I left without jeans from the other store bc I couldn't find anything I liked. This was my first official visit to the Buckle. I had stopped in once before, but they were SUPER busy and I was limited on time. Although I did have to approach Chloe (the store was again super busy), she was outstanding. I gave her a laundry list of what I didn't want in jeans versus what I did want. She listened to all of my craziness, knew her styles like a queen, and had me in a fitting room trying on about 10 pairs of jeans. I left with 4 pairs of jeans and 2 shirts. It's like that at all of the Maurice's that I've been in. To me, it's a form of fat shaming. I'm a plus size chick and I love my curvy body. There is no shame in my game. I like their selection of clothing but I wish they carried more styles in Pus size. The employees were super nice and kept checking to see if I was ok or needed any other sizes. I found several cute things to kick off fall. Most of the store was BOGO 50% off. I even found a few things on the Clearance that was 75% off. I really like their tank tops to layer under shirts with thin straps. It adds a pop of color and covers my bra straps. They have cute shoes, jewelry, and accessories. It all is up to date and stylish. I try to visit a Maurice's any time I'm near one to see what's new and what's on sale. If you are a plus size chick make sure you check them out.

I found a couple of items I liked, but I left purchasing nothing b/c no one said a single word to me until a made my way to the fitting rooms. I have worked retail on and off my whole life. We don't want to overwhelm the customer, but saying hello is important. Not standing around, talking to each other, giggling and playing on our phones is not how business is done. I counted 6 employees on the floor. Two behind the register, one in the fitting rooms, and three "waiting" on customers, one of which barely looked up from folding shirts. The other two were having a grand time doing their own thing. I made eye contact with the three on the floor multiple times but no one asked if they could assist me or even said hello. I had my arms FULLLLLLLL of clothes, including a bag from another store. The girl in the fitting rooms never asked if I needed anything. Needless to say, I left with nothing but frustration and disappointment. I went next door to Torrid and down the hall to the Buckle. Both stores are receiving rave reviews.

However, I must update my 5 star rating to 3 stars because they do not even have a MIRROR in this store now. They seem to have permanently closed both the public restroom and the fitting room. They are both marked closed for at least six months now, on every visit. My husband has a somewhat difficult time with clothing fit due to being extra tall and such, and he can't buy clothing here now because there is no way to try it on! While I have an easier time with my size tending to fit, I hate that I cannot even hold up an item and look into a mirror here. I've resorted to taking awkward photos with my phone to see if something goes with my coloring. That's just silly. I can only imagine they have had bad experiences with customers abusing the fitting room for theft, or something of that sort. But seriously, a large full length mirror was in that dressing room and they could at least bring it out into the store for customer use. I'll keep shopping here but I feel like they could have a lot more sales if they would reopen the restroom, or at least the fitting room.

When I finally went into a Motherhood Maternity, I realized I was wrong. In fact, last week my mom and I went into this location and I picked a beautiful red coat for only $40 (from a nice sale selection). It should fit for the rest of my pregnancy. Tera was a big help and gave me her opinions on what would work for the next 3 months and when I should go up a size. lol My first time to a Motherhood Maternity was in AZ. A friend took me in and I was so surprised to see things were often less expensive than they were at Target's maternity section! Jeans for example, started at $30 regular price, nursing bras were all under $20 from what I could tell... and the sales are great! I was pretty impressed. They have a large clearance section in the back. :) They also have some trendy selections, including jackets, jeans and sweaters. Honestly, I've bought most of my stuff from other mothers online or at Craigslist (better for the environment and my pocketbook) but for those special items and the occasional trendy new piece, I'll definitely be back!.. especially when I know what size of nursing bras I'll be needing. lol *sigh* See ya there!

I proceed into dressing room with a few sized nursing bras. Low and behold I end up leaving purchasing a few nursing bras that were 2 cup sizes larger than what she had told me. The sales woman wasn't very helpful with getting me measured....she was way off. I also would advise going in the store and trying some things on for sizing but then order online you can get so many great deals online and on the clearance online rather than in store! :)
