Lama Flowers is the absolute best investment we could have made for our wedding. First of all, they took care of everything from our stage, to the chairs and linens, to our floral arrangements IN ADDITION to our dance floor, fog machine and cold sparks for our dance. Not only are they extremely organized, incredibly creative, unbelievably talented, but they also made working with them very easy. They communicated with our wedding hall and set up everything well in advance. They helped us make a lot of right decisions and did their best to meet our budget. As for setup, Everything turned out PERFECTLY the day of. They went above and beyond for our decor. The floral arrangements were much bigger than what I had expected. And the floral centerpieces they made for my dessert table were magical. Our stage looked even better than what I had anticipated and they matched my vision really well. Outright scammed on Mother's Day. The bouquet pictured is heavily touched up. Paid over $80 to arrive the day of finding my withered bouquet wilted in a fridge for what looked like multiple days. The prettiest thing about my arrangement was the vase... and that's not okay. The petals on the roses were curling and the white alstroemeria were already browning. Total, the roses lasted two days before slumping over (they didn't even open/bloom). FTD refunded my husband. I'd never order flowers from Lama's based on this experience. read more

To be fair, first and foremost it needs to be said some customers have a great experience with Lama's, and some customers do not. My first impression of this business was not good. The store is extremely filthy and messy. However I gave Lama's a chance because first impressions are not always right. All the employees, including the owner Zena, are pleasant and willing to assist. When I first contacted Zena to book a consultation appointment, she asked I bring in pictures to show what I wanted...so I did bring in pictures. She continued to reassure me they can do anything, they will make my dreams come true, they understand what I want. When discussing my vision for my event, I provided her an estimated count for my event. I confirmed I will give her the final count the week of my event and she agreed. I liked that they have customers sign a contract. However once the "contract" is signed and the purchase order, the final price cannot be adjusted. The week of my event, my final count was 20-30 less than the original count. Zena refused to adjust the price of my event. Instead, she had to put flowers elsewhere to match up the final cost we agreed to. She also took my original ESTIMATED guest count and went ahead and purchased chairs from a third party. The week of my event when I gave her the final count, she was adamant that Sam explained to me they have to pay for these chairs ahead of time to guarantee their availability. I confirmed several times this was not communicated to me. She said it was in the contract. It wasn't. I asked her to contact this third party company for a refund. Sure enough she got the refund of the different in count (for the chairs). Zena continued to reassure me "yes, don't worry, I understand, I know what you want" however I did not feel this way when I first entered the hall of my event. Overall: unsanitary store, POOR selection of centerpiece stands, miscommunication and lack of ownership. I was very happy with my flowers as they were in full bloom and absolutely breathtaking. The setup was beautiful, but some aspects of the hall were not what we discussed. If you consider Lama's for your event, buyer beware to speak clearly and obtain CLEAR understanding from Zena! Update: after posting this review, they don't acknowledge any of the issues I experienced. instead they said "fair enough, thank you". So unprofessional. read more

Ordered flowers for my mom's birthday via a third party retailer. Lama's Florist was in charge of preparing and delivering the flowers, but delivered to the wrong address. After a lot of asking and chasing around, the next day discovered they were delivered to the house across the street. Spent over a hundred dollars and my mom never got her fresh birthday flowers. When I called to see what they could do about it, they kept changing their story, very clearly trying to talk circles around me to deny responsibility, telling me to take it up with the 3rd party retailer (which of course I am doing as well), comparing it to Doordash, which is a false analogy because Doordash handles its own deliveries so of course a misdelivery wouldn't be the restaurant's fault, whereas Lama's Florist has their own delivery person and was responsible for delivering the flowers here and the mistake came from their end. First they tried to claim the address was given to them incorrectly because they "never misdeliver", which is obviously not true, I double checked the address many, many, many times and I'm sure they knew they couldn't claim this because then they switched their excuses. Then they started to say that no one was home, which is a blatant lie, my mother was AT THE WINDOW and saw the flower delivery van pulling away down the street, and my brother and sister were home as well, nobody knocked on the door, and I told my mom to go outside to see if something had been left on the porch. Nothing. Then they said if no one is home their policy is to leave it on the porch, unless the weather is bad in which case they leave it with a neighbor, which is a ridiculously unbelievable claim, no business would have a policy like this, and on March 3rd 2021 the weather in Dearborn was a balmy 55, so why wouldn't they just leave it on the right porch if they thought that no one was home? Then they said they had to check the delivery slip to see what happened and that they transmit that information to the third party retailer which then makes a decision, and so they'll tell me what's on the delivery slip and then I can take it up with the third party retailer. So which is it? Did they need to check the delivery slip to find out what happened? Or did they know for a fact that no one was home and so it was left with a neighbor because of the bad weather? Well, they went to check the delivery slip and came back and WOULDN'T TELL ME WHAT IT SAID though i asked several times, just saying that they told the third party retailer what it said and it was out of their hands from here. So again I asked what was on the slip and what the delivery driver said happened, and they conveniently got another call and put me 'on hold' and hung up 30 seconds later. I just wanted the flowers I paid for to be delivered to the address they were ordered for. read more

People have every right to know what they might get themselves into. Almost $100 for 1 1/2 dozen roses and limp babies breath when it was supposed to be a huge arrangement with 3 dozen roses in a heart shape, placed inside of a red vase, and tied with a red ribbon. Not only did they steal my money considering I didn't get what I paid for, but it was absolutely embarrassing. It's an experience I will never forget. Unless you are a wealthy, "Lebanese" consumer seeking flowers worth $12,000 to decorate your wedding, I would recommend you stay far away from this place. They are clearly discriminatory against individuals on a budget, and even worse, ethnicities not similar to their own. THREE times I walked in there for consultations, not once did they recognize or remember who I was, which annoyingly resulted in me starting over with my wedding visions. Unless you bring somebody of similar background to them (which I finally did on my final consultation, btw) they will not bargain or decorate an event that is "instagram worthy" in their eyes. The gentleman at the front desk once said, when he didn't realize we were not Lebanese, "we generally turn Palestinians away when we have two-three weddings in a day," assuming because Palestinians don't "spend as much as Lebanese." They are aggressive and offend easily. The WEEK of my wedding, I was asked what my color scheme was, despite the fact that I had printed out colored pictures of EXACTLY what I had wanted. I had my wedding last week and was extremely disappointed. I spent $1,500 on garbage. I wanted dark and light greenery with pops of white anemones. My aunt went to pick up the bouquets and they were pink, purple, and red roses. I was FaceTiming and said no that's not AT ALL what I wanted (we had a "Halloweenish" wedding my colors were black, green, and gold)...the employee begins to spray the flowers while they were in the bouquets which even sprayed the white anemones. I feel like if you plan to do anything different than the basic white and pink bouquet, you're doomed with this company. Also a lot of miscommunication, I gave my card number for the deposit, they never took the money out, I called back and was told my wedding date was full...then received another call to Venmo the money instead. The Tuesday before the wedding I was supposed to see a mock bouquet, when I went for the appointment I basically had to go back over what I wanted even though they had the photos from the previous visit. Lama is hands down the best, most understanding and easiest florist to work with. I was originally with another florist before her however i began to doubt that she could deliver what i asked for and began to feel uneasy. so i began to look at other florists and thats when i found lama. Lamas florist had the biggest inventory of all the florists (total of 7) that i met with, meaning i had more possibilities of my stage setup then just the basic draping everyone does. She has soo much different backdrops for you to work with. She also made me feel that my wedding mattered that i wasn't just another bride. She worked with me and was even able to do last minute changes 2 days before the wedding. Lamas florist gave us everything we wanted and was a big part of making the best day of my life perfect. We had so many compliments about the setup and everyone complimented us on our centerpieces and wedding decor. Best decision we did was choose lama as our florist. Ordered flowers for a dear friends funeral and when I saw them at the viewing yesterday I was very embarrassed by the quality. From a distance they looked fine, but upon closer inspection I noticed that they were already brown and half dead. I had been in contact for a couple of weeks through email. I finally went in to discuss the details of my event and they gave me until the end of the day to decide if I wanted to put down my deposit and they would reserve everything for me. After going over the options with my fiancé, I called that evening to put down my deposit on what I wanted for the event and I was told they would call me back that night or the next day since they were with a customer. I was pretty disappointed for my co-worker that received flowers. She received them on a Friday afternoon when she was out of the office. When they came in they had plenty of water but the roses looked half dead. Before we left the office we made sure they had plenty of water so she could see them when she came to work on Monday. They were out of direct sunlight and the office was at a cool temp all weekend. When we came to work on Monday the roses were completely dead. They still had water but did not even make it 2 days! Worst florist in Dearborn!!! I booked my wedding on March 18th with them and she wanted all the money up front and now I know exactly why. The owner literally put finger prints in my cake while doing the flowers on it and tilted the cake, Dearborn sweets had to drive to the hall before the wedding started to try and fix what they did. I paid almost $3,000 and got barley any flowers on any of the tables and she only put small portions on 7 tables out of 40 tables. She literally steals people's money and asks for it up front because she knows she is not capable of doing a good job. She put 3 of her business cards on all the table which I personally went around throwing them away, people were asking why all the flowers were dead. No one should go to this place they literally ruined my wedding if it wasn't for VIP doing my lighting,dance floor,drapes, monogram, fireworks,and smoke machine it wouldn't have been nice!!!! This place is just not customer oriented. Pure desperation and the fact that it was the only place open the day I went are the only reason I didn't run from there screaming. The store is a mess and the person behind the counter was nickel and dimming me at every turn.I guess they do a good job on weddings or wholesale orders but my arrangement was embarrassing, unfortunately I didn't have a choice but to take it.
