Was beyond elated to know it hasn't changed at all. However he did let me know the Annapurna region now has roads and traffic going to and from. I remember a warm climate trail loop thru Villages, staying in little lodges, eating what the locals prepared. The jewelry especially the turquoise stone and orange coral necklaces with the medallion brought me right back. The chiefs wife in Nam Boche wore that exact necklace. He carries cool earrings and cool charms of the Nepali Namaste symbol. It was so neat seeing everything he had as I remember people walking around in those clothes, jewels and all the Buddha and Hindi type decor. He said he flies and buys directly instead or having people ship him stuff. So that he can choose quality and style of items he wants for accuracy. It's a beautiful shop, if you've visited India or Nepal, you will love it. I'm glad to see other reviews of people that enjoy this unique shop as you won't find these items unless you are in that part of the world. I especially loved the really old shaman drum he had, the cool sound bowls, beaded bracelets. I really wanted the little symbols! They had drum circles in the town I lived in before but I don't have a tribe or circle yet here on easy coast. But I know where he is when I'm ready !

The woman said she would check and then walked away and continued helping everyone else in the store but avoided us even as we stood by the couch we wanted to buy...was extremely awkward and very off putting. We won't be back to this place and I would go as far as to suggest if you're not a middle aged or elderly white woman then don't shop here because your business won't be appreciated or welcomed.

It is not only a consignment shop, but it's also a brand new furniture store. And they have quality furniture at a heavily discounted price. Their customer service is spot on. They delivered a king sized bed, 2 dressers, a dining room table and 3 leather chairs on time and were very careful of my newly refinished hardwood floors. They are very skilled at what they do. I don't know if that makes Chatsworth large or small by antique shop standards (I'm not much of an antiquer), but I can say it would be an extremely large closet by closet standards. Given its closety proportions, this isn't a furniture-rich antiquing experience. No room for that here. What they do have in large amounts is little things: interesting tea services, bakelite jewelry, and one of the best-curated collections of art I've seen outside of a major city. And cheap!! I feel like whoever curates this collection buys pieces on their merits, not necessarily on some fancy provenance, so you can get some great art at an obscenely low price...if you're looking for art for art's sake. I've gotten lost in this store for hours, rifling through paintings, picking up things and putting them down, chatting up the manager. They're not averse to cutting you a little deal here and there. They're smart about their merchandise Sure, ok, the venue itself is threadbare, and busting to the seams with antique tchotchkes. Ignore that for a moment, and think of the prices you'd pay for the same treasures in a big city, with a better-designed environment. This store rocks--that's all there is to it. I'd give it 5 stars, but I'm not enough of an antique expert to know how it compares on the local market for people who really geek out on this stuff. I think 4 stars is reasonable, fair, and defensible by any standard.
