All of this hullabaloo stemmed from the owner, Teliee, not being able to deliver an unstained and non-defective piece of furniture that I bought under customary conditions from Soft Square. Instead of providing me with the replacement for my Soft Square furniture that was delivered damaged and delivering on the store guarantee (promised back in August) to replace it, Soft Square's owner, Teliee, refused to honor the store promise and proceeded to raise his voice and yell expletives. Teliee seems to be a misogynist and disrespected female customers in a way he would never speak to a male customer. He was verbally abusive and repeatedly said, "F*** you and get out of my store" in lieu of honoring the store guaranty. Please note that no raised voices or expletives were uttered by me or my daughter. The owner has severe anger management issues and is not fit to deal with customers. He proceeded to inform us that many pieces of furniture arrive damaged and that somehow after spending a 4-figure sum, I should be expected to deal with this defect in furniture....  Please note that even Ikea guarantees that furniture will arrive in mint condition. He spoke to us with such disrespect for female customers that I was truly shocked and disappointed. It was extremely hostile behavior and not commensurate to the environment of such a store. He tried to bully us and was verbally aggressive to coerce us to accept a less-than-suitable solution. He tried to force us to accept the cheapest and shabbiest form of repair (which likely would have resulted in a perpetually damaged item) instead of the promised replacement. He went back on the word of the store manager, which I have email evidence of. Deann, the sales representative, was condescending and berated us repeatedly. She did not listen to any of our concerns and insisted that nothing was wrong with our furniture despite previous acknowledgement of the issue. She then pretended that she never saw emails where the store manager promised a proper replacement of the damaged item. After buying from high-end furniture stores for over three decades, I suggest you take your business elsewhere. There are numerous furniture stores in the area which have great customer service not only during the sale but after as well. If you'd like to simply buy a piece, one has to hope they never deal with the owner, Teliee, or the sales representative, Deann, after the sale. This was, by far, the worst customer service and experience I have ever experienced from any store.

In a nutshell, I'm always right, he's always wrong...just in case you were wondering. That being said, we're currently selling our rental home to purchase a newer home more suitable to our needs. Furniture shopping was on the docket and I was already dreading it...much like my career choice or a splinter in my favorite finger...you know the one . He finally bribed me to accompany him with the threat he's bring home an animal print sofa, tightened up my running shoes ‍ and Forrest Gump'ed my butt right to the passenger seat. Over my dead body would it look like we sleighed our furniture on a damn safari. He walked while I lagged shortly behind muttering under my breath about the immediate dread of this process, he opened the door to Bradenton Furniture Outlet where I was ready to fight for my life to find what we needed and not have to sell my organs to do so. That's where me met the most wonderful human to deck the halls of a furniture store. He was polite, knowledgeable and wasn't chasing after us like our bill collectors. (J/k about the bill collector part, but you get the gist). We perused for all of about 15 minutes & for the first time ever we both agree on a piece...a beautiful sectional ‍‍, to adorn our home and to make permanent butt prints in. Even though it was quite literally perfect, I'm a little OCD and like to cover all bases just like a home run hitter so I wanted to shop around. We talk to Ray, get a price on a beautiful TV console with fireplace , everything just felt right. Except for the inner child telling me to shop around. We head out and walk into a competitor store and it feels ice cold , like my heart can be according to this guy beside me when he tells me my latest Goodwill find is 'weird.' We walked around, it didn't feel homey, and sales staff just didn't feel personable. Maybe they were, who knows?! I mean apparently I have RBF but when I look at myself I just don't see it! The vibe was just off. It definitely was not the kind of Sales crew that you can joke about needing a rug for your other half's body if they don't agree with you on the couch to leave with. They would've literally called 911 and sent me straight to prison ... but not Ray. He would probably joke with me and offer to help me pick one the perfect rug for the job. That's just his vibe. Ray is a solid dude, great personality, like I wanted to hand him my whole wallet and shop there all day, except we wouldn't get much from that process. Maybe a Biggie bag from Wendy's or a lightbulb out of one of their awesome lamps. His store had numerous things we loved, great prices, no haggling needed and we were well taken care of...just like that McDonald's cheeseburger meal when the hangover hits minus the grief and immediate regret. I recommend Ray & the Bradenton Furniture Outlet hands down. I like Ray more than many family members at this point, that's how great of an experience you'll have shopping there. Please check them out for lamps, a new rug after that whole body debacle, tables, bedding, all of it! Tell him Kim sent ya, he'll definitely take care of you! I wonder how many people invited him to holiday dinner this year over some of their wacky family, that's what I would've done had it not just passed!!

He made a good impression, and although we solicited multiple quotes, G&C was a frontrunner. The process involved delays in receiving answers to our questions, resulting in a considerable waste of our time. Despite Joe measuring our lanai, the written estimate included a 10-12' vent cover. After remeasuring to confirm our 9.5' ceiling height, we asked to change to the appropriate 9-10' vent cover and adjust the price accordingly. The replacement part retails for $90 less. Rather than simply revise the quote, we received an email stating that they had decided not to do business with us. Very disappointing customer service, communication, and inflexibility over what should have been a simple and reasonable adjustment.

Well, first of all that is a mislead - I think one spa was less than $4K and it was a very small one. All others were above $6K. This place is not the easiest place to find either. Okay - but they had some nice-looking spas. At this point I could have walked but I liked what I was being shown and they looked like high quality products. The gentleman was so patient with me and very knowledgeable about the product. Believe me when I tell you - this place does not believe in negotiations. The lady (Laura I think) was all about NO negotiating on price. She did throw in a handle to get in and out of the tub because I was a veteran. That was nice of her. Delivery set for 10:00 on Wednesday. All about that as we bought the spa on a Friday, and it was in stock! So Wednesday comes and 10:00 comes and goes. Call store and "yep, your spa is on the truck with another one and it is out for delivery. You might not be the first drop off point though." Okay. I can live with that. A couple hours go by and call the store, "Oh we are loading your spa now and should be at your place around 2:00" see you then! Okay, so what is the real story here? Spa finally arrives and the delivery guys did an awesome job installing it. After all the spa is heavy but they managed. Great guys!! Went to plug it in and wow no plug was sent with the tub. They called store and were told "one of the guys will come by tonight and hook it up on his way home." One of the installers said, "don't fill till he gets here because he might not make it." Boy did he get that right. Called store, "oh no, the guy that is going to drop it off is the only one that knows how to hook it up and he isn't available until tomorrow at 9:30am." So, this morning around 9:00 the person shows and hooks up plug, talks to husband about do's and don'ts and leaves. Went to plug tub in --- nope! It is a 220 not a 110!! Never told us and never tried to plug in before he left. Called store "oh well you need to get an adapter from 220 to 110 try an electrician store or Lowes." Not sure what adapter they are talking about as we called 3 different stores. Called store back "need to get a 15v T plate and then it will work" What the hell is that? You can get it at Lowes." Oh boy. Decided to call my electrician - "I will come put in a 220 line for you tomorrow." Get a call from store "we have a 110 unit that we can change out and I will give you some money back. Just let me know." Oh my - so lesson learned: a. No negotiations in this day and age is a strong indicator that you need to go to a competitor. This is a huge item to buy and they did not live up to the advertisement about price for floor models. b. Delivery terms should have been adhered to and the store employees need to talk to each other before giving out info - is there an integrity issue with this store? Who is telling the truth? c. Delivery personnel need to check to make sure all items are in the package to be delivered. d. Never leave a spa without making sure it turns on! e. The guy who offered to switch it out with a 110 only tub was making a great gesture. The spa we bought could be 110 or 220 according to Laura but they only put a 220 plug - when the person came the next day to install it. This is not a bad review but an honest one. I personally was very disappointed on how this all went down. You have to stand behind your product and take care of your customer especially when they spent a lot of money believing in you. The spas are beautiful, and they are competitively priced (without the so-called sale) but the employees need to follow through until the spa is fully operational. Would I buy from them again? I don't know. If I wasn't excited about having the spa maybe. But they took my excitement and turned it into disappointment. There were no misunderstandings. it was pure lack of follow thru.

The salesman, David Moffatt, said not to worry; we can hold the items and deliver them for free when you are ready to receive them. The delivery was white glove, and the men were wonderful. I later had some trouble with the bar stools, so I spoke to Mr Moffatt, who talked with Bob in the warehouse about going to my home to fix the stools, which Bob did. It was an easy fix with me as a happy customer. I can't say enough about this wonderful store that gives great personal customer service. Oh, before I forget to mention, they have a great showroom with beautiful light fixtures, fans, furniture, and home decor. Lyteworks is a good find, so go check it out!
