How does this place have such high reviews? While there's a good selection, the cupcakes are not very good. Specifically, the icing. They advertise butter cream; they taste like cream cheese icing. Not good. The 2 ladies up front were less than friendly. I was with my 2 year old son ordering a 6 pack of cupcakes. Never did I feel like my business was at all appreciated. Bad customer service to go along with a mediocre product is no bueno. Will not be back. read more

Amazing cupcakes but I was very uncomfortable with the face shield with no mask. You are just going to direct your breath and germs directly onto my food???? I will be back when it is safer. read more

I ordered cupcakes expecting them to be freshly made but turns out they make them and then freeze them! For the price you're paying for cupcakes they should be freshly baked. If I wanted frozen cupcakes I would've gone to a grocery store. Asked if I could return and was told they do not accept food returns because the package isn't "sealed". If the package isn't properly sealed when in the freezer they would not remain fresh. read more

This place is everything that you didn't wake up knowing you needed. I'd highly recommend the cupcake split. In addition to the desert being absolutely delectable the atmosphere inside is a great escape from the mundanity of the pandemic. read more

Oh my goodness... so much deliciousness in a photo! I ordered a dozen cupcakes for delivery and they were dropped off at our home 3 hours earlier than expected! THANK YOU! Strawberry champagne, lemon lush, vanilla party, red velvet, carrot cake, late night snack, cookies and cream... you cannot go wrong with any flavor, trust me! Not only beautiful but the tastiest cupcakes I've had. Will be ordering for our next birthday or get together (or just because...) read more

Spent $20 on 6 cupcakes, they were rock hard and stale. So sad, used to love this place.

This was my first and last time ordering from Lancaster cupcakes. I placed an order to be delivered to a friend at work before moving out of state and was told the delivery window would be 4 hours or less. Not only was the delivery late but when I called to check on it I got their voicemail. The cupcakes were then delivered to the wrong address, thankfully the man who did receive them was kind enough to let me know of the mistake and the address they WERE delivered. I myself had to go pick them up and take them to my friend... defeats the purpose of getting the delivered. I also paid extra to get it wrapped up with a handwritten note which was not included. I have called and emailed and still no contact back. I understand times are rough and I wanted to support a local business but this experience was extremely disappointing and not a good first impression. read more

So I wanted to help my wife today by picking up a cupcake order she was planning on getting for our daughters birthday. Not being an avid cupcake buyer I showed the screenshot on my phone to the girl at the counter, $36.00 for two dozen mini cupcakes and once I paid and left I was looking at the receipt and realized something wasn't correct, I was charged for 4 dozen cupcakes so I immediately called and turned around, she said no problem let me check with a manager and put me on hold. She came back and said sorry we can't do anything and I was almost back at the store and I can't believe they think people have the extra money to buy 36 dollars extra of cupcakes they do not want or need. Very unhappy read more

Excellent cupcakes, came here today pick up birthday cupcakes for my husband and holy cow are these the best, we've ever had!!!!

The FREE delivery offer on orders of $25+ that I received yesterday couldn't have come at a better time. While everyone is basically homebound due to COVID-19, I was able to surprise my parents on their 49th Anniversary with a beautiful (and delicious, I'm sure) cake from Lancaster Cupcake. I didn't expect that they would personalize it on such short notice, but my parents were so thrilled to receive the cake with "Happy Anniversary" written on the top. You went above and beyond to make their day special. Thanks! I can't wait to stop in and enjoy your shop in person! read more

Lancaster Cupcake - Happy Anniversary cake...a special gift for a special couple during the "Stay-at-home" order. - Cupcakes Near Me - Lancaster, Pennsylvania

I ordered the 6" cake last week for a birthday party. To my disappointed, the cake was by far the worst one I've ever ordered from any of my local cake providers, including store chains. The price was not only overly priced, it is not fresh at all: it tasted like several days' old leftover cake. I wanted to have "Happy B-Day" on the cake, but their online order didin't have that choice for customers. So I indicated so by responding to my order confirmation text. When I came to their Grant Run Dr store in Lancaster the next day, the cake was blank on top. To make things worse, the store lady was stone cold, insisting on me going back to get a mask before she would add "Happy B-Day" on my cake. read more

These cupcakes are the best. I wish they were sold via Gold Belly but, I will travel from New York to buy these cupcakes.

First time ever trying Lancaster Cupcake. Shake was good but took about 5 years to get a milkshake. They had mine done before the gentleman in front of me but did both of his drinks while mine sat there. Then asked if I was waiting for something. read more

I absolutely adore Lancaster Cupcake! They really went over and above what I expected. I had a vision for A Minion Christmas because my family and I really enjoyed the movies so I thought this would be a perfect way to incorporate them this Christmas and I was not let down! I was able to get unique flavors and my Minions with Christmas hats! Although, for their "designer cupcakes" it's a bit more pricey BUT for a special occasion like Christmas I did not mind. My cupcakes came out to about $44 but that's with my special requests bumping it up a little. Their other cupcakes though are reasonably priced and taste great! If you haven't tried them yet you're missing out! read more

I hosted my daughter's bridal shower there this past weekend and I couldn't be more pleased. Alexa and the staff were top notch from beginning to end helping with set up and clean up. The venue is so beautiful and honestly not much is needed for decor. It is perfect the way it is! Everyone commented howbeautiful it was and seeing my daughter's face and how happy she looked was the icing on the delicious cupcake!!! read more

I've been a repeat customer for years up until yesterday. I bought cupcakes and a vanilla party cake for my daughter's birthday and the cake tasted awful. I bought this same cake in March and it was perfect and tasted just like the vanilla party cupcakes. However, yesterday the icing tasted exactly like the icing from Giant except it was $40 for a tiny cake so it was unacceptable. I called Lancaster Cupcakes and advised that my cake didn't taste anything like the cupcakes and asked if the recipe changed. Also, it wasn't decorated like the picture online or like the cake I received in March (it was plain and the sprinkles were sprinkles I could get at giant). The employee on the phone just informed me that she would tell the baker and then apologized but never tried to make it right. I ended up throwing out the overly sugared icing cake. read more

Absolutely a must! A great fresh cupcake every time we stop or a dozen to go. The folks here are not only helpful but pleasant. Also we had the food truck come to our house for a graduation party and it was worth it. Thank y'all! read more

I was so exited to find this hidden gem. Absurdly fantastic cupcakes in such a fun variety of flavors. Truly top notch! The staff was friendly and the space was beautiful. I'm really looking forward to going back whenever I'm in Lancaster. read more

This Lancaster Cupcake is probably the Best place for cupcakes and drinks. The place is SUPER cozy. There is a nice couch and fire place, with several seating areas. It is well decorated, and you can have a birthday party here if you wish. My dad and I came, and we ordered some cocoa and cupcakes. The cupcakes had a nice rich flavor. The cocoa was the perfect temperature and was as creamy and nice as ever. I really hope you decide to come to Lancaster Cupcake. read more

I just received a wonderful tasty surprise delivery today from Lancaster Cupcake! A dozen of the best and delicious cupcakes we've ever had. The package they arrived in kept the cupcakes safe and great looking. The ice pack was still cold and the cupcakes were cold too. I've got to say the chocolate peanut butter ganache was to die for. And the chocolate pecan bourbon had an excellent flavor. We can't wait to share the other cupcakes. It's great that they can ship their cupcakes and share the love one cupcake at a time. read more

Not only are the cupcakes great, but the service is extraordinary! I'm visually impaired and normally go in with my wife after a Dr appt next door. I had to go by myself today but still wanted a cupcake. The staff was kind enough to read the flavors of the day to me and package them so I could easily carry them with my cane. Top notch service! read more

My favorite place in the world! You must try a salted caramel fudge cupcake split Yum!

Living 7 states away from my niece, I wanted to get her something sweet for her birthday. I looked up places around there that deliver and this place came up. My 2 star review is because of the absolute HASSLE of their website and customer service. Trying to even add a cupcake was annoying as it was moving all around, page freezing up, throwing me back to the original page. Finally got my order ready here comes the really funny part, once I put my credit card info in it said it was " square" payments, im thinking similar to paypal or some extremely useless site like that. Gave an option to delete so it wouldn't be on file with them, square NOT lancaster cupcakes. So not only was it extremely frustrating to even get the order to work but the payment isn't even direct, it is through square. Now why would lancaster cupcakes want their customers have to sign up with a whole other credit payment company and have their info saved to it? You are making baked goods, why is credit card over the phone not ok with you? Falling in line I see. Don't waste your time with this nonsense if you're ordering online or for puck up read more

Came to Lancaster for vacation and walked pasted this cute little shop not knowing it would be a life changing experience. I bought a dozen assorted cupcakes with help from the cashier (who was very friendly) . These are the most moist, sweet but not too sweet cupcakes I've ever tasted. The frosting is AMAZING!!! Im mad I'm leaving soon back home and won't be able to eat these every day for the rest of my life. read more

We absolutely love this place! My favorite cupcakes are blueberry pancake and strawberry shortcake. If neither are available, I stick with the standard, excellent, vanilla cupcake. read more

Went for kid's story time and my daughter loved it. She got to decorate her own cupcake with the owner and said it was good as it looked. Location off Manheim pike is adorable and very inviting. THANK YOU Lancaster Cupcake for making our daughter's HS graduation a special event! Our driver, Jeff, was so welcoming and friendly as we took photos with your truck for her special day. Had ordered cupcakes for my wedding back in January. They were supposed to be full size cupcakes as I paid $109 for them including tax. Running around the day of my wedding was stressful and my mom almost forgot to pick them up. When she arrived at three right before they closed she called me alarmed because she told me that instead of the full size cupcakes I ordered they were only the mini size. Someone had screwed up my order. For a company that claims to be in the wedding business it might be best not to screw up the main desert the DAY OF their wedding. I do not recommend this company for weddings in anyway shape or form. When I called to complain there were very unprofessional and very rude. Do not go with them if you're planning a wedding. They cannot be trusted to provide the right items that you originally requested. read more

WOW, my 1 star review from January is suddenly completely missing??? AGAIN, as Christmas gifts, my daughter reserved 3 seats for herself, me and her Grammy for the rainbow/unicorn cupcake decorating class. When she did make the reservation, the description DID indicate and word for word... "Reservations are required. $32 per person. Cost "INCLUDES WELCOME BEVERAGE", instruction, 4 cupcakes, and basic decorating materials." We believed and were looking forward to our "welcome beverage" which WAS indicated as being INCLUDED in the reservation! The cashier said no it is not included although again it was advertised as included and absolutely should have been honored! AGAIN, I DID post a review in January re: our DISAPPOINTMENT by NOT receiving what WAS advertised and paid for, I DID contact Lancaster Cupcake to express our DISAPPOINTMENT and NOTHING at all from anybody and now my first review is gone!!! Apparently Lancaster Cupcake does NOT care to address, honor or compensate customers' for FALSE advertising to WE, the customer, who pay for what we believe to be true and is NOT!!! read more

I have heard so many wonderful things about Lancaster Cupcake & every city I travel I try to grab a cupcake. I love about an hour and a half away from this location but it was Valentine's Day & who needed a better excuse. I ordered 6 different cupcakes online & then picked 6 more in-store. I brought them home for my boyfriend + family. I started off with a what appeared to be a funfetti cupcake with icing [no idea what the icing was] I bit into it and instantly regretted getting them. I have extremely high standards so I let my boyfriend try it without saying anything & he said it had no taste. I would have rather bought a box of Pillsbury Funfetti & made it myself. Out of the 12, I would say 3 of them were worth it including Brownie, Red Velvet & Chocolate Ganache [which is why there is 2 stars and not 1]. If you lined up all the cupcakes in a row and said taste this one to see what flavor, I would not have been able to tell the difference. Next year, I will be ordering from Georgetown. read more
