My leasing agent (I dont remmeber her name) made so many mistakes. She bait and switched us in the sense that she told us we would have the larger fridge (which we expressed how excited we would be to have one) and then rufused to take accountability for that when we moved in and had the smaller fridge. After our tour she said she would send us an email of what apartments we were interested in and that was never sent, we had to call right before they closed for that info (so we could get the deal that was going on at the time and was ending soon) and another person had to basically guess what she told us, and then she never sent the email after that either. She also never sent us our move in email. I had to call DAY OF move in to get that info ( which said it needed to be completed before move in, but she never sent it) (I also asked the manager and she said that they usually try to send it out a week in advance and that we mustve been looked over, which is also not helpful). After we moved in and confronted her about the fridge she denied it and I had ask if ther was someone higher up that her that I can talk to and she said no. Then I proceeded to get into contact with a woman who in fact was the manager and she was also very rude. She also didnt take accountability for anything either and made up excuses for all the bad encounters Ive had with the leasing office in general(like the leasing office not answer calls or emails) and her "compensation" for everything was giving me her personal email to get into contact easier with them. If they had just been honest and said it was a mistake I would have given them some credit but they just dont want to look bad. Besides that mantenance is great and the place itself is nice and Im sure this doesnt happen to a lot of people but I want some accountability from them. I will edit with names if I figure them out.

Seems to be lots of families as well as couples, however, everyone mostly keeps to themselves. The apartment was homey and felt safe. It backs up to the old golf course (no longer in use) which connects to Mungo park. There's nice walking trails and open areas, perfect for pets/kids. The downside to the apartment was that there was no overhead lighting or fans in the bedrooms/living room which was annoying, and they didn't have a trash pickup (but charge a monthly trash fee). Only ever had 2-3 maintenance needs but they were attentive and fixed everything appropriately. I moved out due to significant price increases which I didn't feel were warranted given the age of the apartments and lack of amenities (no granite countertops, outdated appliances, carpet throughout, no trash pickup, no overhead fixtures, no closet lighting, etc.). All of which I was fine with for the previous rental amount. Renewal option price rates were all over the place from $1315/mo to $1818/mo. 12 month option had an increased rate of over $500 more per month than what I was paying. I enjoyed my time here, it just didn't make sense to stay. Also, keep in mind that if you live on the third floor, moving in and out is difficult due to the stairs. There is a landing between each floor making the stairs zig-zag.

My family and I moved here in January 2013. When we moved here the apartment complex was under a…read moredifferent property management company. During that time overall we had a positive experience with the old management company. We didn't have any issues with office staff or management during the time of the old management company. The residents during this time were very mixed income and diverse racially. But they didn't have standards for residents. We weren't as likely venture out for outdoor activities. In 2014 the apartments were purchased by Aspen Management. Soon after every changed for the better. Families who were behind on rent, had extensive criminal backgrounds, who caused severe damage to the property, or overall problem residents were not asked to renew their lease or were evicted. The renovated every apartment and townhouse once someone moved out. Doing this brought in folks were willing to pay increased rent prices and who wanted to live more of a suburban life (less diverse but still mixed income). They changed the landscape, created a fitness center, clean and modernized the pool, created lounge and picnic areas, dog park and even corn hole and horseshoe pits. Overall we had a positive experience with old and new management and moved because we decided to move to Charlotte. The rent increases were in line with other apartments and townhouses that are that close to the lake. Would recommend these apartments if you want a more suburban life; if you have children; if you want to live close to chops and restaurants and if you like being close to the lake. Management also have social events during various holidays and season highs. You can also rent parking spaces if you have more than one car or need more than usual or if you like to park right in front of you place or close to your door. Negatives from our viewpoint: traffic congestion, UPS/FedEx deliveries mishaps, while renovations are happening maintenance and reno guys park trucks in the most inconvenient places i.e in front of mailboxes or management office. Suggestion to Management: create recycling for mailbox area; so much of the junk mail is thrown in trash.

While these are older apartments, they are renovating. We had brand new appliances when we moved in. Our air did not work initially, and for some reason our shower did not turn on, but maintenance installed a new unit immediately, and made sure the plumber was out same day. We are quite happy with our new place. It's quiet, and everyone we've talk to so far is friendly. There is a recreation center across the street with a pool and other amenities that we are able to utilize. We are even located 10 minutes from work. We plan to stay until we purchase our own home.

The "Part-Time Job" of Being a Tenant: From day one, I had to take on a second job just to get basic issues resolved. I dealt with persistent plumbing failures, electrical problems, and pest control issues. When I followed up with the office, the staff attempted to gaslight the situation, minimizing the record to make it seem as if expecting a habitable home was the problem. The Corporate Black Hole (Regional & HQ): The fish truly rots at the head. This property is managed by Willow Bridge Property Company, a firm that has run the reputation of this once-reputable complex into the ground since taking over. When I elevated my 141-day maintenance neglect to the Regional level, I was met with record minimization and bullying. When I took it further to the Willow Bridge Headquarters in Texas, I was met with total silence. One-Sided Contracts: It was only when I exercised my legal right to terminate the lease due to these failures that they suddenly "hurried" to fix 141 days of neglect. Even then, they had the audacity to threaten legal action for leaving early. They believe the contract is one-sided: they demand your rent on the 1st, but they believe they have zero obligation to provide a consistent, habitable environment in return. Final Verdict: This place was once a gem under previous management, but under Willow Bridge, it has become a "cautionary tale" of soulless corporate neglect. If you value your peace of mind and your legal rights, look elsewhere.

Entrance to the building is accessed by a key fob that is given to you when you first move in. Coin Laundry machines and dryers are located in the basement of the building for your convenience. The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I don't like the fact that the heat is controlled by the whole building. I can't adjust it myself. I also don't like the fact that you can hear others in their condos below, above and beside me. It makes me feel as if I don't have enough privacy and control over what I do inside of my own place. Other than that everything else is fine. The people who work the front desk are all very friendly, courteous and helpful!

There are 24-hour courtesy officers which check in guests and accept packages. The courtesy officers are friendly and try to remember everyone by name. They also do rounds about the building and the garage. Amenities: Small pool with plenty of lounge chairs. A small courtyard with grill. Trash chutes on every floor. Three elevators (one is for service). Carts for transporting groceries and large, heavy stuff upstairs. Small workout room with: 3 cardio machines, a do-it-all resistance machine, and some hand weights. Workout room kinda sucks but is better than nothing. There's also a room one can reserve for parties, meetings, etc. No problem with bugs; Pest control comes around every month. Parking: Parking garage has reserved spaces and other parts of the garage is also used by USC and the city. If you're considering to rent an apartment here, check the availability. There are a handful of visitor parking spaces in front of the building. There's street parking- free on weekends. There's also a bicycle rack. Demographics: Mix of residents students, professors, retirees, government officials, etc. Overall this place is great, but there are some cons: There isn't really any green space here other than the grassy area across the road. Regime fee is very pricey and internet is not included. The laundry room is coin operated and I always have to scramble to find quarters. The pool is next to the garage and loud AC unit. The heat and AC is controlled by the building. Heat isn't usually turned on till November.

After putting in my application, everything seemed to go well at first, with my work and references being checked. They required I have a cosigner, which I was also fine with. The breaking point was when one of their representatives lied to me, telling me that my application was denied due to them not being able to get in touch with my cosigner's personal references. Now, being denied isn't the issue, but the dishonesty about something I can easily check just by asking around is unacceptable.
