The dishonesty, lack of integrity, and unprofessionalism displayed throughout the nine-month ordeal has placed a significant burden on my family. What should have been an exciting and positive home improvement project quickly turned into a complete nightmare. Despite our patience and flexibility, we were forced to endure prolonged absences from job site, repeated false promises, lack of leadership and direction, constant turnover in their crew, and consistently poor workmanship. We rearranged nearly every part of our daily lives to give O&E Remodeling every opportunity to complete the job they were hired--and paid in full--to perform. Even with that, they still failed to deliver. To make matters worse, several key tasks remain incomplete; major electrical work, cabinet painting and hardware installation, installation of mantle and shelves and multiple areas of unfinished surfaces throughout the project. These are basic, critical elements of the job that were left incomplete despite repeated assurances that they would be addressed. It is impossible to understand how this company believes its actions are acceptable or how it can show no remorse for the financial, emotional, and personal hardship it caused. At this point, the only responsible conclusion is that O&E Remodeling's services should be avoided. Based on my experience, I would strongly advise others to look elsewhere.

The kitchen we wanted to create required removing 2 interior walls in the living room, including a wet bar, and a major support wall. It was a massive undertaking and involved the re-routing of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and changing the floor. The structural components of the project, themselves, were a challenge, but the aesthetic updates proved to be an entirely additional issue for most home and kitchen renovation companies. We wanted to update our 80's style kitchen and keep our original cabinets. I was repeatedly told this wasn't possible. Lifestyle was more than happy to honor my wish of keeping the cabinets, while also adding newer ones that contrasted, and even updated the hardware on the originals. Additionally, after removing the wet bar, there was a big space in our original wood parquet flooring. We'd been told by ALL the companies that the wood parquet had to be replaced for different reasons, mostly that it would be hard to find a new one to match the original. As a result, we planned to replace the entire downstairs flooring (a $25K cost to us) to accommodate the new gap in the floor. Haviv's team pieced together and stained new parquet to match. We were amazed by how it turned out! Everything in the space flows so seamlessly. It feels as if the wet bar were never here to begin with, and the kitchen is new and fresh, but also maintains it's original character and beauty. Over and over again, other renovation companies wanted to rip out the entire kitchen to create a new "modern" one. My fear was a kitchen that felt out of place in our older home. Lifestyle went above and beyond to give us a kitchen that truly feels like it belongs. Haviv was spot on for his estimated completion, and I thought the crew was unbelievably efficient with their time, arrived early, stayed late, and Haviv was on site various times daily. Even with the different city inspections and contractors for electrical, HVAC, and plumbing, there was never a day when our home didn't have people working here to get it done. We also have 3 and 5 year old kids running around, and the crew went above and beyond to contain all the debris and materials within the workspace they created. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Lifestyle to any of our family and friends. The result is beyond our dreams!

Last year I had a fence blow down on one side of my house (along with most of San Antonio) and I was having a hard time getting a contractor to call me back, much less give me an estimate. Allen not only called me back, he came out and gave me a reasonable estimate and said he would work the job in as soon as he could. I was getting nasty notes from my HOA so this was a big help to me. The work was done on time, on budget, and MUCH better quality than the original builder. I had him give me an estimate on a deck at that time and was impressed out how reasonable it was. Fast forward to now and I am ready to build a deck, and my circumstances and finances allow for a much nicer deck than what he originally estimated. First I went through Home Advisor (which I recommend if you're lonely... you will get all kinds of calls lol) and they sent 3 different contractors out. I sent the first home without an estimate because he wouldn't even give me a quote unless I signed paperwork on the spot. The other two were also VERY high pressure and their quotes were... well they were high (like you have to be kidding high). That's when I remembered I had Allen's card and gave him a call. He came out himself and took measurements, asked questions about what I wanted (one of the other companies insisted on telling me what I wanted) and gave me a ball park quote on the spot. Just based on this experience and the previous work I would highly recommend them, but of course I will update this review once the work is done. (it's 3/16/18 now and I hope to start on it within the next month).
