So, I called a highly rated AC company in the Bryant area. They came out and told my that my compressor would need to be replaced with a new system. The next morning I received a quote for 6k from them. I decided to have Cracker Jack perform a 2nd opinion, and within minutes they determined that the compressor was not the issue with a power surge that was noticed. The issue was just a fan replacement! They did not bad mouth the other company, but showed alot of class by stating they could see why the other technician was mistaken. Cracker Jack did a fantasic job for me again. I cannot recommend them enough!

Also, the…read moreowner of the co Brandon Stowe, has a history of dishonest work in the yelp reviews of his name. I spent $980 for faulty and unnecessary repair work to my AC unit. Crackerjack installed unnecessary parts (the wires were not even connected) and an incorrect part causing my condenser motor to overheat and shut down. Crackerjack offered to return and repair the motor for another $630. Thankfully, i did not allow them to return and I got a second opinion from a reputable HVAC contractor and found out about the fraudulent repairs. Once the correct part was installed from a reputable HVAC contractor, my unit has been working perfectly.

Since they installed the York units in 2013, I have literally had them out to my house every year working on them. I always thought their prices were high, but I recently found out they were unreasonably (rip off) high. In early May 2023, my a/c stopped blowing so I had them come out to take a look. They told me that the furnace fan had gone out and it would be $4500 to replace it. They said for another $200 they could replace the entire furnace. I was about to tell them to replace the furnace but then I decided to slow down, try to find the cost of the part on the internet and get a second estimate. I was able to find the part on the internet and it was WAY cheaper than what they said. I got a second estimate from a well-known, reputable HVAC company in the Little Rock area and they quoted me $2,500 for the repair....$2,000 (almost 60%) less than M&Ms quote. This made me start thinking back to one of the outside units M&M replaced a few years ago. I thought what they charged me for that seemed high as well, so I looked up the brand and model (which got horrible reviews) and found the retail cost of the unit was about $1,500. They charged me $4,200 and it took them less than an hour to install. This is partially my fault because I trusted them and never went out for other quotes. I wanted to support this small, family-owned business because I thought they would have to be fair and honest to stay in business. That was a mistake! Unless you want to get cheap equipment at astronomical prices, I would avoid this company at all costs.
