I have done multiple leases through these guys with good experiences. Just recently, I was called into recall software. Right after that, I started getting check engine lights wiper blades not working brake sensors. After getting it checked out, they explained there was a mouse nest in my wiper blade which I accepted that's on me. But explained that my brake sensor was kicked off, even though my brakes still have life on them and I need to replace all the brakes for $700. It seems to be like a factory issue to kick off sensors when the pads are still fine. This is my only negative experience. It is odd to me that all this happens after a software update. they said I can not fix the sensor without all new pads and rotors. The main reason I'm frustrated is because this is a new lease a little over a year with 19,000 miles on the truck that I got brand new. A big selling point when they sold me this truck was the brakes and tires are rated for longer than my lease so I will not have to change either. read more

Brand new, 2022 Silverado. First new vehicle for me since 1973. Very exciting, but... I purchased AND PAID FOR all the features I wanted. The dealer found my truck, prepped it and delivered it with the promise that they'd soon add the "chip" ( integrated circuit electronics) to make all the cool stuff work - like heated seats, heated steering wheel, 4/8 cylinder management for improved mileage, and more. Almost a year later, I'm still waiting. Calls, letters, emails... and nuthin'. No response from the dealer after many emails, calls, a visit to the manager and letters. No response from the company Chevrolet. Next stop: Consumer Protection Unit of the Attorney General's Office for Vermont. I've had it! If there was a "0" star rating, they would get it because the "1" star rating is deceptively high. read more

I am writing this review because Lamoille Valley Chevrolet in Hyde Park, Vermont, did the most heinous manipulative unethical business practice on my mentally disabled cousin. Years ago LUHS graduated him without being able to read or write. He's not had a great life but still has the biggest heart and will help anyone he can. My cousin is on SSDI. He gets $1,080 a month for rent, food, everything. He walked everywhere in all weather for years. He saved for years and finally had enough to buy a little used truck. The truck had a problem and no one was able to figure it out. I suggested he go to Lamoille Valley Chevrolet so they could figure out what was wrong. At least if they fixed it, it would be guaranteed. He went with his son. He called me while he was there and was so excited because they were letting him buy a $40,000 truck. How was that possible? He was on SSDI and his son only had a part time job. I told him I would come right away and to not sign anything. He asked me not to go because he knew I would stop the deal. They also told him his little truck was junk and wouldn't pass Vermont inspection. They ended up fixing it and selling it anyway. Now, my dear cousin is homeless, living in the truck. He can't get housing help because the truck is too valuable. His payment and insurance are $1,027!!! He has $53 for gas, food, housing. In my opinion, Lamoille Valley Chevrolet has committed a crime against a vulnerable individual. How could this not be illegal? How could they do this? They completely manipulated his emotional state clearly knowing he didn't have the skills to process the ruin this would have on his life. You can't show someone with limited capacity a fancy truck and tell them it could be theirs. But, they did. His son is no longer working but Lamoille Valley Chevrolet let him have a loan for $40,763 for the truck and 17.5% financing that added another $25,842. And, with the add ons it came to a total of $69,459!That is so wrong. Of course my cousin won't consider giving up the truck, it's his home now. These people at Lamoille Valley Chevrolet prey on the vulnerable. I do not believe he is their first victim. The vulnerable don't often complain and if they do, they're most likely not heard. These people suck!!! At this time, we have contacted the Vermont Attorney General, the Vermont Consumer Protection Agency, and the Vermont Disability Law Program. read more

I woke up this morning on vacation to a myriad of issues potentially wrong with my car. I spoke with Kyle in the service department and although they would be closed by the time I got there he would set up for me to get a loaner car and said he'd make sure to get my car in Monday. The dealership was great and everyone was so friendly! Fingers crossed that the issue isn't too major and I'll get out cleanly in a couple of days! These guys and gals are the best in the business because they know what service really is. I bought my brand new Equinox with Kyle this January and it went so smoothly that I drove off in my new car 2 days later. The morning that I was going to pick the new car up and use my old car as a trade in my car wouldn't start, it was dead. I thought oh great, now what? I didn't have anyone to jump start it. I called Kyle from McMahon and he was there in 5 minutes, got my car started and offered to get me a cup of coffee! He even offered to give my 97 year old dad golf lessons in the Spring, lol. Anyway, I love my Equinox, it's an amazing car, I knew I wanted a Chevrolet because the OnStar capabilities and I'm glad I got it at McMahon. read more

I called in to see about making an appointment to have my tire patched which is the same "idea" as being plugged. I spoke with a Rebecca who was very short with me, condescending, talked over me most of the time, and didn't know the prices for anything. She finally told me it'd be about $25 for the labor, but couldn't quote me parts prices. I work in a Chevy service department, and that repair should be around $45. She did not want to give me a price range or go through the effort to consult with the parts department. When I asked if I would still be charged for a tech to look at the hole which normally takes two minutes, she said I would still be charged labor because they have to find the hole which I told her early on was already marked for them. If they were simply putting in an external plug, then testing it and it failed needing an internal plug, then I could see an extra charge. She did at one point ask the make and model of my vehicle which she never went on to use that information she asked for, following it up with that they stock all the parts. Maybe that's true, but all I wanted to do was secure the parts were in stock in case so I didn't have to make several trips from the Notch Rd in Jeffersonville because I've seen things happen resulting in parts not being available, though rare for a tire repair. She said we could order one tire, but with an AWD vehicle and not shaving it down or finding it used, that would ruin my drivetrain over time. I get this is a small repair, but I'm not gonna throw $25 at some guy to look at it for two seconds to say no you need a new tire. A good tech can normally tell if it's repairable. She told me they're flat rate, which I understand, but it's a half hour IF they do the repair... I guess my dealership is a bit kinder and fair to customers that have done most of the work ahead of time for them. It's not like an hour diagnosis and then I decide not to do the repair, nobody would have been shorted the two minutes. Am on vacation from CT so would like to complete the repair for the trip home and avoiding the drive to Burlington, but definitely disappointed with how they treat new customers asking simple questions and fighting for vague answers. Went to another closer repair shop that quoted $30 out the door, called it a patch, looked at the hole, and confirmed based on the outside it could be repaired, dismounted the tire in two minutes and found the side wall had ground down making it a hazard to repair. Left the tire off the rim for me, torqued a full-size spare, and didn't charge me even though I was one of their few appointments that day... read more

I went to a different Chevy Dealership in Burlington Vt first. Giant place with tons of cars. They were horrific and i walked out after seeing all the games they wanted to play. I then went to McMahon Chevy/Buick in my own neighborhood not expecting the Red Carpet Treatment - What i got was a giant surprise ! Personalized service. FULL disclosure. From the owner to the mechanic, they were delightful....including the dog " Rudder " whom i promised honorable mention in leu of a treat. I purchased a NEW Suburban. I got a awesome deal ! So happy. And i can confidently say i will go back for my next car. My sales person was Kyle - he went out of his way for us along with Steve, one of the owners. They worked together to help me get the vehicle... not to try to find a way to shake me down like the other dealership.They listened to what my needs were and made the deal happen accordingly. McMahon Chevrolet was amazing! We were on a family road trip when we discovered that the work of 2 other GM dealerships had not correctly repaired our car, which needed immediate attention. Steve, Tony, Tyler and Keith all went above and beyond to get our car repaired while we continued our vacation in Stowe.
