The walls are incredibly THIN, you could hear your neighbors sneeze or argue or anything if you have no other sound blocking device like a tv... before my neighbors moved i heard everything & yes ... EVERYTHING even s3x..... thankfully they moved but of course my other neighbor has a dog & barks 25/8, it was a shooting IN THE COMPLEX LESS THAN 2 WEEKS AGO, the person who was involved STILL LIVES HERE.... My patio was already a mess before i moved in, the surrounding areas are ghetto looking but of course you won't know that until you see it for yourself, we do have new management but they barely manage any damn thing but the rent ... especially if you're late be prepared to pay 70% of whatever you're late on & on top of new rent (things happen I'm caught up but was late once & never again) all in all please just find somewhere else to go, i have cracks in my ceiling, walls, it was already smelling like a cigarette, i hear my neighbors flush, take a shower & it's something dripping in the walls that i can hear but cannot see, BE AWARE THIS COMPLEX IS OLD AS HELL & NEEDS TO BE DEMOLISHED & REBUILT!!!! ALL OF THE UNITS EITHER LEAK, BUG INFESTED OR POSSIBLY SOMETHING WORSE!!! MOVE ANYWHERE EXCEPT BROAD RIVER!!!!! I renewed my lease last year but this will DEFINITELY BE MY LAST RENTAL!!!!!!! SAVE YOUR MONEY, BUILD YOUR CREDIT & GET A MORTGAGE FOLKS!!!! It's not worth the money or time or hassle with these complexes... btw it's NOT quiet & even with the RICHLAND COUNTY SHERIFF DEP LIVING IN THE COMPLEX ITS STILL SHOOTINGS!!!!!!

While these are older apartments, they are renovating. We had brand new appliances when we moved in. Our air did not work initially, and for some reason our shower did not turn on, but maintenance installed a new unit immediately, and made sure the plumber was out same day. We are quite happy with our new place. It's quiet, and everyone we've talk to so far is friendly. There is a recreation center across the street with a pool and other amenities that we are able to utilize. We are even located 10 minutes from work. We plan to stay until we purchase our own home.

CanalSide Lofts is the…read moredefinition of "Ghetto Luxury": you pay $1,500+ a month for premium marketing but receive bottom-tier infrastructure, incompetent maintenance, and a management team that treats habitability as an optional courtesy. The "Part-Time Job" of Being a Tenant: From day one, I had to take on a second job just to get basic issues resolved. I dealt with persistent plumbing failures, electrical problems, and pest control issues. When I followed up with the office, the staff attempted to gaslight the situation, minimizing the record to make it seem as if expecting a habitable home was the problem. The Corporate Black Hole (Regional & HQ): The fish truly rots at the head. This property is managed by Willow Bridge Property Company, a firm that has run the reputation of this once-reputable complex into the ground since taking over. When I elevated my 141-day maintenance neglect to the Regional level, I was met with record minimization and bullying. When I took it further to the Willow Bridge Headquarters in Texas, I was met with total silence. One-Sided Contracts: It was only when I exercised my legal right to terminate the lease due to these failures that they suddenly "hurried" to fix 141 days of neglect. Even then, they had the audacity to threaten legal action for leaving early. They believe the contract is one-sided: they demand your rent on the 1st, but they believe they have zero obligation to provide a consistent, habitable environment in return. Final Verdict: This place was once a gem under previous management, but under Willow Bridge, it has become a "cautionary tale" of soulless corporate neglect. If you value your peace of mind and your legal rights, look elsewhere.

My cheap chair broke at the second day I moved in, they say they gonna replace it and they never do that. Bathroom soap holder fall down for no reason and the bathtub got clogged since day two, put it on the maintenance request, never fixed it. The most disgusting thing, the AC LEAKING WATER from time to time. Every time it leak, the hallway will be cover with water. They come over and fix it for two time, they just suck the water out and go away, didn't replace any thing, just let it happen every week. And this week, after I talk to the MANAGER, they DIDN T COME OVER AT ALL! I cannot live in a 80 degree apartment with flooding in the hallway! Bug problems, we got big o cockroach and long black crawlers a lot! I guess they probably come from the all the crack on the wall which they didn't fix at all. When we talk to the manager, she say there s only 2 maintenance on site and there over 400 maintenance request. I WONDER WHY THERE IS over 400 requests??? And why don't you hire more people since you know your apartments are nasty and old??? Just avoid the questions and bully the college students cuz we got no where else to live? This is not how you do the service. DISAPPOINTED, PLS DON T COME TO THIS PLACE AT ALL!

The maintenance service is terrible, the only courteous maintenance worker that was there was Mr. Sheldon, but he was fired. There are roaches, bedbugs, and fruit flies in every bathroom. I do not recommend this place to anyone at all. Don't live here.

Entrance to the building is accessed by a key fob that is given to you when you first move in. Coin Laundry machines and dryers are located in the basement of the building for your convenience. The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I don't like the fact that the heat is controlled by the whole building. I can't adjust it myself. I also don't like the fact that you can hear others in their condos below, above and beside me. It makes me feel as if I don't have enough privacy and control over what I do inside of my own place. Other than that everything else is fine. The people who work the front desk are all very friendly, courteous and helpful!

There are 24-hour courtesy officers which check in guests and accept packages. The courtesy officers are friendly and try to remember everyone by name. They also do rounds about the building and the garage. Amenities: Small pool with plenty of lounge chairs. A small courtyard with grill. Trash chutes on every floor. Three elevators (one is for service). Carts for transporting groceries and large, heavy stuff upstairs. Small workout room with: 3 cardio machines, a do-it-all resistance machine, and some hand weights. Workout room kinda sucks but is better than nothing. There's also a room one can reserve for parties, meetings, etc. No problem with bugs; Pest control comes around every month. Parking: Parking garage has reserved spaces and other parts of the garage is also used by USC and the city. If you're considering to rent an apartment here, check the availability. There are a handful of visitor parking spaces in front of the building. There's street parking- free on weekends. There's also a bicycle rack. Demographics: Mix of residents students, professors, retirees, government officials, etc. Overall this place is great, but there are some cons: There isn't really any green space here other than the grassy area across the road. Regime fee is very pricey and internet is not included. The laundry room is coin operated and I always have to scramble to find quarters. The pool is next to the garage and loud AC unit. The heat and AC is controlled by the building. Heat isn't usually turned on till November.

The breaking point was when one of their representatives lied to me, telling me that my application was denied due to them not being able to get in touch with my cosigner's personal references. Now, being denied isn't the issue, but the dishonesty about something I can easily check just by asking around is unacceptable. They said it could apply toward another property. This was not on the form and never explained. I have the texts to prove it. We are not interested in any of their other properties. This constitutes a breach of trust and may be a criminal offense but at the very least we will be pursuing this in civil court if our money is not refunded.
