I'm writing this review based on the Swan Lake Golf Course. This is what came up when searching for…read more"Golf" in clarksville, and the address matched.
Anywho, the course is kept up with very nicely. I only played the front nine holes though, so my review is sort of just a "half review". One thing I did not like, was that the first few holes are right next to the road. Rude people driving by like to honk their horn right when you're on the down swing. I'm sure they thought it was funny, but I felt like throwing my club in to their window.
The greens are very well kept up with, and also fast. The fairways are nice as well, but the grass is very, um.... "poofy", so It is quite possible to lose your ball on the fairway, if you don't keep your eye on it. It will literally sink in to the grass, never to be seen again, until the lawnmower chops it up. It's kind of frustrating to have play a drop because you can't find your ball on the fairway. Maybe when summer time rolls back around, it will be easier to find your ball since the grass won't be yellow, but green.
The carts are gas powered. Came as a surprise to me since I've only used electric ones. This makes them kind of noisy, but you get used to it.
All in all, it's a pretty nice course but I will wait to play it again until the summer.
