Very helpful staff. Great products. When we had an integrated LED light that didn't work on our fan, they gave us new parts and even tested it before we took it home. Now that's great service! read more

Nonexistent customer service. We went to Lamps Plus because we wanted to buy two ceilings fan for our house. We were looking at the fans and the salesperson at the counter made no effort to help us (vibe was that our business was unwanted). Spending $500-600 on two fans and not even being acknowledged was enough to shop somewhere where we can buy fans at a more competitively lower price and receive decent customer service. read more

After a very frustrating experience at Home Depot, I came in to ask for some advice on fixing up an antique chandelier. Marco came out to help me, and at first he was very willing to give me advice on how to rewire it, eventually he said he could do it for me and boy am I glad I let him. I couldn't be happier with my experience here and especially for a skilled technician like Marco. He got my chandelier in working order, so I could pretty it up and hang it in my dining room. Thank you!! read more

We recentlu bought 2 floor lamps from Jennifer S at the Oceanside location on Vista Way. She was amazing - not only did she help us with all the little details she went above and beyond. we ended up paying the floor model price for a brand new one because she discovered when boxing it up that the floor model did not meet her standards for quality due it having some scratches and loose parts. Also she is really upbeat and passionate about her job and being of service - a breath of fresh air in today's beleaguered workforce. excellent customer service. read more

I came here with an obvious mission, it was indeed time to purchase a lamp. There was a pretty good sale going on. It was busy when I arrived, so I had to wait a while to get service. The selection was really good; they had a lot of different looks and I was pretty able to navigate the shop by myself. It is a good place to go for selection. In my opinion it is a bit pricey. But I found something pretty and I will enjoy seeing what I selected. read more

I found exactly what I was looking for: a beautiful new Tiffany lamp for the office. There was a wide variety on display and the staff were helpful and found additional options online for my choosing. The price was comparable to what I found on Amazon without the worry of having a broken glass globe being shipped. I'm a satisfied customer. read more

The sales person was rude, the store manager worse! They told us they processed a credit for returned items that was never credited. I needed 8 exterior lights for a renovation, Lamps Plus was almost sold out of the light I was interested in, re-order was to come in months later. Well I really wanted/needed those lights ASAP, so Pal, the store manager immediately offered to contact other locations with remaining stock and get the lights shipped to me. Within a week, I had all 8 lights! Absolutely amazing service, Pal was super professional, very kind and personable. He's a great asset to Lamps Plus. To all the members of the team that helped get these lights out quickly, Thank you. The electricians were at my house to fix an electrical problem I was having with my ceiling fan using the remote. After performing some testing, they told me my ceiling fan was defective. I doubted that and I also knew I had the correct remote. I couldn't find the fan paperwork to review the specs versus the current wiring so I called Lamps Plus even though it was 10 minutes before they opened, but Pal Walia , the manager, answered and immediately went into action. He looked up my purchase of almost a year ago, found the model and then he spoke with my electricians while I experienced excellent customer service in action! Turned out, the fan had been wired incorrectly. Wish I could give Pal Walia 10 stars ! Thank you so much ! read more

Last Saturday my husband and I irritatedly returned a set of side tables we had ordered from the Oceanside store which were impossible for us to assemble due to our age and physical problems. We were greeted the moment we walked into the store by Jennifer, who wished us a good day. We explained the situation to Pal, the manager, who immediately apologized and directed one of his employees to assemble the tables for us at no charge. He turned two grouchy old people into happy customers who will recommend the store and it's cheerful and helpful staff to anyone. read more

Love their selection, they have beautiful lamps but their customer service is not very good. I walked in with my 2 kids and husband ready to buy a lamp and no one acknowledged us. We walked around the store and we never got a "hi" "welcome" or "do you need help?". I think you have to look like you have money In order for them to acknowledge you and willingly help you without you having to ask for help. Very disappointed, that's why they got 2 stars. read more

love the store .. pal helped us to choose the chandeliers. thanks

I moved to Oceanside eight years ago and needed new lighting for my home. Christy has always provided me with outstanding knowledge for lighting my home inside and out. I have also purchased very comfortable chairs for reading there too for a reasonable price. Today the base on one of my five pole lamps completely came apart. The same day I took the lamp to Christy for her advice and she showed Ed the repair technician. Ed was able to remove and replace the bases within 30 minutes. This is service and my gratitude goes to Christy and Ed for service beyond expectation. read more

I was early and the store was still 20 minutes from opening. Christy the Lighting Consultant was on her way in and saw I didn't know the hours of the store as I pulled on the locked door. She's a real professional and the entire crew down there own that place. Nice Christy! Regards Tim read more

Went on the website and scheduled an in home consultation. Pal came and all my worries were solved. He went in to each room and had ideas for our lighting needs. We met him at the store the next week and he helped us pick new fans and lights. My husband was worried he would try to "up-sale" us once we arrived at the store. It was not the case. He saved us tons of money and even guided us to less expensive items. We also used their installation service. The installers were amazing and even cleaned up after the installation. The cost was extremely reasonable when you add up we had five new fans, recessed lighting, track lighting, and a new light for the entry way. Pal even helped us match the new family room light to our entry light. Because of the great service, I am finishing up by some more lighting. Every time I call, if Pal isn't available someone is willing to help. I was extremely pleased with the process. read more

Knowledgable and helpful staff. My husband and I visited the store two days in a row and were quickly helped within a minute or two. We wanted to dramatically increase the lumens in our dining room for reading purposes. Jonathan recommended a Torchiere styled floor lamp with higher lumen LED bulbs. We appreciated that he showed us affordable lamps and never tried to upsell us. He also steered us away from non-LED compatible lamps that may be hard to find bulbs for in the future. We ended up purchasing six 1600 lumen Tesler (Lamps PLUS brand) LED warm white bulbs and a heavily discounted beautiful $199.99 to $49.99(!!!) lamp. Their 1 year warranty on lamps and light bulbs gave us peace of mind. After trying the LED lights, we realized that the warm light ~3200K bulbs clashed with our existing 5000K bulbs. The floor lamp brightened the dining room, but we also wanted to replace our ceiling light with one that could take more than 2 bulbs. We returned the next day and were helped by Mash and Jonathan. Mash's thorough knowledge of the lights lead us to the perfect ceiling light for our 9 foot ceiling that took 4 100W bulbs (Griffin Collection Antique Nickel 21" Wide Ceiling Light). The price was listed as $279.99 online, but the store sale took it down to $134.99! I am SO glad we decided to visit the store instead of shopping online. The lamp was easy enough to install and it is GORGEOUS!!! Our dining room looks completely different due the added 4800 lumens (Four 100W LED 1600 lumen 5000K daylights from Sylvania) and the new beautiful ceiling centerpiece. One note is that the store does not carry LED daylight bulbs, so we ended up going to Lowes for our specific daylight LED high lumen output lightbulb. To be fair, most people want warm lighting around the house for a roomier, cozier, and less harsh feel. We love daylight because we do a ton of reading at the dining table and it brings out the cool colors in our walls. The return process for the 6 warm white bulbs was pain-free and we received store credit toward the purchase of the new ceiling light. All in all, we were pleasantly surprised with the low-pressure store environment and the knowledgeable and helpful staff. We will return in the future when we want to upgrade or add other light fixtures. read more

Very pleased with the service I received. I worked with Mr. Walia at the Oceanside store and he was extremely helpful with my order. I purchased pendant lights and 3 ceiling fans. Mr. Walia provided me with so much information regarding my purchases that I never would have figured out on my own had I purchased them online. I had a problem with one piece of my order and he was quick at getting the replacement. One of the fans I purchased is a 60" Minka Aire Tear ceiling fan. This is the biggest joke of a lighting store. I came in looking to buy sockets for a chandelier. You would think a lighting store would have parts for lights. Turns out they really don't sell parts for lights at all just overpriced bulbs and fixtures at twice the price of Home Depot. And it's all the same stuff. This store makes no sense. read more

Not happy with a service. We stopped on Monday to ask them to order a fan for us. They weren't sure whether the fan was available and promised to call us back.. Never called back. We stopped next week and after standing in line for 20 minutes we asked them why they didn't call. They had nothing to say, but promised to call and email this time. Again, after several days, still nothing. This time I called and was told other customers are more important and I need to wait. After talking to sales person (James), I was promised an email within 10 minutes. After around 30 mins email finally arrived and they said they can order a fan. When I called back (and responded to email) to order, same wait and run-around and nobody is interested in taking an order. I gave up this place and ordered the same fan down the street at the smaller store. Besides being cheaper, I had fan in 2 days at my door. Never again I'll shop at Lamps Plus. read more

I called main number and they connected me to store nearest me (Oceanside). I recently moved into a new home in San Elijo and wanted to get a consultation on lighting for my dinning room. Made an appointment and then received a phone call late evening before that sales person could not make it, completely through my schedule off. I then changed appointment and sales person shows up with 2 catalogs, that I all-ready have, no ipad or anything to show me products. I felt like she was there to size us up, she never followed up after 3 weeks passed. read more

I am very, very happy with Lamps Plus! We have been buying from them since 2003 here in Oceanside and before that in L.A. and I've never had a problem. I find their merchandise to be of xln't quality and very attractive. The store is lively, bright and beautifully lit, so it makes it a pleasure to walk in and shop. Their variety of mdse. is astounding - from furniture to lighting to various decor items. They have really expanded what they offer for sale over the years. Our home decor is quite "modern/contemporary" so their furnishings and lights work great for us as they also offer that kind in addition to the more traditional looks. I was prompted to write a review here (and shame on me for not doing so sooner) due to an interaction I had with the mgr. of the store, Pal. I had, for the first time, a small issue with a previous purchase and it had been "gnawing" on me because it was slightly over the guarantee return window. I decided to call and speak to the mgr., who happens to be Pal. After explaining my issue, he was so gracious and professional and didn't hesitate to remedy my situation ... and I am delighted. It seems seldom now that a store stands behind their merchandise or is willing to bend over backwards to make a customer happy. This says a lot about Lamps Plus and should put anyone's mind at ease when making a purchase. They clearly want a HAPPY customer - they don't turn their back on you when you walk out of the store. Good job ... and a pleasure to buy from your store!! Thank you. read more
