This is a cool spot in West Nashville for climbers of all levels! My husband and I recently signed…read moreup for monthly memberships, and we've loved stopping in for a climb a few times a week. Bonus - there's lots of free parking nearby! If you're a beginner (or even if you're an experienced climber in need of a refresh), there's plenty of instruction time during your first official visit. A team member will walk you through the ins and outs of climbing - from how to clip in with a carabiner to how to safely belay for a partner. There are plenty of auto-belays available on the second floor if you're climbing solo, and several traditional top rope courses on the first floor if you have a climbing partner. This facility even offers fitness and yoga classes as another membership perk. Climb is a very family-friendly establishment, and it's great to see so many young kids excited about climbing. Some of these kids are even better climbers than experienced adults! That said, I would love to see an adults-only night every so often ... even once a month would be great. The gym can get pretty busy during peak times, so you may have to wait a bit for the route you'd like to climb. It's unclear how often they change up the routes, but there's also something to be said about taking another stab at a familiar route and trying to improve your climb. So far our interactions with the staff have been helpful and friendly, and they even offer discounts for members looking to buy their own gear!

The facility is HUGE with a ton of rope climbing options for belaying as well as the auto belays that don't require a partner. They also have a smaller bouldering section that was pretty difficult.

Climb west Nashville is a massive step up in layout space and design. And Murfreesboro location is by far the best Stairs located in the middle "hangout area" very overcrowded, mats only 6 or so feet from the walls, which puts everyone watching on the edges of the mats and center of the gym with no room to walk anywhere. Holds are the worst I've experienced in gym climbing, many of the holds are loose, and it seems like there are way too many routes set to perhaps make up for the fact that there isn't a lot of wall to work with, but the route setters must be high, arrows pointing in wrong directions with no clear start holds identified on most v2-v5 routes. Lastly the largest section of the climbing area is the cave, which nobody seems to use or at least is under utilized, just go to Murfreesboro or West. Seems like they need a max capacity or a website to book times on to free up some space, also they need to have some route setters from a different location to come to the rescue. Overall super friendly climbers and staff!

Apparently you have to go online to do it but that was not communicated as it should've been. There was then months of accruing charges after that. Fast forward a few months and it became a whole annoying to do contacting people all the way up to the GM to get my account back in good order so I could climb again.

Unlike all other climb gyms in the world, that's not how this process works at Climb. There's no walk in certs. You have to make an appointment, sometimes a week in advance for a Tuesday or Thursday time slot. The test itself is supposedly 45 minutes. There was a competition here hosting some of the best youth climbers in the country. They lead climbed in the gym for 2 days. After the comp was over, and once the gym opened up to the public, the kids were not allowed to get back on the walls to climb the routes that were set for them. Why? Because they weren't certified to lead in the gym. That's weird because they were just in your gym climbing those exact routes with the blessing of your management who organized the event, but OK, let's get them certified. Sorry, you have to make an appointment for next week. Next week? There are tons of people working here. None of them can certify these kids who traveled from out of state? No. It actually defies logic.

Booked again this year and the new rules they have in place are honestly stupid. You spend 255 and you get an hour in the room and a hour in the pool. We called and asked if parents can swim and they said no. luckly one of the adults brought thier suit because we needed an adult to swim with the kids. For the kids to go down the slide (which was the only reason my son wanted to book his bday party here) they had to take a swim test. which all the kids could stand and have there head above water so not sure why a swim test was needed. we were told by the host that they would come get us 15 prior to have the kids take their swim test but she didn't come until 5 min til and they didn't start until 3.It took 25 min to get all 20 kids tested leaving us 35 min for the kids to swim. No one knew anything. host had to ask manager and Manager had to call someone else. the kiddy area was gated off with brown stuff at the bottom ...gross. Worst experience. If you're looking for a place to hold a party I would highly recommend picking any other place in Clarksville.
