Fantastic! First time customer. I brought my Jaguar Ftype R for an oil and filter change. It was so comforting to know I had a master mechanic (James) working on my car. I saved hundreds by not going to the dealership and who knows what mechanic I would have had there. I found this place because I have an aftermarket warranty and I took the time to read the fine print stating that I needed to get services done from an ASE certified mechanic. I am sure if I didn't read that and I needed to fix a problem, it would have been the excuse of the warranty company to deny any claims. I thought most repair places were ASE certified. After talking to several on the phone, I found out that was not the case. I did a quick google search and Lakeview automotive came up as one of the only service/repair places around with that designated certification and a blue label certification at that. I am not exactly sure what that means but I know for me, it was peace of mind. Knowing that the shop and mechanics have gone thru extensive training, have all the tools/devices they need, and continue to get training in all aspects of their business. This professionalism was demonstrated early on when I first called and spoke to Karen, asking all my questions. I also spoke to the shop manager Phill who took the time to put me at ease about bringing my car in vs going to the dealership. When I arrived for my appt, Karen greeted me with a warm hello and Phill came out to introduce himself. I was taken back to the service bay to look underneath my vehicle and met mechanic James who was also very nice and accommodating. I knew my car was in good hands with someone who actually cared about the work they performed, even if it was just an oil change. I would have said a "simple" oil change, but that's not the case w a Jaguar, it's a lot more involved. When the service was done, I received an email with a thorough inspection report with pictures and items that were completed and items that would need future attention. Not once did I feel any type of upsell. It is comforting to know that I am not going to be told something isn't true or need a service that I don't. Bravo, you guys are A++++ in my book and will get all my future car needs. Thank you Lakeview Automotive and all the staff working there. Keep up the good work. Took my truck to Lakewood Automotive for a alignment and brake inspection and replacement. I approved a complete inspection of truck components conclusively during the the brake inspection. Thank goodness, because they did find other issues that could have caused large issues later. I approved most of the repairs. Their prices are better than other repair shops. The service was great, all repairs explained and quote provided for each separate repair need. They even provide a warranty on repairs completed. They are honest and take very good care of the customer. If you are in need of auto repair. Give them a try. You will not be disappointed. read more

Multiple issues in my vehicle, some of which I could not figure out. Lakeview provided an awesome in-depth diagnosis of the issues; including pictures and videos in the report. They were able to quickly order parts after my review and have me up and running again in a very reasonable time. There was a minor miscommunication early on, but they quickly recognized it and addressed it. This was a bad experience. The staff told my son several different things about fixing the car. The big issue was that the mechanic was supposed to check the car for a noise then, supposedly fixed something on the car but not the noise. Then charged 48 dollars to do what you got it not fix the problem. Then when we returned the owner or management was rude. Worse than shade tree mechanics flat out not honest. We then took it to Reidville Rd auto and they fixed the problem in 10 minutes. Didn't charge us anything because it was that minor and Mike and his staff are great. We have been going their for 14 years and should have not went to Lakeview but Reidville Rd was a little busy. Lesson learned. Stay with the mechanics you know. Since moving from Chicago, I've taken my caddy to Lakeview Automotive for my oil changes, brake repairs, transmission maintenance and other car issues. These guys have consistently given me the best customer service by explaining the work they plan on doing in layman's terms and giving me very reasonable options and pricing. They were highly recommended by the discount tire place in town and a few of my new friends. I've gotten free coffee and wifi while I work on my laptop in their lobby during oil changes. More importantly, I really like supporting local businesses like Lakeview Automotive cause the bigger chain places are too cookie cutter for me and these guys are simply nice and hospitable in a time where those qualities are really hard to find! Lakeview will repair your car right the first time, but expect to pay dearly for that privilege. Sometimes as much as twice the cost. So, is the peace of mind of a repair done right vs probably done right cheaper, worth it? That's up to you. read more

I contacted Lakeview Automotive about doing a pre-purchase inspection on a 2007 Toyota Tundra after receiving their name from a Toyota Dealership. Purchasing a vehicle in another state can be tricky unless you can have someone you trust check it out or are able to find a reputable service company there to look at it. However, right off the bat, Kim put me at ease when I spoke to her on the phone with her courtesy & friendliness! I felt like the price for the inspection was fair, so I booked an appointment for the next day. Once I arrived the inspection took a little over an hour, but it was worth every minute of it. They did a very comprehensive inspection & itemized a list of all the things on the truck they found needing repair, even individually rating the items on a scale of 1-10 in regards to how quickly it needed to be repaired and/or the severity. Gary then went over the list with me & highlighted the items of greatest concern, but overall said it was a good truck! He then gave me an itemized quote to repair those highlighted items. I found the quote to be reasonably priced for the repairs quoted. I was able to take that quote & negotiate a better price on the truck from the Seller, which I did purchase. Although I did not get Lakeview Automotive to make the repairs due to my living 4 hours away, I would not have hesitated to do so if I lived in the Spartanburg, SC. area. I would highly recommend Lakeview Automotive to any travelers needing auto repairs during their trip. I found them to be friendly, honest, fair end easy to deal with!
