He went on vacation to Spain and left a…read morehorrible, irresponsible woman in charge who DIAGNOSED my 95 year old Mom as requiring two new crowns. Without having the credentials of a Doctor. And she refused to identify herself, her title. Through Google search we found out she is merely a Dental Hygienist diagnosing, pretending to be a Doctor while he is on vacation. Didn't even let us know when we made the appointment that there would be no REAL Dentist on the premises. She glued on the old crown temporarily, crooked and uncomfortable. And it fell off before my Mom could get to a next appointment. Just appalling! Luckily we found a great new dentist quickly. A REAL Doctor who sees the REAL needs of a 95 year old patient, instead of the almighty $$. What Dr Piedras Hygienist did is elder abuse and just really, really lousy work. Don't go to this place. If he goes on vacation and leaves such dishonest and unprofessional people in charge, it's probably a reflection of how he runs the whole place. If I could give them a ZERO, I would. Above all, it saddens me that they have absolutely NO RESPECT for the elderly, and thought they could pull a fast one on my Mom.

Thus, there isn't anything a dentist can tell me that I haven't already heard. That being said, it's really hard for me to find a dentist I like. Queue, The Bite Dental. Being that it is 2018, I found them on Instagram. I liked the decor, the attitude, etc., so I called and made an appointment. They emailed me the paperwork to fill out beforehand and send back. Great. I actually appreciate this, because who wants to sit around and fill out paperwork at 9:00AM? I met with Dr. E, the general dentist. Very sweet woman, but knows when to be serious. She recommended treatments for me, and gave me advice. Never tried to upsell me any treatment she didn't deem necessary. Susan their dental hygienist is an angel. Extremely charismatic and knows her stuff. I've gone to hygienist who recommend deep cleanings and full mouth debridement that weren't needed. My only qualm is their hours. They're open M-F from 9:00AM-5:00PM which makes it difficult for corporate employees to get appointments. Hopefully they'll open up Saturdays in the near future to cater to that crowd. But if you're in the market for a new dentist, who knows the latest technologies and is honest. The dentists at The Bite Dental are the dentists for you!

So many practices in South Florida overstate needed work, charge double or triple the average, and use high-pressure tactics--it often feels like a used car dealership. Having had the same trusted dentist from childhood into adulthood, I'd almost given up on finding a place that is conservative, transparent, fairly priced, and uses the latest technology. I also wanted a practice where every service is comfortable, appointments are easy to get, the work is skilled, and the staff is professional and knowledgeable. Dr. Michael's office is all of that and more. I went in with serious anxiety and left feeling happy and ready to address issues I'd been ignoring. From my first call, Ana and Maggie at the front desk were wonderful. Erin prepared a detailed insurance breakdown in minutes with minimal hassle--they are truly the sweetest administrative team around. My hygienist, Dara, was attentive, caring, and genuinely talented. First time they claimed I never made an appointment even though I always make one with my husband and then they still tried arguing. This last time they tried calling me less then 12 hours before my appointment telling me they had to change my time by over two hours but my husband could keep his the same so we had to go back and forth before they "called other people" and called me back less than thirty seconds later to tell me it is okay for my original time I scheduled 6 months beforehand. Other than that... this place is AMAZING. The staff here and hygienists are insanely good and thorough with their cleanings and I love how they also give me a little toothpaste to take home when I am finished! I never have to wait long when I check in! Their waiting room is rather small with a handful of chairs but it is never crowded to where I have to stand or wait outside. The place is also very clean and I like that each room has a television that they play music from so the cleanings are never quiet and awkward! A lovely dentist that could use a little help with their last minute warnings and small appointment issues but overall an amazing place with an amazing dentist, Dr. Gonzalez!!!

They take their time and I love that they do because my teeth always feel incredibly fresh and clean after my cleanings or check ups if I think I might have an issue. Dr Gonzalez is one of the friendliest people that I know and doesn't feel like I am being rushed out when I am talking to him. I am not a fan of the other dentist that recently started because it feels like she is trying to push products such as claiming I have an overbite when my orthodontist has never said anything about it and I have had braces. They are open every day of the week and every other Sunday and their office is very clean and I never feel like I am on top of anyone when I'm here and waiting for my cleaning. A truly amazing dentist and practice that I hope to continue to go for as long as I can! I also love how the rooms have TVs that always have something very common relaxing playing on them whether it is different images of nature or animals. I also love that the seating is very cushioned and every piece of dental equipment is always incredibly clean.
