Tina answered, I explained that I wasn't sure what was wrong but that I thought it was because the vent or ducts were clogged. Before I could explain further, she abruptly cut me off and told me "they'd come take a look and take care of what was wrong." I, again, mentioned that I thought it was a clogged vent...she cut me off and asked to just arrange a service call. I did that. When the guy showed up at the house, my wife let him know we thought it was a clogged vent or duct. He looked it over and explained that they didn't do vent or duct cleaning. And left. And left a bill for $70. I got a few calls from them, trying to get the bill paid, I called back and talked to someone about what happened. I began to explain, but he, too, kept cutting me off. "I'm not saying you're wrong about what was said, but Tina has been doing this for more than 20 years and she knows we don't do duct work, we don't have the equipment." I mentioned that we then had the ducts cleaned and the machine still didn't work, didn't heat at all, and that the service tech didn't find that problem, just seemed to call it a day after finding out the vent and ducts were probably cleaned. But he did wisely advise, "Better get your ducts cleaned." Thanks a lot, dude. I attempted to explain, to the man on the phone in the office, that the only reason I called them was that I thought it was clogged vents or ducts...the guy at the office cut me off, again, "Listen, you need to realize that here in Michigan..." and went on to lecture me about clogged vents and ducts and was so incredibly patronizing I was fuming, but quiet. He told me he would "eat the coat of the service call." I politely thanked him and hung up, just glad to be done with these people. Maybe they can do great work, maybe not. But their customer service and the performance on site for us was awful. I wish I could rank in negative stars. It was humiliating to be treated that way and the way he talked down to me was astonishing. Lots of choices out there, folks, choose wisely.

Having moved from New York, I was accustomed to wooden floors and using Swiffers to get the job…read moredone. Now transplanting to the suburbs and dealing with a multi-level carpeted home, it was time to make an investment in a quality vacuum. The biggest dilemma is my long hair which sheds all over the place. I tried vacuuming with the current Dyson multi-floor vacuum and after about 10 minutes, the roller was completely mangled and I had to take it apart. Frustration. I needed something that was strong and durable, perhaps a pet vacuum. I went into A Sweeper Store and was greeted by the owner, Adam who was very friendly and informative. He did an entertaining demo showing me the differences in the various vacuums on the market. I was impressed and sold on the Simplicity Fetch. It was powerful and picked up the remnants that the Dyson left behind. I was also drawn to its gleaming electric green color. Jason and Justin were also very professional and helpful in prepping my new vacuum for me. Coming from a big city, it was refreshing to see such attentiveness. A friend of mine took my microwave to get fixed., The warranty was about to expire and we had to…read moresearch for places that would honor or warranty and Babcocks APPLIANCE WAS ONE IN OUR AREAS. WELL.... was it.NOOOO WE HAD TO DRIVE 45 MINUTES TO GET THERE AND WE CALLED FIRST AND EXPLAINED THE SITUATION BEFORE DRIVING THERE. She took the microwave to them, and they didn't even assess it. They just told her they would put in a call to their dept. that "handled this" and they would call us back and let us know if they were going to fix it or replace it. The guy said that 99% of the time they just replace it with a new one. We told him that the warranty was about to expire so we needed some type of answer within a couple weeiks AT MOST. They told my friend that there wouldn't be a problem and he would ensure their dept. that this work order was put in prior to the expiration date. I have tried calling them at this number 517-484-8100 for THREE DAYS NOW, no one answers not even an answering machine. All it does after ringing 20 times a voice comes on and says "enter your remote access code". I'm tired of this because knowing how they handle a customer whose warranty is avbout to expire tells me a lot about the business. CHANCES ARE HE NEVER PUT THE WORK ORDER IN AND OUR Warranty expired and they have blocked our number. well i'm CALLING AND WRITING THE BBB AND CONSUMER COMPLAINTS AS WELL AS ENTER THIS REVIEW ON EVERY SOCIAL PLATFORM I BELONG TO.
