Lamps Plus - Home Decor Near Me - Los Angeles, California

I've been buying at this location for over a decade since I renovated my first home in Jan 2015. I've never met Ms. Ada (wears glasses), but I walked in this morning simply to ask for help to order something online. I understand they couldn't do it, and that's fine, but the rude and snappy tone was insanely uncalled for. She also made up a LIE that a previous worker I asked for and worked with just 2 years ago hadn't been there for "over 20 years", when she herself has only been working there for 10years. She did this in front of multiple people, which is so unprofessional. I'm not sure what kind of morning she had but it was uncalled for and the most ridiculous customer service I've ever experienced. This encounter will be the end of my visits to Lamp Plus. I hope it was worth it. read more

Thank you Ada for always being so helpful. I so value your knowledge and kindness. Couldn't do it without you Very Sincerely read more

Their old lamp base fell apart , but I had it for quite a few years, The regional manager gave me a new, on that is working fine now for 5 years. read more

Mercury Retrograde, an astrological (as opposed to an astronomy) phenomenon occurs about three times each year. Mercury, the messenger god goes on hiatus causing everything from tech glitches, miscommunication, travel delays, fender benders, large or small equipment breakdowns and in at least my case, a barrage of Yelp update posts which I generally do my best to keep to a minimum as the TOS states the update must reflect a new experience. OK, here's my new experience. (OK. I'm saying that a lot lately influenced by SNL's Pete Davidson's acquiescing, OK's.) So, OK, way back in 2016 Lamps Plus is where hubby and I sourced lighting needs for our condo renovation. Five star happy with all of our purchases until 2018 the awesome kitchen LED track lighting, the fixture that dimmed to a subtle night light when switched off, died. I kept hitting the switch, praying it was just the switch. OK the lights would, for a split second, work then go dark. Our electrician confirmed it was fixture malfunction. Not OK. OK, so since fixture warranty was only one year and it had now been two, hubby and I bit the bullet, consoling ourselves that we bought that fixture at a bargain price, rushed to Lamps Plus with high hope that we could replace the exact track lighting cuz we both loved it and its night light feature. No way, not OK. BUT found another, minus the night light dimmer, paid a tad more, our electrician installed and for the last two years we came to rely on its illumination. OK. 2020. You guessed it, that replacement LED fixture we'd bonded with, depended on, now out of warranty, bit the dust just as its predecessor did; same symptoms, electrician again confirmed need for replacement. OK, so back to Lamps Plus, dead fixture in hand again with great expectation this fixture could be replaced with an identical one. Not OK, no such thing. But what was OK was being immediately greeted and efficiently assisted. Hubby wanted a replacement made anywhere than where the previous fixtures were made, not possible, so while he wandered about the store I worked with our knowledgeable, upbeat lighting consultant and chose the brightest LED fixture on display. Hubby wasn't convinced it would be enough light, would throw shadows on counter work surfaces. I disagreed cuz my I can hang art without measuring intuition transitioned to lighting said so. Fixture wasn't in stock but was shipped free directly to us in less than 48-hours. I gave our lighting consultant a glowing (pun intended) review in the Lamps Plus e-mail survey. Once installed, new fixture is indeed bright if not blinding, so OK, I was right. Five Stars to me!!! Five Stars for Lamps Plus service (staff even recycled our dead fixture)! Minus one star for lack of product reliability, longevity therefore a distinct possibility we'll be back during one of 2022's Mercury retrogrades to once again replace this then out of warranty fixture... read more

Ask for FRED!!! That's it... and he will expertly guide you in the right direction. We were shopping at HD Buttercup during their semi-annual sale & fell in love with a Light for our home office. It was $3,500 and although we came close - we couldn't justify it. My husband suggested we stop into Lamps Plus and discovered they were having a January sale. We were immediately greeted by Fred who was super friendly. I told him our problem - poor lighting with only one light source in our home office. Fred said he knew exactly what we needed and lead me right to a lamp EXACTLY like the one from HD Buttercup! The price? $499.99. You know how it goes... once you get started with home renovations you can't stop! Over the next few weeks we stopped in to see Fred FOUR more times for additional lamps. Each time he knew exactly what we needed & provided excellent, professional & efficient service. We got: Master bathroom $99.99 Guest bathroom $99.99 Guest bedroom $199.99 Hallway $149.99 As you can see we bought 5 lamps for 1/3 of the price of what we almost spent! Fred doesn't try to rip you off or sell you the most expensive lamps. He is super informative & gives tons of useful tips about light bulbs to use, how to create mood or brighten a room. Lamps plus has a ton of lighting. It's important to have a good eye, a friend with one or bring a pic of the room & ask for Fred! read more

Kudos to Alex, Ada and Maurice - we previously bought a five light fixture from LP. A single glass lens/shade broke and we hoped to find a replacement for the one light. Voila! The dream team managed to find a replacement - not easy - and gave it to us! No charge. Hard to improve on FREE. Thanks guys for the great service. The go-to place for your lighting needs. PS - I should add the fixture was purchased six years ago! read more

selection was just okay for me. I was mostly looking for bathroom vanities and more unique entry way lighting. I did buy a beautiful lamp. Richard was awesome!!! he was helpful, answered all my questions, checked me out when the sales associate kinda just disappeared for like 10 minutes and loaded it into my car. associates we're kind and helpful. read more

The staff were very helpful and made my shopping trip more efficient. I was interested in finding incandescent table lamps and a crystal chandelier. I told them the style of lamps I was looking for and also showed them a picture of my table and they recommended some great options. I decided to go with one of their suggestions. They didn't have the crystal chandelier I was looking for in store and I was hoping they did. I'll have to order it from their site which hopefully looks just as nice in person. read more

We went to exchange something we bought from the website and we were helped by Robert who was incredibly attentive to our needs. He took all the time in the world to make the trade easy and to show us various new items. We could not expect for a kinder service and transaction. Thank you so very much! read more

We are loyal clients because of the great selection and customer service. Store manager, Robert Hamilton went beyond what we expected. Pramod is knowledgeable and professional. Very friendly staffs Quick assistance I was in and out in 20 mins and happy with my purchase. Love the selections and decoration, especially those orchids lol. There's a cluster of study lamps, which was what I looking for, and I got a good deal. Thanks read more

I went in on 11.22.22 to find out why my lamp that I bought there about 6 mos ago just pooped out. A nice gal by the name of Ada greeted me and plugged it in to see what the problem was. It flickered and was not going to recover. Ada explained that these lamps have a year warranty and a nice Dave Wong went to the back and brought out a fresh lamp n/c. This was really a nice experience in this store, and the team members I mentioned are the reason I will go out of my way to shop here again. I was treated respectfully, and kindly with a smile. Thank You. Donna read more

Today I went into lamps plus on Bundy to buy two lampshades. The manager (I'm so sorry I forgot your name) helped me. The ones they had were too expensive for my budget for this situation. He suggested other sources where I could possibly get the lampshades in my price range. He didn't have to do that! He was so nice, so helpful. I will be going back to that store!! Thank you for awesome service! read more

We had such a great experience here with Mikaela! She was very pleasant and super knowledgeable about the products. I can't recommend her enough. She is very patient and has great taste and can help you find what you're looking for. Thanks Mikaela! read more

The phone and in~store customer service from Kia the sales person was extremely helpful. Kia was very knowledgeable with their products. The light fixtures I selected works very well and their pricing is very competitive. I had so many choices to choose from. Also Aida provided excellent phone customer service. I recommend Lamps Plus on S. Bundy Drive in West Los Angeles. read more

I have found some nice lamps here in the past. However, the last time I came here looking for something specific as a replacement for another light fixture that no longer worked. The selection in the store was very limited. I did find the customer service to be good and my sales rep was informative but he didn't have much to offer me. I also like that they have a free parking lot. They also have a rewards program (always a plus). read more

The team there helped me huge when one of the chandeliers that I ordered for an event got held up by the mail. They gave me a floor model and saved the day. Highly recommend. read more

Purchased 4 Possini exterior lights, good quality on inspection. One pane break and customer service quickly sent out a replacement.

This is such a mish-mosh store. There are some fabulous things, some good things, some mediocre things, and some really crappy things. And the prices are all over the place. I saw a chandalier for $6,000 (yes, that's right, six thousand dollars... at Lamps Plus!!!), but I had seen almost the same one for $3,000 down at L.A. Mart design center. You really need to do your due diligence on the prices. But on the low end, they have very good deals. There is a nice selection of reproduction craftsman-type lamps, and every once in a while there is a nice hanging lamp, hidden in between a million other hanging lamps. I have been in a mood for girly chandaliers, so I was scoping those out for the bedroom. The sales people are very nice and very helpful. I have also been looking for a moorish-looking chandalier but no luck here. They share parking with Osh home/outdoor store, not bad, right on Bundy Drive a block north of Olympic. read more

The store in Chatsworth is outstanding. I can not say enough about their service.!!!!

Thank you Ada for troubleshooting with me. Lamps Plus went out of their way to support my unique concern.

I had a huge order--close to $5,000-of lights I let my architect talk me into buying . I had the lights installed and hated them once they were hanging from the ceiling. I had them taken down, repacked and returned them to Lamps Plus, fully expecting some kind of penalty or restocking charge. Instead, they graciously accepted them all back with a full refund. They could not have been nicer. I was shocked. I will never look for lighting anywhere else! read more

I had an excellent retail experience here. I had considered buying my lamps on amazon, but wnated to see some of them in person. I decided to come in, and they have a huge selection to choose from. I feel everyone here was super helpful, the customer service was great. Eveything was reasonably priced too. I'm sure I'll be coming back here again read more

My go-to place for lighting! They have recliners too. Bob is so helpful and nice. Check it out for yourself.

The store fostered one of my new best friend relationships. So A plus. Kudos for creating such a mode. A vibe. I guess that's what good lighting can do. read more

Robert was incredibly helpful and had so much important insight. Lamps plus has a great selection and an awesome sale but the choices can be daunting when you don't have expertise. Robert's understanding with details when choosing our bedroom ceiling fan was great! We are going to ask for him again when we choose our dining room and bathroom lights. He was kind and proactive but not a pushy salesperson either. He wanted to help us make the best decision with our timing. read more

All I can say is wow . Fred was the most helpful and polite salesman I've ever experienced. I forgot how great it feels to be in the store being helped by humans that care. We found multiple things that we needed, and he went above and beyond to source additional items that were not in stock , in a time frame we needed. Thank you Fred! read more

Great, attentive service. Widest selection. Pretty much the only chain you can go to for any interior or exterior lighting needs. Much more broad selection than a hardware store also. Fred was our sales guy and he was very helpful and cordial. Labor Day saw pricing was great too. Offered us a 1 year replacement warranty on the specialty bulbs they sell, which is nice. read more

We ordered a lamp online. Didn't fit our decor. Returned it. No problem. Stayed to look around as there is much to see and found another lamp. Since it didn't come with the shade we wanted we purchased one separately. Louche helped us and was very nice. The purchase was delivered two days later. Talk about good service. Unfortunately, this lamp didn't work either. We kept the shade and it works rather well with our own lamp. Needless to say , my husband was happy that I'm happy. We returned the second lamp today. No problem. Mikaela was at the front desk. Paid attention to us immediately. Took care of the return in a speedy manner. Always with a smile. Again, wonderful customer service!!! read more

We had an excellent experience with Fred and Jeff today. Fred went out of his way to ensure we found the perfect light fixture for our island. Excellent selection and excellent service! Bob was gracious and knowledgeable.

Fred did an amazing job helping us out -- attentive but gave us space to make decisions. We left with 2 fans and 3 light fixtures!

Run, don't walk, if you need to buy a lamp and ask for Mikaela Thompson. She is very knowledgeable about the products; their computer system and she helped me figure out exactly which lamp I needed. A delightful person and super helpful. I ended up with the Possini Euro Meridian Light Blaster Black and Brass Torchiere lamp. I walked in to the store yesterday, ordered it and it arrived on my doorstep today! Very simple, elegant, great light and easy to assemble. Hooray Lamps Plus and hold on to Mikaela! read more

A GREAT EXPERIENCE WITH MIKAELA I knew the lamp I wanted and wanted someone to just help me complete the deal! What a lovely surprise and luck to have Mikaela greet me as soon as I walked in. She helped me locate the lamp, which had moved, and even made using my coupon so easy. She is so professional, knowledgeable and genuinely friendly. I feel even more important then the front end of a transaction is the back end. She has given me confidence that if there is an issue she will be my "liaison".
