Can't say enough good things about the folks at Furever Home in East Petersburg. They provide a…read moregood environment and the cats here are welcome to live out their lives if nobody adopts them. When I adopted a Pet Pantry cat who was living at Furever Home, I almost felt bad about taking him out of there. Food bowls, litter boxes, cat trees and toys everywhere! Zero rocking chairs! This is kitty Valhalla, at least at shelters go. I told them I couldn't compete with that many trees and toys. But what these cats need most is a home. And that part is working out well, at least in my case. This older male cat had no reason to bond with me but nevertheless, here he is as I write this, hopping into my lap and waiting for me to go to bed so he can curl up next to me.

The parking lot is huge and there is no problem. The courts are well maintained. The space between courts is manageable. There is a stadium court with bleachers. We didn't play there. As a Hempfield resident for 15 years I've had many interactions with the Rec Center. While I've…read morenever been a member, I've attended free classes when they were available, went on a bus trip they offered, had my daughter in the after school childcare program they run, as well as a dance class. More recently I've paid a per person daily fee to use the pool, although it does also allow you to use the entire facility. One thing I will say is it is aways crowded, no matter what time or where you are in the building. Classes fill up quick. Swimming classes are booked several months in advance, and the lot is always full. One thing that is disappointing, hence the 4 stars instead of 5 is the before/after school program. While when my daugher was in school it was available to any parent that needed it. Now, they have limited spots and no opening. My grandson has been on a wait list now since August and it's now Feb. That sucks for working parents! And it could very well be a sign of the times post covid, with employee shortages. The indoor pool is wonderful. I have yet, even after all these years been to the one outside in season but I'm sure it's equally as impressive. The indoor pool is large, and while you do need to check the schedule for free swim times, they do have it roped off for laps. I believe it goes to 13' and has a diving board. There's tables/chairs around the pool to put your stuff and a changing area in that area. There is also locker rooms down the hallway. The ladies has a dry sauna, showers, and a machine that rings out your suits. I especially like that pool toys, floats, and swim aids are allowed, as I take my three young grandchildren, none of which can swim. You do need to bring your own towels, etc. I do think the pricing is high for membership as well as a $10/per person daily rate if like me you just stop in to use the pool. The $10/pp was firm, even for my one grandson who is an infant. Still a great place to patronize. Check their website because they are very community minded and some of their special events do not require membership although they might have a small fee.

I found a cool carry bag featuring a beautiful donkey, which will make a wonderful gift for my wife. The bag even has a small painted pouch inside the bag for her to store small items. This is going to be a great bag to carry treasures she finds when shopping at flea markets. Our anniversary is coming up, but I won't be able to keep this a secret. She'll tell by the grin on my face that I have a secret. She's getting this today. The staff is very friendly, too. I could see students in a back room taking a class. When I lived in Lancaster City this Goodwill location was on my regular thrift rotation. Over the…read moreyears I've gotten many scores here. They used to have a nice jewelry selection at the counter (which is sadly no longer there). However since I moved to the suburbs a decade ago I rarely get to this location, but when I'm in the area like to stop in. I popped in earlier this week after a long hiatus. I'm on a mission to find white skinny jeans and a decent bathing suit cover up. I've been searching for weeks. Unfortunately I didn't find what I was seeking but still enjoyed cruising the isles. Some things I've noticed from that visit: Although clothing appears to be separated by sizes (s/m/l/xl) they're really not. I'm not talking a few pieces out of place I'm talking like every piece is a different size. I've found kid sizes in with adult ladies. Smalls in the large section and visa versa. Ignore the organization and look thru everything piece by piece for best results. Aside from organization the sorting process isn't the best. While the majority of the items were in great shape I found several with obvious tears or stains that should have never made it to the sales floor. Worse yet they were very obviously and not in places that would be overlooked, so check all your buttons, under the arms for tears, and make sure zippers work because returns are not accepted. Linens and children's selections are rather skimpy - compared to other Goodwill's in the area. This location also had jeans thrown in with curtains which is clearly an oversight on their end. Ladies wear was plentiful with the best selection of inventory being ladies skirts, bathing suits (an entire isle!) and shirts. They don't have a designated shoe section, shoes are on top of the clothing racks so make sure you look thru the entire store. They had an abundance of Halloween décor and such out even though it's only July. The housewares are thrown together and sorted by color, but plentiful although you may need to dig a little. The dressing rooms are on both sides of the store and very spacious compared to others. 15 minute parking spots out front, and overall this store wasn't as crowded as others. Inventory is overflowing and new racks to be placed on the proper racks can't because of lack of space so those racks sit out, unorganized. Be sure to check them out as they're the most recent pieces to hit the sales floor. It does make for cramped isles however. Not perfect, but worth checking out if you're in the area anyway.

I would not recommend this location unless you want the cashier to randomly add a round up charge to your order.

TimeLine…read more In Nov of 2017, Keith decided to finally get a will based on the hospital request and personal choices because of his disability including being legally blind. The will was certified with two bankers that questioned Keith about the understandings of the will, and what his wishes where. It was Keith desire to leave me the home because of all I've done for him and his mom. So his sister knew months before he passed that the house was to be given to me. I also have proof of this via text messages, emails, and video messages. February 7th, 2018. Keith A Crabbe of 692 Euclid Ave Lancaster Passed away from struggles with diabetes. I was his power of attorney and executor listed on his will with co-executor his half-sister Cassaundra Broaddus. We weren't related by blood, however, I considered him my dad/ uncle and the day I got married he walked me down the aisle. March 2nd, 2017 I stopped by Habitat for Humanity Lancaster Location speaking with Andrew Szalay providing a copy of the death certificate for Keith Crabbe and co-owner Carolyn Broaddus his mother that passed away in March 2017 and the Will. At that time Andrew said he would be needing to meet with the board for habitat because this had never happened before where both owners were passed and because they were a nonprofit and the lien holder. At that time his recommendation would be a transfer of the original mortgage to me with the assumption of the mortgage. March 20tth 2017 I provide a copy of my bank statements, a copy of my credit report, and drivers license to Andrew. He shook my hand and thanked me stating "the debt is yours now". At the moment the balance of the mortgage was $ 16,430. I was represented by Julia Parrish of Mcmahon, winters, and Ortis and told her about the steps I would be taking to resolve this matter directly with Habitat. Please note I have a copy of all emails exchanges. However, once the board reviewed my income, they request I get a personal mortgage to take care of the balance. I agreed and went through GmHmortage located in Lancaster working with Jack Bennett. April 13th, 2018 The mortgage was approved pending Habitat agreed to transfer the mortgage in my name which they originally agreed to Per emails dated April 17-20 Then Habitat came back stating they wouldn't and the deed would need to come from the estate, at this time the co-executor started making problems. and refusing to work with me to close the estate out. I then contact Habitat about simply paying off the balance in cash and they once again said they would do it. but didn't follow through. July 2nd, 2018, I emailed Andrew again trying to take care of this mortgage and asking them to finally follow through on the settlement agreements. Which again he gave me the runaround Aug 2018 we began the process to remove Cassandra from co-executor do to her intentionally .delaying the closing process. My attorney submitted all paperwork and forward to Habitat. Oct 2018 received notice of foreclosure and requested a meeting with Habitat for Humanity and Don Hess their representing firm. They refused to meet about settling the estate. Noc 28th Finally had Cassaundra remove as co-executor on the Estate but had to wait too receive my official seals of the estate. Jan 8th, 2019 I finally received my seals from the courthouse which had been delayed due to human error. Once again we reached out to try to settle the estate. Yet they pushed for a court hearing seeking a judgment against the estate for the balance owed. Feb 2019 I requested a pay off balance, requested which I expected would be a balance of the mortgage taxes and fair legal fees associated with the estate. Thus the last emailed received before the balance requested for their legal fees were $2370 however upon balance request for payoff they where claiming legal fees of almost $10,000 which is fabricated and abuse of powers
