That said, the bikes were expensive ($7/hour, as much as a Zipcar, with no half day or all day option). Worse, they were very, very small (none came close to fitting a 6' man) and were in middling condition-- the seat (already low) slipped constantly, until I rodethe last 4 mules standing up on the bike, and the brakes were iffy, though not explicitly broken. Overall I am surprised that the bikes aren't in better shape for the price, especially given that it also functions as a bike repair shop. The trail was great and we had a good time, but it was more in spite of the bikes than because of. If there's not another option along the trail for rental, the market is ripe for competition.
