Disappointed Long-Time Customer - Poor Service Experience…read more I've purchased six vehicles from Montgomery Motors in Troy, NC over the years, but after my recent experience, I will not be returning. On Monday, May 5, 2026, I visited the dealership to have two key fobs I bought on Amazon programmed. I was charged $75, but unfortunately, the fobs couldn't be programmed. While I was disappointed about that, I appreciated that they were at least able to give me the vehicle access code. Today, I returned with another Ford fob and asked if they could offer a discount since they were unable to program the previous two. The staff member I spoke with said no, stating that the service manager, Donna Miller, required full payment again. When I spoke to Donna directly, I received what felt like a lame excuse, and I left the conversation feeling disrespected. I then spoke with Mr. Thompson, the general manager, who was polite and understanding. However, by that point, I told him not to worry about it--I had made up my mind. I won't be purchasing another vehicle from Montgomery Motors. After years of loyalty, I expected better treatment. I urge others to weigh your options carefully before doing business with them. Customer loyalty should matter, and sadly, it didn't seem to in my case.

They did pay for the damage, but my car has a camera on it and makes a loud noise and the seats vibrate when it gets too close to an object and a forklift is large. I took it back a second time (my misjudgment) for an oil change. I knew my back tire had a slow leak and had taken it to different tire businesses, but they couldn't find a hole. When I went back to get my car, they told me I needed 2 new back tires. I left from there to run errands, and I could watch my tire pressure go from 34 psi to 16 at a stop light. I pulled into a parking lot about a block away. By the time I got there, it was down to 5 psi and totally flat. Pretty suspicious. I will never take my car back there.

I actually did not think the service could get any better, but I was mistaken. This time when I came in for a basic oil change, the tech spotted a whole in a tube and leak in the timing cover. When the service representative, Sydney went above and beyond to reach out to Lexus to see if they could assist me because my warranty had just expired. She made sure to assure me that she could not promise me they would help me. Well, Lexus came back and authorized repairs that would have cost me several thousands. I am grateful for my Lexus experience as a long time customer and I am grateful for Sydney going above and beyond to even try to see if they would allow my car to be serviced under the warranty. I took off from work for this appointment . They were more concerned about selling me a new car or purchasing my car versus providing the service I came there for. When you ask questions, Sales blames Service and Service blames sales. Several of their service reps are actually rude and cocky. I would never buy another car from them. Doing my last visit my car was returned to me dirty with leaves in the floor. I purchased my car and two different service contracts from Hendrick Lexus Northlake. I don't believe they appreciate my business. I will never buy another car from them. I will get my service done elsewhere if it means me having to drive out of state.
