Food was delicious! It was my first time trying Turkish food and i'm so glad I came here! The mixed cold appetizers were amazing with some warm toasty bread. For the main I have to recommend the Lamb Kebab platter, the meat was seasoned and cooked to perfection and the plate was very harmoniously put together. It's a small restaurant that also serves as a Turkish marketplace, the service was quick and attentive. The food was incredible -- we got the cheese rolls, the Shepherd Salad, the vegetarian pide, and the mix grill. Everything was DELICIOUS! So flavorful and cooked from scratch. Everyone was really nice and the service was great. The environment + location is a bit iffy but don't judge a book by its cover! Truly authentic food which is really cool to see on Long Island. Wanted to experience Turkish breakfast and Lale Turkish restaurant was the best place to go. The restaurant shares a building with the Turkish grocery store so it's a one stop shop. When we got inside, we were greeted with one of the owner, who looked like a sweet grandma. She handed us menus and guided us to our table. We wanted to have a real experience and asked for her recommendation. Best decision! First we were provided with tea and water and then the spread. The spread had a cheese roll up, the best fresh buttered bread, dried bread, two different types of cooked eggs, different cheeses, nuts, jama, veggies, etc. The joy of mixing all the flavors together... Wow! Lets talk about feeling like you are transported to someones local Turkish market ! The food is so fresh and everything tastes absolutely well seasoned. Its not a fancy spot but has pleanty of seating space. The service is swift and super friendly. Don't forget to grab your milk top yogurt ! I was so excited to see all the turkish goods they sell! Incredibly disappointed and grossed out. First off our server was vigorously itching both arms while giving us the menu and taking our order (the whole time). Then she noticed something on my plate when bringing it over and used her seemingly dirty fingers to wipe my plate. Not only does this depict the cleanliness but the interior of this spot was visibly dirty and not taken care of. We got the dumpling/ravioli special and it was mini fingernail sized dumpings with a sand grain amount of meat in each mini piece then drenched in sauce. The steak kabab pieces were spit out from both myself and who I was with. It was so salted it tasted like we put a spoon of salt in our mouth. The chicken and steak just were not fresh pieces of meat. The server was rude and confrontational when we mentioned we didn't want to take the food home because of these issues when she asked. We went in for a Friday lunch. Bospherous in Port Washington it is for us, we wouldn't come back if you paid us. Look at the other one star reviews on Google. Same issue about not fresh food, getting food poisoning, and super unclean and dirty. You also see the owner responding to some with a laughably terrible attitude. Came here with my brother for dinner. Got seated right away even though it's a little small. and was given some good recommendations of what to order not having had Turkish food before. Had the Red Lentil Soup and the Pide Lale. We were going to order the Lamb Shish Kebab but another patron recommended the Lamb Adana Kebab. Glad we switched bc it was so good. The food was burnt and tasted terrible. The waiters were very inattentive. We waited a long time about an hour, maybe even longer for the food to be prepared. During this time, they didn't offer any complimentary items. Even though we pointed out to the waiter that the food was burnt, nothing was done about it. The interior of the restaurant was quite neglected, unpleasant, and cramped. Terrible!!! read more

The service at this restaurant was terrible from start to finish. We were a group of almost 12 people, and the waitress was very rude and mean to our group the entire time. The food was cold and seemed old, which made the experience even worse. On top of that, the staff handled things with their hands in an unhygienic way, which was very unpleasant. Stumbled upon a delicious gem - an authentic Turkish restaurant in Lindenhurst, Lale Turkish Restaurant. The food was so flavorful, staff friendly and reasonably priced. Our mouths were watering just from the pictures and we had high hopes during the short wait for our food. We had the Gozleme, freshly made and hot within minutes. It was amazing. Don't miss trying this for your appetizer. We also had the Manti (Turkish dumplings filled with meat, in mint yogurt sauce) and the Mixed Pide. For dessert, we had the rice pudding and Söbiyet. We had an absolutely delightful lunch at LaLa Turkish in Lindenhurst, NY. From start to finish, everything was fresh, flavorful, and made with care. We started with the Shepherd's Salad with feta, which was incredibly fresh and customized to our taste--my husband doesn't eat parsley, and they happily made it without. He ordered the liver with fried potatoes, and it tasted just like something my grandma would make--comforting and perfectly seasoned. The cheese rolls were a standout: light, crispy, and airy with a delicious filling. We also tried the lahmacun, a thin, crispy dough topped with minced meat and spices. Trust me--once you try it, you'll be hooked. It's so good. For the main course, we shared the Mixed Grill, which is listed for two but could easily feed a small family. It was a generous platter featuring a variety of kebabs, including Adana, all grilled to perfection. Though we were too full for dessert, they looked absolutely tempting. And of course, we couldn't leave without trying the Gazoz, a classic Turkish soda that rounded out the meal beautifully. All I can say is--where has this place been hiding?
