Martin's team takes care of our yard on a weekly basis, always professionally and responsively. In the recent rainstorms our drainage pump stopped working due to an animal. They promptly came to switch the pump, moved the outlet to a better location, and upgraded the gradation to allow for better drainage. Martin did a fantastic job for us on a large project - front/back and side yards for a new build. There were a number of unexpected problems that cropped up (a new gas line that needed to be laid after hardscape was done, etc), none of which were Martin's responsibility, and he was able to help us resolve them all. His people are fast and knowledgeable - They put in all the hardscape (patio, BBQ island, large tree planter, veg planters, driveway, dry creek, etc.) quickly and professionally, were able to resolve all of the minor bumps in the road without issue, and made everything look fantastic. Martin also made a number of suggestions as to lighting, a few additional plants, etc, all of which improved the overall plan considerably. Hard to believe this review is for the same company that got full 5 stars before. My recommendation is DO NOT complete payment before the work is 100% completed. Based on the solid reviews we contacted Landscape Pros to build a French Drain and Water Proof our house. We paid over $10,000 and the job was not done properly and completely. It's a lot of money! During the bid, b4 start working, they were very attentive, responsive and promised to put back the plants they would remove and also to replace a piece of wood and lock from a fence They were few days late to start, during work they hit a pipe and we could not use water for a coupe days. They also never added a temporary fence as promised between our house and the neighbors, and they left crap in my neighbors yard My major problem was how hard it was to get a hold of them AFTER PAYMENT and "after" completed the job. They were first thing in the morning ready for payment which we paid completely BUT: - Martin only provided the receipt after I BEG multiple times 2 weeks after payment - The soil was never leveled and grass was not planted back - they left crap in my neighbors property - They ruined the grass in the whole front yard (the job was on the side of the house but they parked trucks and tools there (to be fair that's growing back) - The pins of the french drain was night, they promised to come back and leverage them and they did a couple weeks later LESSON LEARNED: Never ever believe on the "sweet talk" and complete a payment until the work is 100% completed, no matter what they will disappear read more

So the work these guys did is a solid 4 stars but responsiveness and promise keeping is their biggest draw back. One thing, amongst several, it was promised to my husband that they will.come next day around noon to show how some stuff works to.my husband. Well he waited until 1 pm because after all the meetings in the AM he had to go to the office. Noone showed up. Well, we called, left VM, I sent an email with no response back. Total ignore. What I loved the best was that he would suggest changes along the way, and all of them were so much better than what we had originally planned. For example, we were building a large fire pit and we had already chosen the slate. When Martin saw it, he suggested a different one that he thought would match the travertine better and he just brought samples over. He was super proactive throughout the remodel and the outcome was so much better. He wasn't pushy at all, super accommodating, and really just cared about the outcome of the project. They do super high-quality work and their prices were lower than some of the other bids we got. We chose Martin because he had done a friend's backyard remodel and they had a really good experience. I was very happy with the work they performed on my property 2 years ago, so I wanted to have them back for more work. I called, left a message and also emailed, but never heard back. I called again and got a real person, who was able to find my emails and schedule a visit in a couple days. From the first encounter with this company, I sincerely felt as though I would be in good hands. Bruno, their estimator, arrived on time and measured the sagging retaining wall as well as the vegetable bin, made a few suggestions for improving the overall feel and within days, provided me with a clear and detailed estimate of the project costs. Landscape Pros were not the lowest bidder, but they clearly were not the highest either. The project started on a Wednesday with the deconstruction and hauling away of materials. The rapid pace and the cleanliness of the workman gave me great confidence that we had picked a winner for this project. The following few days moved rapidly as post were set in wet cement and took 24 hours to set followed by the rapid construction of the wall itself with a French drain. By Saturday, the vegetable bins remained and within short order, these were constructed with the same diligence as the wall. One thing remained and that was connecting a sprinkler system to the two veggie bins. This last item truly was the cherry on the cupcake. If prize-winning tomatoes and cukes do not grow in this magnificent set up, I can only blame myself. Landscape Pros is truly an appropriate name for this outstanding company. They worked from a basic design but very actively suggested details and significant alterations, all of which were great. We used Landscape Pros to fix some major drainage problems around our home - our downspouts dropped off at the foundation and all of the drain water was seeping under our house, causing foundation issues. Martin and his team ran all of our downspouts into an underground pipe that fed out to the street via sump pumps. The lane was ending and merged together, he was behind me and just had to get infront of me and my 5th wheel cutting us off and almost rear ending the person in front. After a disappointing experience with a well known landscape company I called Landscape. Pros, San Jose. Bruno returned my call the same day and fixed up an appointment for consultation. He agreed with our plan for the front yard and suggested some improvements. The work involved - planting a boxwood hedge on one side of the drive way and patio roses and carpet roses on the other side. Also, irrigation system and installing a new timer box for the irrigation system. We were very pleased with his knowledge and professionalism.
