I grew up in living in the Binondo Area. My family stayed in an apartment for almost 15 years. So aside from the noise pollution and smell of horse poo, I am very much familiar with Chinese Binondo food - something that a dearly miss now that I live in Quezon City. Don't get me wrong though, it's not as if there are no Chinese restaurants in Quezon City. There are definitely plenty, but none really have the taste, ambiance and appeal of the Binondo culture, except for Lam Tin Teahouse.
Some favorites when I order here would be Sweet and Sour Pork, Fish Fillet with Beancurd and Siopao. You'd be surprised how fast this place gets packed during the lunch hour. Good and cheap food travels fast which is why office people love to frequent this humble Chinese fastfood restaurant. I do miss living in Binondo.
