So I wanted to help my wife today by picking up a cupcake order she was planning on getting for our daughters birthday. Not being an avid cupcake buyer I showed the screenshot on my phone to the girl at the counter, $36.00 for two dozen mini cupcakes and once I paid and left I was looking at the receipt and realized something wasn't correct, I was charged for 4 dozen cupcakes so I immediately called and turned around, she said no problem let me check with a manager and put me on hold. She came back and said sorry we can't do anything and I was almost back at the store and I can't believe they think people have the extra money to buy 36 dollars extra of cupcakes they do not want or need. This was my first and last time ordering from Lancaster cupcakes. I placed an order to be delivered to a friend at work before moving out of state and was told the delivery window would be 4 hours or less. Not only was the delivery late but when I called to check on it I got their voicemail. The cupcakes were then delivered to the wrong address,thankfully the man who did receive them was kind enough to let me know of the mistake and the address they WERE delivered. I myself had to go pick them up and take them to my friend... defeats the purpose of getting the delivered. I also paid extra to get it wrapped up with a handwritten note which was not included. I have called and emailed and still no contact back. I understand times are rough and I wanted to support a local business but this experience was extremely disappointing and not a good first impression. read more

I ordered the 6" cake last week for a birthday party. To my disappointed, the cake was by far the worst one I've ever ordered from any of my local cake providers, including store chains. The price was not only overly priced, it is not fresh at all: it tasted like several days' old leftover cake. I wanted to have "Happy B-Day" on the cake, but their online order didin't have that choice for customers. So I indicated so by responding to my order confirmation text. When I came to their Grant Run Dr store in Lancaster the next day, the cake was blank on top. I absolutely adore Lancaster Cupcake! They really went over and above what I expected. I had a vision for A Minion Christmas because my family and I really enjoyed the movies so I thought this would be a perfect way to incorporate them this Christmas and I was not let down! I was able to get unique flavors and my Minions with Christmas hats! Although, for their "designer cupcakes" it's a bit more pricey BUT for a special occasion like Christmas I did not mind. My cupcakes came out to about $44 but that's with my special requests bumping it up a little. Their other cupcakes though are reasonably priced and taste great! I hosted my daughter's bridal shower there this past weekend and I couldn't be more pleased. Alexa and the staff were top notch from beginning to end helping with set up and clean up. The venue is so beautiful and honestly not much is needed for decor. It is perfect the way it is! I've been a repeat customer for years up until yesterday. I bought cupcakes and a vanilla party cake for my daughter's birthday and the cake tasted awful. I bought this same cake in March and it was perfect and tasted just like the vanilla party cupcakes. However, yesterday the icing tasted exactly like the icing from Giant except it was $40 for a tiny cake so it was unacceptable. I called Lancaster Cupcakes and advised that my cake didn't taste anything like the cupcakes and asked if the recipe changed. Also, it wasn't decorated like the picture online or like the cake I received in March (it was plain and the sprinkles were sprinkles I could get at giant). The employee on the phone just informed me that she would tell the baker and then apologized but never tried to make it right. I ended up throwing out the overly sugared icing cake. read more

This Lancaster Cupcake is probably the Best place for cupcakes and drinks. The place is SUPER cozy. There is a nice couch and fire place, with several seating areas. It is well decorated, and you can have a birthday party here if you wish. My dad and I came, and we ordered some cocoa and cupcakes. The cupcakes had a nice rich flavor. I just received a wonderful tasty surprise delivery today from Lancaster Cupcake! A dozen of the best and delicious cupcakes we've ever had. The package they arrived in kept the cupcakes safe and great looking. The ice pack was still cold and the cupcakes were cold too. I've got to say the chocolate peanut butter ganache was to die for. My 2 star review is because of the absolute HASSLE of their website and customer service. Came to Lancaster for vacation and walked pasted this cute little shop not knowing it would be a life changing experience. I bought a dozen assorted cupcakes with help from the cashier (who was very friendly) . These are the most moist, sweet but not too sweet cupcakes I've ever tasted. The frosting is AMAZING!!! Had ordered cupcakes for my wedding back in January. They were supposed to be full size cupcakes as I paid $109 for them including tax. Running around the day of my wedding was stressful and my mom almost forgot to pick them up. When she arrived at three right before they closed she called me alarmed because she told me that instead of the full size cupcakes I ordered they were only the mini size. Someone had screwed up my order. For a company that claims to be in the wedding business it might be best not to screw up the main desert the DAY OF their wedding. I do not recommend this company for weddings in anyway shape or form. When I called to complain there were very unprofessional and very rude. Do not go with them if you're planning a wedding. WOW, my 1 star review from January is suddenly completely missing??? AGAIN, as Christmas gifts, my daughter reserved 3 seats for herself, me and her Grammy for the rainbow/unicorn cupcake decorating class. When she did make the reservation, the description DID indicate and word for word... "Reservations are required. $32 per person. Cost "INCLUDES WELCOME BEVERAGE", instruction, 4 cupcakes, and basic decorating materials." We believed and were looking forward to our "welcome beverage" which WAS indicated as being INCLUDED in the reservation! The cashier said no it is not included although again it was advertised as included and absolutely should have been honored! AGAIN, I DID post a review in January re: our DISAPPOINTMENT by NOT receiving what WAS advertised and paid for, I DID contact Lancaster Cupcake to express our DISAPPOINTMENT and NOTHING at all from anybody and now my first review is gone!!! I have heard so many wonderful things about Lancaster Cupcake & every city I travel I try to grab a cupcake. I love about an hour and a half away from this location but it was Valentine's Day & who needed a better excuse. I ordered 6 different cupcakes online & then picked 6 more in-store. I brought them home for my boyfriend + family. I started off with a what appeared to be a funfetti cupcake with icing [no idea what the icing was] I bit into it and instantly regretted getting them. I have extremely high standards so I let my boyfriend try it without saying anything & he said it had no taste. I would have rather bought a box of Pillsbury Funfetti & made it myself. Out of the 12, I would say 3 of them were worth it including Brownie, Red Velvet & Chocolate Ganache [which is why there is 2 stars and not 1]. If you lined up all the cupcakes in a row and said taste this one to see what flavor, I would not have been able to tell the difference. Next year, I will be ordering from Georgetown. read more
