Came here for a drink after dinner. My wife and I had been here before but during the daytime and had a great time. It was approximately 10PM and the bar was not busy at all. The bartender did not greet us and seemed annoyed and grouchy. I ordered a grey goose martini, up with olives and a little dirty. Well, the martini was extremely lacking vodka. I think it had more olive juice than vodka because it was salty as hell. Overall, I would not come back her for a drink or recommend for a night cap. I was staying at the Holiday Inn Express, so I came to the Landings restaurant for dinner and breakfast the next day. The dinner service was insanely slow. When I went back up to my room I asked a room service attendant I was passing if the room service was from the Landings restaurant and she said yes. So expect slow service at the Landings restaurant cuz they're making food for the entire hotel! I forget the name of the dish I ordered but it was basically chicken and mashed potatoes with some veggies. The portion wasn't very big, but it was the perfect size for me! The food was pretty tasty. My friends got french onion soup (which they all agreed was too salty) and a Cobb salad which was a HUGE bowl! It looked like enough to feed a family of four. For the dinner meal I'd give the food 4 stars, but the service 2 stars. We didn't get our food until about 45 minutes after we ordered and we were there for over 2 hours! For breakfast, I didn't have much time so I decided just to have the buffet style breakfast. Apparently, some rooms receive complimentary breakfast tickets, but unfortunately for my friends and I, we had to pay for the breakfast buffet. The breakfast food was nothing special. At the time I went, they were running low on things, and everything was cold when I ate it. They brought out more later, but I didn't want anymore of the food by then. I tried the scrambled eggs and some potatoes, but it was nothing special. They also had jam and toast which you toast yourself, cereals, yogurt and fruits. No waffles or pancakes though. You know that bar you go to because you're in a random town due to work, and you expect absolutely nothing, but it turns out to be an awesome time because of a great bartender? That is Landings. If you go there and Viet is NOT working, leave. If he is there, sit at the bar and have a great time. Hotel bars are usually lame. We go there because we are staying at the hotel and don't want a DUI. This is one of the rare exceptions. Next time I'm in town, I'm staying here (Holiday Inn) because of the fun I had, and the other random strangers I made friends with. All made possible by a great bartender. Previous reviews that mention Viet's uberness are not overstated. And if you don't want to sit at the bar, the individual booths along the back wall, have individual TVs so you can enjoy a game without engaging the riff raff at the bar :) read more

The bartender was nice and attentive. Of course there were only two of us there and we were right in her face...The food was not good. I was starving and so looking forward to the burger I ordered. The menu said it was Angus beef so I was expecting fat and juicy. What I got seemed like a frozen patty. I was not impressed. I had a Thursday morning breakfast at the Landings (part of the Holiday Inn hotel). I chose a menu item rather than the buffet. My eggs were ordered over easy, but the whites were still a bit runny (over a bit early) . Service by Carlos was fair, but I still had to flag him down for a coffee refill. I actually had a really good time. There was this awesome bartender who is Asian, I'm crap for remembering names... He remembered mine too. Anyway, he is wicked good on the guitar and we had a few talented locals and travelers. This was as welcoming as a campfire with all the convenience of toilets and fancy soap. read more

The service is amazing. Viet was our bartender and he remembered my name and took great care of me. I had wine and buffalo wings during happy hour (classy, hey?) and everything was perfect for my week. I had the caprese salad and it was delicious and light. I was staying at the Holiday Inn for the week and I was in the bar every night. The food is decent for a Holiday Inn restaurant. the jumbo shrimp scampi with house potato chips was good. The wings on football nights I think are frozen and flash fried, but not so bad. The steak and cheese salad was really good. Med rare steak over romaine hearts with bleu cheese crumbles and a mustard vinaigrette. The french onion soup was nothing to rave over. Had the minestrone one night and it was ok. All in all not a bad place to eat, but a great place to drink after a work day. During the week there was a bartender named Viet who was great. Very friendly and mixes some good drinks. Kept the bar open almost to 1am on a Friday night since there was a group of people that didn't want to leave. He pulled his laptop out and hooked up some speakers and streamed Pandora for the bar. One TV over the bar, but all the booths along the wall have their own small TV if you're not interested in what's on over the bar (usually whatever sport it on). read more

I travel to the Ontario area rather frequently, and I almost always stay at the Holiday Inn hotel in which this restaurant is located. I've never had a bad experience here. The meals have always been tasty (Chicken Marsala and Rosemary Fennel Chicken stand out), and the bartenders are very friendly. I didn't give this place 5 stars because I feel they're a little overpriced. Overall, I look forward to eating here when I'm staying in the area. read more

Breakfast buffet is very overpriced and over cooked! Even the fruit did not taste good and I am not sure how you can mess that up!

Came here twice for breakfast before work while traveling for work. Plan on one hour for breakfast unless you eat the $14 buffet that's been sitting forever. Do yourself a favor and walk across the street to Marie calendars. read more

Here on vacation and my husband was off at a concert! The bartender Vin made me feel as if I was a regular and right at home! The business men here on travel were super nice as well ( I was the only female at the bar). Would highly recommend! Ask for Vin special! read more

Service isn't that great. They do come in ans check up on you; however they are slow. The food was alright, I had the Cajun Ribeye steak. It took more than an hour to get the dishes and potatoes werent cooked thoroughly. Another order of potatoes were given but after about a half hour. The steaks were very well seasoned, and the preference of how cooked I wanted them to be were off by a level. My father had ordered the same dish and had the same problems. Overall the dish wasn't worth the money but were pretty mediocre in terms of taste and quality of the cooking. read more
