I noticed that they were all selling the same products. I wanted a nicer suit that would fit most occasions -- a suit that was modern and comfortable. I searched locally and found Gentlemen's Gallery Principessa in downtown Asheville. Allen, the owner, was incredibly helpful, friendly, and funny. He showed me my options, made some measurements, and had the suit ready for me to try on in three days. Some quick final alterations and I had my suit. The quality is outstanding - comfortable, perfect fit, and a modern classic. I could not be more pleased with my experience. Allen is a pro, and Asheville is lucky to have him and his wonderful business, Gentlemen's Gallery Principessa.

The groom also had to leave his top button on his shirt unfastened, his tie was basically chocking him. ALL of the groomsmen had different issues with different things such as shirt too small, shirt to big, suspenders would not stay clipped to the pants, suspenders to big, pants to short. The two that had shirts to small had to drive 1 hour going and coming the day of the weddIng to get a shirt that would fit. One was given one that had a stain on it. I don't know how you measure people and mess up this bad. I do not recommend them at all. Grooms attire was $240 to rent and groomsmens were $200 because they did not wear jacket. Only suspenders. I expected better from Mitchel's Tuxedos than this . Never again.

You can either park on the street or park in one of the structures or lots nearby. We parked in the structure across the street and walked to all of the shops in the area. The shop is well-curated with unique pieces from a variety of eras and different styles. Everything is arranged by color and item type on the racks. The tags try to include the era for the piece, any damage present, and the price. There was a long pleated tartan skirt with a contrast color tartan on the inside of the pleats that I tried on for laughs. It was beautifully made, but the length was not for me and the price was a little high for my liking. Still, it was fun trying it on and seeing the other items available in the shop. There are a few men's items up front, but it mostly sells women's vintage clothing and accessories. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. I'd consider stopping by again to see what was new.

I've walked by Posies for Lulu a countless amount of times while wandering around downtown…read more While killing sometime waiting for my beautiful wife this past weekend I stumbled in to this delightful boutique. There's something super charming about this space. I was surprised by how open and spacious it is. Tall ceilings and massive windows make this spot quite a breath of fresh air rather than the typical stuffy feeling you can experience at a vintage store. Mentioning vintage stores, I find that there's often a lack of choices for men, but whoever is doing the buying for this shop is definitely dedicated to making sure there's a generous selection of stuff for the gents. There was an ample amount of things for me to rifle through, and a great distraction! I found an absolutely awesome blazer, and a number of vintage belt buckles that are going to be making their way on to my last minute Christmas list. Oh yes! Accessories. Chotskies. How do you spell chotskies? I have no idea... but this shop has a large variety of them. Interesting little objects from eras passed. Prices seem fair... the items are of an excellent quality, and everything seems like it's curated. Almost a sort of gallery feel. Although it took me years to actually walk into this place, I have a feeling I'll be visiting it again more often in the future.

Some of the pieces run small and others fit just about true size. (Women have hips for a reason....mmmkay?) There was a great sale going on at the time. I snagged a terrific dress for $20 that fits perfectly. And I got some jewelry for super cheap. Like $7 for earrings and $14 for a necklace, and that's at full price. That's what I mean by cheap!. OMG. If you look anywhere else you will literally pay double. I'm a sucker for fashion jewelry so the bauble bar is the first place I look at in any boutique..and these price points are a serious draw. What would make this place even better is ..a couple things..but we can start with more accessories. There really wasn't much to choose from. The wannabe hobo bags were cute but cheaply made. There were some tights but it was altogether slim pickings. I'd also like to see better signage and more refinement of the dressing rooms. They remind me of 'cabines' in France or - better yet - some turn of the century seabathing beach changing rooms. Actually not a bad idea for this store. But let's tune it up a bit. How about adding a lot more lighting and giving it an all-in cheery beachy feel. Customer service is great. They gave me a 15% coupon for regular priced items. They don't take Discover.

Since I am definitely on the lower end of the income spectrum of those who peruse this store, I didn't spend a ton of time looking at the Biltmore-stamped or "inspired" clothing items. Instead I found a jar of pumpkin butter to bring back for a friend as a souvenir as well as a lovely Biltmore shot glass for a friend that collects shot glasses but also is a realtor, so the picture of America's Largest House was naturally a big hit when I brought it home!
