One of the best wine tasting experiences I've ever had in Sonoma County This winery is located off the beaten path. It may take a few twists and turns to get to but the drive is a beautiful adventure in itself. If you come here late October to mid November, you'll see the vineyards as well as its surrounding in gorgeous Fall colors. Such a treat! We were in the area for just one night and just learned about Lambert winery the night before from the locals. We couldn't make online reservations but decided to stop by. And I'm glad we did! We were warmly welcomed in and offered a glass of house wine while waiting. The staff decided to offer us a short version of wine tasting and offered an option for us to purchase a bottle and some snacks so we could have a picnic ourselves in their gorgeous garden area. And of course, as a thanks to how friendly their service was, we opted for both options - short wine tasting first and picnics later The lady who helped us with the wine tasting was so knowledgeable! She was the first one to explain to us the difference between wines in different regions in California. We learned so much and felt very welcomed. After the short wine tasting, we were led to the garden area which charmed us instantly. Glasses were provided as well as drinking water. While visiting my husband's aunt, a member at Lambert Bridge for over 20 years, she arranged a tasting for the three of us--it was exquisite from start to finish! Though they have a beautiful garden area, the air-conditioned interior was a welcome relief from the 100+ degree weather. We were warmly greeted with a refreshing splash of Sauvignon Blanc the moment we walked in, and soon after, we were seated in a cozy lounge area in the barrel room. A standout detail was the personalized tasting menus that included a welcome with all three of our names--such a thoughtful touch that I've never experienced at any other tasting room. The service was exceptional. Finn guided us through the tasting and shared fascinating insights about the winery's history, grape sourcing, and production process. Other staff members also stopped by to welcome us throughout the experience, including Jen, the winemaker, who chatted with us before we left. It was such a treat to hear directly from her about the wines and her process. I appreciate that our waters were always full, wines were poured promptly, and the small snack plate that paired perfectly with the tasting. This was my very first wine experience and I was blown away by the service and presentation of the whole arrangement. Took my wife here for her birthday and they made the whole celebration amazing! We got personalized wine samplers with amazing pairings and our guide Stephanie made the whole experience fun and informational. I can now see why people drink wine. Tasting wine directly from the winery gives a better flavorful rather than the nail polish taste you get from the store. We left the experience buying like 3 or 4 bottles and will definitely be back with our friends to share the whole experience again. We arrived at the winery about 3pm in the afternoon on a Monday. At arrival it was an instant moment to exhale, take in the natural beauty of the environment that surrounded us. A beautiful tasting room awaited us as we walked up to the building. We arrived to a warm welcoming smile and greeting by the winery staff with a splash of wine. Stephanie introduced us to the selections of wine and shared the property layout and history, she was fabulous and made our time at the winery very comfortable and welcoming. We enjoyed a wonderful time with Danielle for our wine tasting and pairing, and she was fantastic as well. She did a great job of explaining and making you feel comfortable with all of the aspects of wine tasting, whether it is your first time or your a seasoned wine drinker she will make you feel comfortable without any kind of overbearing wine stigma. This winery feels like home if you could imagine what you'd like to wake up to every morning. The wines are wonderful, they feel easy to drink and very clean without heaviness. The food pairing was very well paired with our tasting, it enhanced the wines and elevated our experience and gave us a lovely perspective on the tasting of the metamorphosis of the wine with selected pairings. The wine is priced fairly and is a must try. If you are an electric vehicle driver the parking has charging stations for your car, you can charge your car and charge up your wine palate at the same it, a win,win! Lambert's bridge is the kind of boutique winery that resembles something out of a movie. My experience here felt like a magical little fairytale. I came here with my best friends for my bachelorette trip, and Lambert's Bridge made it such a special experience. For the wine tasting, they created a menu with my name on it. It was such a small detail but such a wonderful surprise! Harrison gave us our wine tasting (the wine was great, of course) and talked us through the qualities of each. We also met Jen, the VP and winemaker, during our visit. We were seated outside on their patio overlooking the garden area. The weather was absolutely perfect which added to our whole experience. My friend's family has a membership here, so I was stoked to visit for a tasting! The winery is undoubtedly beautiful. Very lush and green and aesthetically set up. We got a table outside for our tasting and really enjoyed how open and clean it was. They have so many stunning flowers but not in a way that is overwhelming, and we enjoyed walking around the garden after our tasting. All the staff members here are really friendly and nice. Michelle was especially cool and let us try a few extras. I decided go purchase a Chardonnay, which was definitely one of my favorites. Full disclosure, I am a member here at Lambert Bridge so I've been here a few times and love this place and their wine. If you are visiting, you are likely visiting with another member and should know that if you want to purchase wine, the member will be making the purchase for you (the team at Lambert are super flexible and will charge you directly so you don't have to worry about paying your friend back if that is a concern), but... just like to put this out there so there are no surprises for first time visitors. Lambert Bridge is a gorgeous winery in the Dry Creek area of Sonoma. You should plan some time to get there as there can sometimes be traffic. To enter the property you will cross a (gorgeous IMO) one lane bridge so that can sometimes cause a bit of a back up. Once you arrive, there is parking on property. Tastings since the pandemic have been at 11:00am and 2:00pm and can be indoors or outdoors. They offer food with tasting (a small Charcuterie and other items) and very special touches like customized experiences. - Side note, when you are a member, you are able to customize the wines you receive, and you are invited to a lot of really fun member events. If you are looking for a winery to join, make sure to check this one out and consider it... while it is on the more pricey side, you get a lot for what what you are paying. We had a great day with our guide Maureen. She talked us through each wine we tasted. Personally, I'm not a fan of fruity whites, so I don't love the sauvignon blanc, but two of the people in our group really liked it. I loved the other wines we tried even though some were familiar to me, and there was one that was new to me that I look forward to having again in the future. This is what I love about tasting is finding new treasures! Thanks to the great team there - it's a fun, casual but elegant environment. Definitely recommend if you are visiting with a member and looking for a way to spend a beautiful afternoon or morning. 5 stars! - Edit - had to come back because I forgot something VERY important and a key reason I joined... We enjoyed all of their wines -- from a starter of nice, light bubbles -- through a not-at-all oaky chardonnay -- to a wonderful selection of reds. They offer very limited production, so expect to not be able to purchase bottles beyond one or two things, unless you become a member. While we seriously contemplated going in on a membership as a group, I still haven't met a winery that I love enough to commit to joining a club. First, the positive. the staff are friendly and the setting was very pretty. But then again, I don't think I've been to a Sonoma or Napa winery that isn't beautiful. Now the negative... if you're like me, I enjoy visiting wineries to taste wine with the goal of bringing home unique wines that can't be found in retail stores. That said, we hired a guide who chose Lambert Bridge Winery as one of our stops and it wasn't until we were well into the tasting that it was explained to us that we could not purchase anything we were tasting unless we joined the club which required a minimum purchase of 24 bottles. We were obviously very frustrated because we had no intention of joining the club and that should have been explained to us as soon as we sat down. So if purchasing what you taste is one of your goals, you cannot do it here. read more

I came to Lambert Bridge last Saturday with my family for an early fathers day picnic. The winery is beautiful from inside the tasting room to the surrounding grounds. Very tastefully done and a great place to hang out. The place was relatively empty when we arrived and we were greeted upon entering by the tasting room staff. I thought they were very pleasant, especially the woman who helped us. I liked the presentation of the wines and her knowledge. The set up in the tasting room isnt kitschy like some wineries with too much self-promotion and I liked that about Lambert Bridge. The four of us did the Classic Tasting as the reserve room was pretty full, but honestly I only liked the Sauvignon Blanc and Merlot...and only in the basic terms of "like". The Cabernet was okay, but I didnt feel like it was as full bodied as she described it would be. Also I have never herd of a winery charging for tastings and not deducting that if you buy a bottle...especially at the prices that Lambert Bridge sets for their wines! Would I return...maybe. The grounds were beautiful and I might buy a bottle of the Sauv Blanc and have a picnic, but at the same time there are so many other wineries to visit in the Dry Creek area. +1 star for allowing doggies though! read more

I could give 1 star but have chosen to give 2 stars because the property, grounds, and tasting room are all quite gorgeous. And the wine wasn't terrible. Other than the beauty of the property, I was very turned off by this winery in many ways. 1. The staff members are very, very, very snooty. 2. Their wines are insanely overpriced and the wines don't deserve to be priced that high. 3. Their tastings are above average in cost and only entail very small pours. One pour can disappear with a sip! Tastings are way too small. Comes across cheap...especially in light of their high tasting fees. 4. They appear to have a strict tasting program and the staff members were very uncomfortable with the idea of changing the selection (even though the wines were all at their fingertips). 5. They first greet you in front, outdoors, but it's all just pomp and circumstance. The front door greeter doesn't offer you wine or provide you with anything. It's all quite silly. read more

Lambert Bridge changed my mind about white wines. I was not a fan, I enjoyed red wines almost exclusively. I've tried many whites over the years and was never impressed. Enter Lambert Bridges Chardonnay. First, if I didn't like a white I didn't not like expect it to be a Chardonnay, second I did not expect to like it enough to dedicate myself to joining a wine club and committing to 6 cases a year. Yes! It is that good. The staff is amazing and knowledgeable. They know more about wine than I should hope to learn in 2 lifetimes, they have a beautiful location as well. I liked the old trucks they had outside the tasting room, but not much else. There was a limo parked in front, perhaps from a wine tour of some kind. We arrived at the premises late in the day, but they actually welcomed us. But right away you felt a bit tense. The waitresses were trying to make conversation, but you could tell that it took every once of energy left in them to do so. Their pours seemed belabored the tasting was a bit expensive: $15 for their introductory wines. There's a bit of baseball memorabilia displayed as well as a big letter from the mayor of some city in the east coast. I can't remember. But I guess if all that I could recall were trivial matters, the winery wasn't that enticing. Before long we got out of there and went on our way. Going to places like this reminded us of how much better other wineries are. Some people say their wines are great, but I hopefully it came with more enthusiastic service. read more

Their reds are big and bold, full of flavor, but they are pricey. I don't think they had a bottle under $50 and they went up from there. I enjoyed the 2011 Maple Vineyard Zinfandel, Dry Creek Valley and the 2007 Limited Selection Cabernet Sauvignon, Sonoma County very much. "European" style wines meant to be paired with food. These wines don't drink well on their own as they are quite delicate, with dainty flavor profiles that do not linger. Gorgeous estate, and I saw a few signs for wood-fired oven cooking lessons (perhaps that will be useful when I quit my government job, marry rich, retire early, and move to Sonoma county where I'll have said wood-fired oven). I felt compelled to write a review and give ALL the stars because 1) this winery is lovely and 2) there were a few 1 star reviews that baffled me, so then I read them and realized- these people didn't event taste here! They showed up and didn't like the tasting price so they left! It's so unfair to the winery to review them in that way. Just do a little research before showing up to a vineyard and you'll find all the info you need... pricing, appointments, etc. No need to be surprised and disappointed! This was a true "pairing" in a beautiful tasting room. The cheeses were expertly paired with the wines. I normally can't handle even the smell of a strong Cab or Petite Sirah but the cheese allowed me to. Our server was very knowledgeable about every step of the process. We only stumped her with a question that only a seasoned grower would know. The pairing fee is not waived upon purchase but that was ok in this instance. The wines are expensive but definitely worth it. We ordered half a case and will save for special occasions! The wine club was a bit out of our price range. Even individual bottles really are for a gift for someone we really like or anniversary. Now they aren't $200 a bottle but we try to stay in the $45 a bottle range. These are higher than that. But I really have to recommend the pairing and not just a tasting. I believe it was $45 each. The wine is small batch with no distribution if I remember correctly. They even accommodated the lactose intolerance of one member and brought out delicious local goat cheese. read more

When I read the reviews here, looking for a vineyard to visit, I dismissed that most of the negative ones mentioned the servers as unpleasant - thinking what really mattered was the venue and the wine, right? WRONG. This place reminded me that an unpleasant experience with a server can absolutely poison a place for you. Our server was so rude. She was so obviously catering to a certain clientele... (which we presumably were not, and could not get us out of there fast enough) to quote another reviewer she had "zero eye contact and (was) constantly scouting the room for 'whales.'" - and that reviewer wasn't even referring to the same person! That said, on our way out we had the first sincere and pleasant exchange with a young man who worked there... too bad he didn't serve us instead. Other nice things: their dogs are awesome!
