We visited in the evening after spending the day at the beach. The place is nice and the hostesses are very kind and inviting. We had a kid who accidentally spilled the hot chocolate on the floor, so i asked for a mop to clean it up myself; but not only did one of the hosts clean it up, they also served another cup without charging! We had ordered a chai tea, couple of frappes, an iced coffee with the "grasshopper" syrup (mint+chocolate) and everyone was happy with everything. They also have an adjacent book store and a couple of patio tables if you're in the mood for any of those. Definitely a random stop for us. We were looking for a place to get coffee without going too far into town because the traffic from the construction was awful out that way! After giving bad directions to my husband for another shop, we rolled up to this bookstore and decided to give their coffee bar a try. The store? It needs charm. It's not a warm environment. However, the employees will fill that void. Very kind staff, our barista had a friendly, gentle spirit about her. Our coffees: I ordered their medium roast and it was fine, nothing incredible. My husband ordered their mocha + shot and that was muy delicioso! Smooth espresso, rich chocolate, well balanced drink. We will come back sometime for the mocha, and we hope in time they will make the place a little more charming! read more

I was in town for a weekend getaway with the inlaws when I stopped by this place looking for something to drink and information about places to eat around town. This bookstore had a good selection of books from fiction, nonfiction to coloring books. They also had a good selection of coffee drinks. The others in my group opted for cold brew coffee and I had an iced mocha. The iced mocha was pretty good. It tasted like a coffee with chocolate, not sugar with some coffee and chocolate. We also asked for places to grab something to eat, preferably something like deli sandwiches. They had several recommendations which proved to be very tasty. read more

Why doesn't this place have more reviews?!?! Coffee bar was great. Employees were warm and conversational. The book selection wasn't huge, but that's not what the draw of this place is.... I give my drink 4 starts because my cappuccino was delicious! Great foam!!! Very good place to grab a coffee. They were also very friendly.... My favorite place to get coffee!! They have a nice seating area with wi-if and a darned decent collection of books. The staff is always willing to make my drink requests no matter how weird I'm feeling that day. And if they don't have the latest Murakami novel I want, they'll order it for me. How great is that?!?
