I was recommended this office by a co-worker who has been a patient of Dr. Arya for many years. I booked an appointment and was pleasantly surprised that I felt totally at ease and comfortable as soon as I entered the office. The staff was very receptive and meeting Dr Arya was a pleasure. Neither was I in pain. They allow - even encourage - nervous patients (like me!) to listen to music through earbuds, which really helps! I even got a text from Dr Cam that evening making sure I was bearing up ok with the pain (root canal). I guess cost is always an issue with dental work, so I would be remiss to not mention it: I believe their costs are pretty much at market rates, and they have worked well (and directly) with our health insurance company. They do top notch work here -- from the reception desk to the nice heated face wipe at the end of your procedure. I would highly recommend this dentist to anyone.

Any time I'm there in person or I call everyone is friendly and it makes for a really positive experience. In terms of skill, it seems like Dr. Shoff knows exactly what he's doing. And while I'm treatment my regular dentist was involved and behind the scenes they discuss my treatment. When I'm there for an appointment it doesn't matter which assistant I get because they're all awesome! I usually have questions because I'm a curious person and they can answer my questions or they write down the question to ask Dr. Shoff if it's beyond their scope. The awesome thing is that now that I'm done treatment I can still go back. For example, I got a filling on a tooth and my retainer didn't fit right. I was able to make an appointment and get new impressions done and a week later (only because that's how my schedule worked out) I got my new retainers. I highly recommend Dr. Shoff if you're looking into braces! Like I said, he is awesome!

Here are some of the things I like about Dr. Schmidt's office: +All the staff, including Dr. Schmidts, are very friendly. +It is expensive (as it is an orthodontic treatment), but they are pretty transparent about the fees. +They give you a discount if you pay in full (instead of installment). I got a 5% discount for paying cash upfront. As it costs several thousand dollars, 5% actually means something. +Dr. Schmidt's office is across the street/parking lot from my son's dentist, Dr. Piper, which is pretty convenient. When my son has a cleaning appointment at Dr. Piper's office, he goes to Dr. Schmidt's office to take off the wires first. After cleaning at Dr. Piper's office, he goes back to Dr. Schmidt's office to have the wires put back in! I'm pretty happy with all the services they have provided. Customer service is not what it used to be unfortunately and even though the dentist who has helped me over many years is still there, they're not as accommodating as they once were. It's a shame and for me it means finding a new dentist unfortunately.
