Never dismissive. I did not choose a funeral service that was high priced. And to her credit Andrea did not try to sell me one. We visited Lakeview Funeral Home prior to our mother's passing and found it to be clean, spacious and accommodating. It made the transition smooth since our mom was home hospice. They responded promptly to pick up our mother which was very late evening. My husband recently passed away and donated his body to the Anatomical Gift Association. The funeral home collected his body and transported it to the AGA for a separate fee. I prepared a death notice for the newspapers. I met with the funeral director for a maximum of 45 minutes to give them details for the Death Certificate and they handled the newspaper notices. For this, they charged a flat fee of $2,695. I think this is daylight robbery for what they did. They obviously have not made enough millions from all the Covid deaths in the last two years. My family really appreciates Lakeview Funeral Home. About 8 years ago, a neighbor from church passed away. She didn't have any relatives and my mom and a few others from church really stepped in to make sure she could receive a proper Catholic burial. My mom worked with Lakeview Funeral Home and they were very gracious. They were also understanding of the situation and flexible about financing. About 3 years ago my uncle passed away, and once again we contacted Lakeview Funeral Home. He passed away in the middle of the night and someone came right away (in the middle of the night) to help plan the process. I hate to have to be able to write a review for such a place-meaning someone had to pass for me to experience such a place, but I am writing so that others that may be looking for a funeral home can get an idea of what Lakeview Funeral Home was like. The interior was clean and beautiful. The walls, lighting, ceiling, etc was lovely. It is somewhat narrow but long, so it's not ideal for a large wake, but it's ok for 80-100(my estimate). There is a bathroom for each gentlemen/ladies that seemed to be clean. They had mints, water, and tissue boxes everywhere. They brought out more chairs to accommodate the large amount of people that showed up to my friend's wake. And then, on top of that, they have a downstairs area that has seating, dining tables, and a kitchenette. So after the wake, everyone went downstairs and had refreshments. Arrangements for my mother's burial and service went smoothly and I was completely satisfied with Lakeview's caring and considerate manner.

I had my mom service here last year in May. I have to say that this place has excellent service all the way around. They were all very polite, they treated me with respect and took the time to show me different options that would fit my budget. The guy in the office that took care of me was so kind and understanding. Even the guy sitting at the entrance was very kind. I needed an extra 50 cards at the last minute and with no hesitation, that prepared them in minutes. I definitely recommend this place. You will not regret it. read more

Called Lakeview funeral home to find out why they had not picked up my relative from the hospital, as scheduled the day before. They were in charge of transporting the body from hospital as well as preparing the body for transport to another funeral home abroad. Person on phone was rude and dismissive. Furthermore, their lack of speed in handling the situation caused a postponement of 3 days in funeral arrangements. read more

Planning for your own funeral isn't an easy task, but I found it to be a rather comforting experience once I started the process. Worse conduct by the funeral director ! He was rough, no empathy, I felt like what the heck did we do to him and if we didn't like arrangements of what was discussed we could move the body. All business no respect. Do not have a loved one sent there before you go in. I'm serious, I have never in my life been treated so rude and nasty in my life about anything. I was blown away with the service we received from this funeral home for my mother's funeral arrangements. Chris, Ray, and Willie were as helpful as can be and handled everything quickly, efficiently, professionally, and most importantly respectfully. My mother looked GREAT for her wake after they fixed her up. The facility is big, clean, and organized. They handled ALL the paperwork and kept me updated up to the minute. I cannot say enough good things about my recent experience with Lakeview Funeral Home and their handling of my Mother's services. The staff, especially Ray and Chris, made a very difficult time easier to bear with their compassion, kindness and understanding. They truly listened to me and what I wanted for my Mom, and exceeded all expectations. So many of our friends who came to the visitation immediately remarked how beautiful, dignified and at peace Mom looked, and I still repeatedly receive those same comments, even though many weeks have passed. The extreme care which was bestowed upon my Mom was crystal clear and has stayed with those who came to pay their final respects, while also giving me tremendous peace at the same time. In addition, Ray and his staff repeatedly encouraged me to consider their beautiful facility as my "home" for the visitation, and that is exactly what it felt like. They were very attentive to all of our needs and everyone felt welcome and at ease. They could not do enough for us, and helped to ease a great deal of stress at a very overwhelming time. Again, so many who came to the visitation remarked on the loveliness of the chapel, the cleanliness of the facility and the feeling of everything being "just right" for this occasion. Truly, I never had one worry during the entire experience, as I knew that the Lakeview team would do the best job they possibly could. That belief was reinforced the day of the funeral, when Ray provided much-needed support, compassion and kindness throughout all of the difficult events. Finally, Lakeview also provides follow-up to check on the family after some time has passed, and offers a grief support group to help get through the difficult times of loss after all has been concluded. I am so thankful that Ray and Lakeview were the ones to tend to my dear Mother, and provide her with the most lovely sendoff I could imagine.
