There's plenty of seating, a super cool laid-back atmosphere, and the kind of crowd that makes you feel like you picked the right place without even trying. Bonus: the UK basketball game was on, the place was packed with fans, and the Cats WON so the energy was immaculate. High fives, cheers, happy strangers everywhere. You love to see it. We had the German Pilsner and the American Light. Both were crisp, refreshing, and exactly what you want in hand while celebrating a UK win. No notes. It's one of those spots where you go for "just a quick drink" and immediately start planning your next visit. We'll definitely be back to try food from Lucy's and hopefully catch a show next time. It's easy to get to, with plenty of parking options nearby (I recommend just scootering or ride sharing if you can), and they have multiple bars with fairly priced drinks. Tickets are never outrageously priced, which is a big plus. The venue itself is temperature controlled and comfortable, with a raised stage that gives good visibility no matter where you stand. If you're someone who likes to be up close and personal with the band/artist this is the spot for you. The only thing holding back a perfect rating is the acoustics, which are just okay in some spots. But the closer you get to the stage, the better the sound becomes. Video from the California Honeydrops show is living proof of that--it was easily the best show I've ever seen! Overall, it's a solid venue that delivers great experiences at an affordable price. Definitely worth checking out if one of your favorite bands is playing!

For the past seven years, she has performed regionally as both a soloist and an ensemble member at a range of venues, including: the Kentucky Center for the Arts, the Frazier History Museum, the Norton Center for the Arts, the Lexington Opera House, the Iroquois Amphitheatre, the Brown Theatre, the Station Inn, the Country Music Hall of Fame, and the Kentucky State Senate. Blakeley has been honored by the North American Country Music Association, the Tennessee/Georgia Country and Gospel Music Association, and the Twin Lakes National Fiddle Contest.
