soothing and kind voice and gentle approach with our dog. She has a key to our house and picks up our pup. Our cockapoo and maybe terrier rescue is almost a year old. We've had her for 4 months and she's still "in training". She adores Coleen. We all adore Coleen and her team! Coleen has special days where you can schedule spa treatments/grooming sessions for your pet. Another great service is when she picks up pet supplies for you and drops it off at your home. He's very reliable and always makes sure that Rufus is getting attention and affection - something that he didn't get from other pet sitters. They were also able to handle pop-up travel - another plus. My only negative - and it's more of an industry thing perhaps - is that it's costly - $25/day. That really adds up when I have to be on the road for a couple of weeks. That said, I would MUCH rather pay MLFYP that amount than, say, a kennel or PetSmart. Overall, they've been great and I'd definitely recommend them highly.

My latest sitters Bill and Nancy are wonderful with my 3 cats. My cats are very shy, and I know that Bill or Nancy do everything they can to respect that and try to make a connection with them on their visits. Sometimes one of the cats might want to play or get petted or maybe not. They are always well cared for and I can relax on my trips knowing they are in the best hands. They want to know in detail every detail of the routine, so they can make sure things are normal as expected for the kitties. When I get home there is a handwritten letter on my table from the sitter, telling me welcome home and some stories of how it went while I was gone. The founder/owner Wendy is one of the nicest most caring people I have ever met. Her love of animals and her experience and knowledge is obvious and as a pet-parent that gives me peace of mind. I would highly recommend Wendy and Mothers Love.

The rates are so reasonable and the owners really do this out of love for dogs. It's great because they won't take on too many pets at one time so each animal gets a lot of one-on-one care. They were also flexible with drop-off and pick-up times, which allowed me to be less stressed. One of my favorite things was that I received email updates with photos to let me know how well my dog was doing. I am totally confident with their capability in handling all dogs of size and temperament. My dog can be dog-aggressive and right away it was clear to me that there would be no issues leaving him in this home, as they are great at establishing pack order and never allowing a situation to escalate in the first place. It is like having one of those fancy dog hotels right in my neighborhood, but with less stress for my dog, and on my wallet. I shall be using this boarding center in the future.

She takes the dogs out for over an hour of actual time hiking and playing - a huge plus over other walkers that charge the same for a quick walk around the block! I always come home to a happy and tired pup. She is also really flexible with scheduling and is great about accommodating last minute requests whether it's a cancellation or adding an extra walk one week. She's helped me out in a last minute situation many times. You can tell she genuinely loves and cares for the animals in her charge - she even sends photos of them having fun on their hikes! I tend to be a worrier, so it's great to have someone that I know is taking great care of my baby!
